Was Bully wrong there? They did have a 20 count on the floor which they stated on air. They may have dropped it now but TK using it to discredit Bully will make him look bad if some shows a clip of it.

When one of their referees has done this in the past,
I am not really expecting much as far as professionalism goes  :laughy:

A long read, but worth it if you have the time.
I've always been high on Hangman Page but over the course of this story I've grown to love his character. When he wins the title I'm gonna straight up man cry.

When he wins the title I'm gonna straight up man cry. The only problem is Page isn't a recovering alcoholic or alcoholic in real life so it feels like he's playing a character more so than this actually really being him struggling with addiction.

The Young Bucks have fired back at Bubba. Here I thought picking fights on social media for clout was The Bucks gimmick, not Bubba's.

RT, thanks for sharing that Twitter story. Sublime. Absolutely the best thing going in AEW right now. Looks like the Hangman Page payoff is finally coming. The promo with Kenny/Dark Order and especially the Page/Dark Order backstage segment were beautiful. Wholesome is exactly the right word. A really positive wrestling story which tackles modern issues such as mental health and the unconditional love of a strong friendship. It's that kind of content that can really separate AEW apart, not these stale rehashes of common wrestling angles with all the bells and whistles and silly interferences. Also made me appreciate the transition of Dark Order from a laughing stock to amazingly pure babyfaces. It started with Brodie Lee and continues in honour of his untimely passing without being crude or disingenuous. -------------------- Just caught up with the last Dynamite. Some solid matches. Also a rough night for the talent - Reba and MJF got hurt in their matches, not sure what the latest status is.

Glad to see the Dark Order feeling comfortable as babyfaces. I can tell they all feel more relaxed. I've never seen Stu & Uno so calm on the mic.

Just read Onita wants to fight Mox in an exploding barbwire match in AEW. Be something for Mox to do that keeps him away from the title, and Khan does want to do one of these that works.
Clips from Onita's first FMWE show are crazy. Really insane stuff he did in the main event that if he did in AEW would blow away American fans. His pyro looks so good.

TK refused to pay the firework people for botching the exploding death match finish. Something about hiring 'non-wrestling people' is kind of ironic considering he's a booker who bought his way into the seat.

They should do Mox vs Onita on the Jericho Cruise and have Onita throw him overboard. Mox can be off TV for a year and stay home with his kid because he's lost at sea/presumed dead.
Then they can have random shit happen like someone cutting a promo on the beach and they find a bottle with a letter in it from Jon Moxley.

Bonus points if they open the letter and there's nothing written on it and a fist wrapped in barbed wire just comes out and punches them in the face. That's it. To Fan Fic!

Chris Jericho announced on the Busted Open radio show today, that All Out is now completely sold out!
Dynamite and Rampage shouldn't be that far off from being full there, too.
And that's big, because I haven't heard anything about WWE's shows in Houston (1st SmackDown), Fort Worth (Money In The Bank), and Dallas (1st RAW) being sold out.

They aren't counting the valets or managers or announcers who all have been in WWE. Justin Roberts, Dasha, Paul Wight, Mark Henry, Jake Roberts, Vickie Guerrero, Taz, Jim Ross, Tully Blanchard. If you add every personality shown, not just in-ring talent, you will find there are ex WWE people scattered more so.
Christian Cage FTR Miro Andrade Malakai Black Tay Conti Nick Comorato Cezar Bonini Sting Brodie Lee Serena Deeb Ryan Nemeth(He wasn't apart of the recent let go's but I think his WWE ties, particularly with his brother are why he's in AEW)
They also use The Good Brothers routinely on their TV, despite them being Impact signed.
Pre 2019/near the beginning of AEW: Chris Jericho Jon Moxley Jake Hager Cody Rhodes Dustin Rhodes Brandi Rhodes Shawn Spears Billy Gunn

Wasn't the original joke that Impact signed a large amount ex WWE people? So if they are saying AEW is signing more then Impact doesn't that prove people point.
Also you can't compare total releases to amount of inring talent they are using like Blindy pointed out. You either do number with just inring or the numbers with all personal.

Here's the thing, a sports team can say that they're focusing on developing new players and it won't be this season or next season or maybe even the next 5 years, but eventually they'll have a championship winning team.
Wrestling can't do the same, they can't say in 5 years MJF is going to be The Rock 2.0, so just hold your horses. They need to have recognisable talent today.
So I'm not going to be too critical of AEW on this.
The narrative though. The difference in WWE signing Impact talent for example is, the talent is moving up. Using the sporting analogy.. they've been called up from the minors to play in the big leagues. AEW or Impact signing 'older' WWE talent can feel like fielding a minor league team with ex-MLB stars not good enough to play at the top level anymore. This is something Impact did a lot.
And, forgot about AEW signing WWE talent, it was ROH that was bludgeoned to death when AEW was launched. ( Cody, Bucks, Hangman, Daniels, Kaz, Sky, Best Friends )

When WWE's business practice for the last... seven or eight years? Involved just consuming all of the hot acts on the wrestling scene and then just sitting on them so other people couldn't have them, it becomes almost impossible to not have ex-WWE talent.
Also, one of the biggest ratings draws for the entire company is a woman who has absolutely no WWE background, so get the fuck outta here.

Also, one of the biggest ratings draws for the entire company is a woman who has absolutely no WWE background, so get the fuck outta here. The issue is WWE never took shots at ROH or Impact(I think outside of a Triple H quote on them) or any of the British feds when taking the said talent. AEW has these ex WWE wrestlers take shots at the company that gave them their big break or paid them great amount of money or give them the chance to travel around the world as some sort of inauguration. If AEW was just taking the said talent and not give them some sort of soapbox of a podium to vent out all of their anger & frustration borderline weekly, people would not care the ____ of WWE wrestlers they have. But they continue to feed into the toxicity and are in turn not much better than their opposition(And they aren't given they moved NXT away) which is where a lot of viewers who have watched tons of AEW content, myself included, just groan and lose the message. The smark fan is also to blame for not allowing wrestlers who have no background in wrestling try their hand at the sport and instead they continue to want said ROH/Indy darling to get the big stage and big payday. WWE went the route to try and cater to this audience to mixed results. The latest batch of signees makes me think WWE is smartly going back to their roots of getting all sorts of talents. Ex football players or amateur wrestlers.

Why the hate for WWE for hiring independent talent?
You don't pick up a basketball on Sunday and sign a NBA contract on Monday. You play high school/college/minor leagues first and build up a skillset and in doing so, gain exposure leading to being scouted.

I feel like we're underselling the fact that NICK GAGE debuted on national television last night and will be wrestling CHRIS JERICHO next week.
