Rebirth, ya couldn’t let me just enjoy one minigame, really enjoyed Queen’s Blood, then you get to the Golden Saucer and find “Boot Camp.” Was already annoyed the brought back Fort Condor and changed the rules, but seriously, Boot Camp SUCKED. No reason to change the rules and not let you draw cards. Even with a perfect deck it comes down to the pure luck of drawing the right cards per round. Took so long to finally get the right drop to actually win 55 to 50. I had the lead going into the 3rd series but got a really bad hand, may need to try this again. I'm also in Chapter 9 at the moment, trying to finish up all the side quests and intel before moving on. I also gave up on trying to master the situp challenge, awful way they set this one up. The 2nd match relies heavily on not holding down the R2/L2 buttons but they are so sensitive on my controller that it is tough. This is also the 1st game I noticed minor analog drift on the right analog stick, had no idea this was even a thing but seems like it. When I was playing the piano minigame, I saw a down press as if I am holding my analog stick down. This became frustrating when doing 3D Brawler too as I know I was entering inputs to dodge but they weren't counting. May need to hook up my spare Dualshock 5 in the future. Pretty close to the same, quit for the day today when I got to Gongaga, did the first tower and the things connected to it, then got to the town, and did everything but the first story mission. If you haven't won "Boot Camp" at 50+ yet, not sure how much it'll help since you still need the absolute perfect pull (I'm sure there's a million other combinations to do it), but the deck I managed it with was: Security Officer, Mandragor, Cactuar, Archdragon, Fleetwing, Flametrooper, Heatseaker, Chocobo & Moogle, Posh Chocobo, Shiva, Titan, Chocobo Jockey, Ifrit, Mythril Golem, and Grandhorn. Definitely want Ifrit or especially Mythril Golem in your first hand, takes 3 notches, but 5 or 8 respectively gives you a decent chance of winning the middle row and getting the extra card. Shiva was what ultimately put me over, as I had two open spaces left, and she turned the final one into a 6, so I won by 5; even if she'd given me a 2 I'd have had it by 1, if I hadn't had Shiva, but some other card worth just as much, my only other card was a 1 so I would have tied. I might have never played it again, had a huge lead just for the opponent to jump up to 50 off the only lane he won in that hand. I am happy piano only requires an A to win, as I can usually manage that much, thankfully I figured out the left panel, if going at the same time as other notes, is pretty much always a simultaneous note with the right side, so don't have to time them back and forth.

I took down that Boot Camp, the Dio card, Ifrit card and Chocobo Jockey(+10 if you win the lane is impressive). Ended the night on that.
Just started Chapter 10, going to be tough for anyone to beat Yuffie for best character of 2024. She's like Rikku of FF10 but with more dialogue. She's a good hearted silly character and she's actually very useful in combat(Dopplegager+Fire Ninjitsu WHAT!)
Cloud is as stiff as an ironboard(Not a knock on the voice actor, that's by design) but thankfully Tifa, Barrett, Yuffie, Aerith, Cait Sith and Red XIII all save the day.

Chocobo training is really pissing me off, I’m going through the middle of the rings, touching the god damn numbers, and it’s not counting them. Not even hard, just keeps deciding to not count my rings.

What I'm seeing about Rebirth is endless minigame frustration
I've decided to stay spoiler free and not watch any more Rebirth videos. That may change in the future, especially if the PC date gets declared as sometime in the 2030s.
Meanwhile I'm at chapter 12 in the FF7 Remake, which means the Sector 7 plate is about to get blown up. Just experienced the heartbreak of Biggs' and Jesse's untimely deaths. I've also died a few times myself. The very first boss battle against Scorpion Sentry was pretty tough, but since then I mostly haven't been challenged at all with the exception of a random mini-boss battle in the Sector 5 slums (2x Chronomogger) which somehow messed up Cloud and Aries twice before I figured it out. However in Chapters 11 and 12 alone I died four times. Twice to Eligor, the final boss of the Train Graveyard. His final phase is a bitch. Then Cloud vs 2 Helitroopers in Chapter 12. A random battle with a new enemy, I couldn't figure out how to fight them at all. Fortunately Tifa joins the party shortly after and she makes extremely quick work of them.

Definitely a crazy amount of mini games in this one, not so bad for the most part, I absolutely love Queen’s Blood outside of “Boot Camp,” but really hit and miss otherwise.

Had to open my big fuckin’ mouth about the piano, very next song is “Two Legs? Nothin’ to It” and it jumps back and forth like crazy, so, looks like I won’t be getting all the piano awards after all.

Had to open my big fuckin’ mouth about the piano, very next song is “Two Legs? Nothin’ to It” and it jumps back and forth like crazy, so, looks like I won’t be getting all the piano awards after all. Fought like 30 minutes to get an A, that's all I am going for with the piano. They want borderline perfection to get an S and given I have minor drift on the right analog, it's not gonna happen. The trophy for this seems like it only needs A or better so I am aiming for that. Got a bit into Chapter 11 before calling it a night, this game is sort of overloaded in the 2nd half with minigames. There's legit double digit mini games, some work, others don't. The GOATs(Some of the best stuff FFVII Rebirth has to offer): Queen's Blood Chocobo Racing Galactic Savior/SHUMP Dolphin Show Any Barret Minecart/on rail shooter G-Bike Minigame(The end game bike minigame of the original has an appearance here) Alright(Hit or miss, they're whatever): 3D Brawler(This verges onto shitty with a busted analog stick though as I am legit asking for a dodge only to have my character eat a punch) Moogle Roundup(Got them all done) Shooting Gallery/Pirate's Rampage Frog Jump/Frog Guys(As I call it) Run Wild Piano Desert Rush Fort Condor Junon Parade Cactaur Crush(With Aertih this makes the awful category but it was fun with Yuffie, so this is case by case) Awful(AKA take these out of the game): Sit up challenge(Worst one yet again the gym section bombs) Chocobo Flying(The hit detection for this one is bad as you said Rags but what kills me is the inability to get flight after driving downward, so inconsistent) Gears & Gambits(This had a shot of being in the GOAT section until the final one, fuck out of here by giving the final boss multi elemental ability AND Regen that he can pop whenever. Time limit too.) Some of the Chadley combat simulators suck too. The Tremor one where the opponents can randomly decide to immobile your teammates 1 by 1 is an absolute joke and how it got past QA is beyond me. Same with any of the super fiend rematches.

Loving all the Cloud Piano vids. Anyone chopping onions? Some of them have such a nice feel with the beat but yeah they are really demanding, even upping the tempo doesn't make it that much better. Pleasant to watch though no doubt but the game has a pretty rough scoring system here for the S. Red XIII's new voice change is really distracting, he sounded so much better early on in the game. He sounds like a Disney/Kingdom Hearts character in the 2nd half of the game.

Do you think Beethoven was as good as he was in his first few hours of the piano? No! Practice, Blindy, practice - I know you're gods gift to gaming but even you can't be a virtuoso in a week.
I have faith in you.
It might wind up like that movie Grand Piano, but you will be an S-rank pianist when we're through.

I actually let Tifa do the piano work for me, as Madam M said, she has very delicate hands. Having a great time with FFVII Remake though, think I am at 60 hours game wise?

Suck my balls piano! Finally managed to drop an A on "Two Legs? Nothin' to It," funnily enough, I had to make it faster to win. I went from one notch to 3 and managed it first try. No way I can do the bonus songs though, insanity.

Finished up with Rebirth, I didn't end up doing the final relic missions, because it was tedious and not fun and I just wanted to finish the game. Needed to level up a bit and just wasn't in for it. Either way, great game, definitely better than Remake, though jesus fuck that final chapter is slow as shit, also, broke the cardinal rule of modern games, there's an unskippable cutscene just before the final final Sephiroth fight, and the son of a bitch had moves that could 100% drain the lifebars of both characters instantly, so I had to watch it 2-3 times. But other than that, loved the game, my mains were Cloud, Barrett, and Tifa, but really wish there was a 4th slot because I really loved Red XII too; really the only one I didn't care to have in the party was Aerith, her moves to fill ATB were just too slow, all the other characters I liked for different reasons, but never cared for her outside of the Judgement Ray, which I'm pretty sure is weaker than Remake. Now just to wait the several years for Reunion or whatever the call the next one.
In the last couple days, I also beat Inscryption, great little card based game, each act giving you a new twist on the game, from a Rogue-like to a deck builder to...well, another Rogue-Like, but not the same as the first, more defense focused than offense. Nice little head trip of a game. Kinda funny, when I was younger I couldn't stand card based or turnbased, but now I'm finding bits and pieces of both that I do end up enjoying.

Nice little head trip of a game. Kinda funny, when I was younger I couldn't stand card based or turnbased, but now I'm finding bits and pieces of both that I do end up enjoying. I just finished the final chapter of Rebirth, I actually liked Chapter 14 as it was a nonstop boss rush. Chapter 13 with the Tower of Ancients was super long though, the labyrinth was a bit much. There were portions in this game like the Cait Sith part or this case, the Aerith part that was a bit too much. Needing to stay in one place to suck energy to use into towers to progress. The final Sephiroth fight is brutal, I died on it as for the very 1st time, that End is Nigh shit somehow killed Aeirth while I did a Synergy attack with her with Cloud. I never saw that before, those have always had invincible armor when using it and unless you get screwed out of a phase change from a boss, you are golden with it. It was annoying as well not being able to skip the cutscene, thankfully it's a minute long! Cloud/Yuffie/Barret ended up being my go to but Red XII won me over with the party heal/haste abilities. Aerith is whatever but Cait Sith was so-so, feel like Cait has a real learning curve. Can't wait to see Cid and Vincent join the fray, I would assume Cid is going to be the best aerial attacker and Vincent with his monster transformations should be killer. LOVED getting to use Zack Fair in that very last battle, he deserves the shine! Overall a 9/10 for me, it was outside my top 10 for most anticipated games of the year so this one really clicked with me so much better. I really liked Remake, but Rebirth nails the open world stuff. I too didn't fully complete the Gilgamesh one as asking to beat 2 summons in one fight is ridiculous(Cmon Odin and Alexander, really SE? Odin who can instant KO you if you don't perfect parry or block his attacks while you have a giant holy robot doing AOE attacks from the back.) As mentioned, some of the Minigames were hit and miss. I felt fatigue with the Chadley sim fights and the ____ tournaments this game had. There were so many tournaments honestly, like 2 in the Gold Saucer, Gus had one in the Dustbowl, Chadley's simulators, SquareEnix ran out of ideas by the end of this. The lone 2 gripes I had is the story got a bit too much & all over the place, I think there's too much gears in motion and so many characters thrown at you in this game. And I would shave a half point off the graphical issues on performance mode, the game is super pretty at times and at times there's renders of some rocks or trees that look almost PS3 esque! Really nitpicky with the last gripe so yeah this is absolutely a GOTY candidate for me by year's end for sure.

Started in on Rise of the Ronin, the general reviews are pretty close to what I’m feeling, basic open world stuff and not going for high end graphics, but, like always with Team Ninja, great core combat system makes it a ton of fun. Not too far in as of yet.

Started Bayonetta 3, and yeah I really have no patience for cut scenes with minimal gameplay. I hope the actual chapters are a game and less just boss fights.

I've reached the Shinra HQ on Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Which means I've done everything there is to do in the Midgar slums. All sidequests and minigames complete.
Interestingly, the most difficult part of the game so far has been the combat challenges in the Wall Market Colloseum. The hardest one is a 2-person party against a series of bosses from earlier sidequests. Took me five attempts to complete. The third battle against Chronomogger was the toughest. Chronomogger is very resistant to physical attacks but magic attacks allow you to stagger it easily. In the first encounter Aerith is in the party who has magic attacks by default and can use one of her abilities to dual cast. To compensate for Aerith I usedmy defacto mage Barrett to spam Thunder until his MP runs out. This strategy failed several times before it worked, but I couldn't figure out a better way to do it so I just kept on trying.
The second biggest challenge is the Leviathan simulation fight. The first two times he annihilated me, I had no idea what I was doing and I only tickled him before Tidal Wave triggered and wiped my entire party. Third time I realised you're supposed to attack the Dorsal Fin. It was still a fight for survival but I was doing a lot more damage than before. Tidal Wave I survived by healing Barrett to full. The other two characters died, Barrett revived them, I somehow staggered Leviathan and used Tifa's and Cloud's limit breaks at the same time to take him out.
Coming in third is the Behemoth fight. Dude packs a punch but I beat him in my second attempt.
The game is close to perfection, the minigames are great, it flows smoothly, all the characters are fleshed out, phenomenal voice acting. My one gripe is Chapter 14, where you return to the Don Corneo sewers on a quest to climb the pillar. The sewer monsters are the most annoying in the game and you have to grind through an awful lot of the. It ends well with an awesome Don Corneo cutscene that wasn't in the original game, and the second Abzu fight which was a lot of fun.

Playing Sonic Superstars, and as pretty as it looks it's really hard to do anything special in Sonic really. It's all the same. How it has such a dedicated fanbase is beyond me. Then again I'm gonna finally do Scarlet/Violet next and that's been the same game since Red/Blue... so maybe there's something here. Madden ftw.

Been absolutely hooked onto a game that came out 2 years ago in Fuga: Melodies of Steel. Given it came out on Game Pass on SEPT 2022, I didn't want to take a chance and have time run out on me if it goes off the subscription next month so I found time in August to do this. I tried to get into this game a few months ago but I didn't quite get the game. I was admittedly turned off by the andromorphic character design and had a lot of new games to catch up on so I only got into the first 40 or so minutes before putting it on the backlog. But man I went right into this bad boy with the sequel coming out a few months ago(Also on Game Pass) and I am so glad I did. So much thought, so much love got put into this game. Where do you even begin with this one? The concept of having a band of war torn children find each other after their village(s) and parents got kidnapped by the opposing race/military seems simple in an overview but man they really get dark with this game! The pack of kids(Most are cat like creatures("Felineko") with a couple of dog like creatures("Caninu") as well that you find down the road) stumble upon a one of a kind, A+ war machine tank capable of mass destruction and end up using this tank to fight & survive as they look for their loved ones who have been kidnapped or possibly worse. Along the way of their voyage with this new tank, they find a entity existing within the tank itself that guides them and tells them to progress & becomes almost like a moral compass for the kids through the toughest of times. All the while, you have an aforementioned group of militants who have a stronghold of surrounding villages and are often in the way of the kids journey to find their abducted families & friends. Here's where the gameplay lies. These end up becoming Strategy RPG goodness full of pretty intense battles in a side screen moving sort of turn based game with your giant war machine of a tank being your offense and defense vs the swarm of vehicles & machines that lie in your way. You have 3 major type of gunners, the Machine Gunners who are middle when it comes to power & accuracy(Blue characters), the grenadiers which are high accuracy but low damage(Yellow characters) and the cannon shooters are are low accuracy but high damage(Red characters). As you'd expect, you will face enemies that are either agile and require you to match that with a high accuracy character or the tank-ish slow but powerful mechs that require a high power character. To make this a true Strategy turn based RPG, you have the ability to hit enemies with the appropiate color(Enemies will have armor consisting of RED, BLUE and YELLOW) which if you hit each enemy with the matching color, you can delay their action and get more turns in with your team, which of course is highly recommended. In addition, each character gets skills that can range from healing to multi hit shots to status effects to high damage random firing etc. It's pretty typical of a game like this, nothing too crazy out of the ordinary but still it's addictive enough where I found myself every other day coming back to this game looking to chew off a chapter or two each session. The game is consisted of battling inside the tank so it's one shared HP with 3 characters that are attackers, 3 characters that are links/assists and the other characters waiting to be called hanging back which you can rotate for various means(Get a healer in, get 2-3 red or blue or yellow characters to try and score delays etc.). The side characters that hang back as assist each bring something unique to help a character(One character gives you small HP regen per normal attack, another increases your speed per normal attack, another increase critical rate etc.) so there's absolutely a purpose towards teaming characters with other ones to try and mix/match one's flaws with one's strengths. A low accuracy character cannon character will benefit from an assist character of someone who specializes in increased accuracy or a weaker grenadier weapon holder will benefit from an assist character of someone who specializes in increased normal damage. Think of this like Final Fantasy X where Wakka comes in for aerial enemies, Auron comes in for the tank enemies, Tidus for the speedy enemies etc where you can rotate in and out people. Of course, you can't use & abuse this like in Final Fantasy X because once you make a move on the 3 main characters and 3 assisters, your stuck for 3 turns with the decision so choose wisely! As you trot forth in your quest to get closer to finding your loved ones, you come across forks in the path on a grid sort of design(There's no open world movement or any thing of that nature in this game). You can take on safe paths and fight minimal enemies and get needed health/special points(Skills require the use of this and the better ones can be pricy so this is appreciated when you land on a SP refill) but stumble into very little if any treasures. Normal routes give you moderate health/special point regain, normal treasure finding and normal abundance of enemies and the dangerous paths give you a rough stretch of enemies that will make you work for victory, low HP/SP regain if at all and high amount of treasures which we will get into the importance of them shortly. It really becomes a battle of nutrition and how risky are you feeling? Tank is banged up and low on SP so are you willing to go the dangerous route or will you back off and play it with the normal route? The game really does a good job with making you think and having you really plan out your route taking and your decision making in battle which is highly appreciated. It makes the rest spots/Intermission points all the more appreciated! In addition to this, there are status effects that can occur against your team such as "Depression" or "Fear" or "Injured" which become massive hurdles that you need to get over to succeed in battle. All of these occur as your tank takes heavy amounts of damage and your at low health or come from enemies using specific status effects to have these plagues occur. Depression has your character not use link attacks(Will get to that shortly) or really work as a tandem with their partner or even use their own skill powers, Fear slashes your accuracy no matter the character by 50% which in a game all about turn utilization and hitting delays on enemies worrisome to say the least, and Injured means a character is close to getting knocked out or essentially taking out of any battle until they get to a rest point/intermission on the map. The game tells you and lets you know what has happened to a character so nothing is in the dark but it really makes you use the 12 character you get by the end really well where there isn't a single unused character or weak link. Everybody serves a purpose on your voyage which is highly appreciated! Each character after taking enough damage or if producing enough damage gets a "Hero mode" which is essentially the berserk mode. One doubles their healing, one has status effects on every attack, one does crucial attacks per attack, one does double damage etc. So useful, so friggin needed when your back is on the ropes! They run out after 6 turns but for those 6 turns, man they roll. Sucks they don't carry over into future chapters so use them or lose them! What is unique to this game is the "Soul Cannon" element. Much like with Fire Emblem, this game has the option that if a character dies, they are forever lost in what is otherwise known as "Perma-Death". Only in Fuga: Melodies of Steel if a character is KO'd, as mentioned before, they are able to get right back in the trenches after resting up at a intermission spots of the chapter. However, there is one option that is given to you where if your at a really tough boss fight or are on the verge of death, your moral compass entity character will tell you that the "Soul Cannon is Ready" and as demonstrated in the tutorial, it's a double edged sword. The good? It is essentially the win button and can wipe out all opposition with a single blast, saving you from imminent death. The bad? The character who boldly sacrifices him or herself is gone forever, used as the lifeforce to utilize such a devastating weapon to save the others. Gone forever as in gone from the game, dead. Thankfully, outside of the tutorial which is mandatory that it gets used to show you the ups and downs of the mechanic, I have not had to use this one despite the game telling me that it's ready to lock & load. I am over 2/3 of the way through and thus far, still holding on strong with all of my cast members and I want to keep it that way if I can! It is necessary for the best ending of the game as you'd imagine. This makes the boss fights pretty rough but still fair & doable. The real good part of Fuga: Melodies of Steel is the content away from battle. The intermission/rest spots are massive where social linking/bonding amongst characters(Think Persona) is paramount towards winning in battle as social links=link attacks where built up comradery can lead to really helpful 1 shot attacks(HP Regain+Moderate Damage or Status Damage+Speed Up). You get 20 AP to use(Ability points) throughout each stop spot and you can do various means. Plant farms for meals that becomes temporary buffs for a couple of fights, cooking that gives you a temp buff of stuff like experience points or speed or attack, mine venturing that has you in simple minigames exploring mines for treasures that help you expand various things inside the mech like beds or the amount you can farm, beds that take up 5 AP but can rest up people stricken with injuries, a scrap fishing game that can yield to more treasures, improvements on your armor/SP core/cannons/grenadiers/machine guns or just chit chatting with allies to get new 1 minute link up lore dialogue amongst 2 people. Heck there's even Laundry Day that bonds 2 characters at no AP cost! You have 20 AP which seems like a lot but they run out pretty fast and given each character at the very start at the intermission asks to do a certain skill(Farming Chickens or Making food or resting) to help improve their mood to use those previously talked about hero mode attacks in the heat of battle. You also get to barter items at the very start of each chapter where you exchange 3 small HP gains for 1 big HP gain or trade items necessary to improve your intermission spots though I wish this was more accessible as you can only do this at the very start of each chapter so if you didn't get the necessary items to level up the cannons or farm, your stuck for the remainder of the chapter barring finding them in ruin exploration or scrap fishing(Some you have to buy from here I believe no matter what). The game even has a mini comic that is given out free of each chapter that is cute! The characters are simple enough but pretty likable altogether. It's a bunch of elementary kids which is pretty hokey that they can patrol around a majestic machine that kills and protects them from the dangers lying ahead but each character is pretty cute & useful in their own means! The game is in French or Japanese dialogue only so I opted for the former as I get enough Japanese dubs in gaming already and it's pretty good, the game isn't heavy with voice dialogue so it isn't a turn off in the least that this isn't in English. The art design is cartoony and it's good for what it is. If you can get past the characters being human like animals you are in for a heck of a time. Admittedly, Fuga 1 can get repetitive as in nature with most of these types of games in the genre but I find myself playing 2 chapters per session just enough to not feel drained of the game. I can't see how someone just beats this game in 2-3 days and not end up hating the game, there's so much micromanaging and fighting the same few groups of enemies that you'd drive yourself to sheer madness playing this game for so long in a single sitting! Yeah, this game doesn't have a surplus of new enemies or strategies and I found the game began to repeat the same couple of boss strategies for the most part but heck if there isn't challenge to be had and again, I think when it comes to this genre of game, there's really no way around repetition so as long as the combat is smooth enough, it's manageable. I am on Chapter 10 of what is I think an 11 or 12 chapter game so I am near the end but man I have had such a good time with the game. It's to the point that it's a matter of when, not if I dive into Fuga 2. Most certainly, before the end of the year to see if it can get a spot on my GOTY list. Fuga: Melodies of Steel is a must play for a Strategy turn based RPG fan IMHO. Don't let the cover or it being an Indy title fool you. It's really friggin' good. Criminally overlooked game. (The end of the chapter boss fight music, so soothing but epic nevertheless. Feels totally anime-ish but I love it. Feels like Gundam Wing. ) Back on this crack, with the sequel(Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2) which came out May of last year but I could not get to since I was caught up in so much with games and needed a little break after 20+ hours of the original. Given Game Pass usually has a 1 year ownership of games that come to it, I feel like May 2024 is when Fuga 2 is taken off the subscription(The 1st one was taken off eventually) and I would hate to be in a position where I am on like 1-2 weeks to play & beat this game so getting the jump on it with nothing out until Stellar Blade which is end of April. Only 1 chapter so far but despite me not playing the 1st game in like 8 months, so much of what made the 1st game has returned. Feeling right at home with everything, ya love to see it. Pretty dark story early on so far which isn't too surprising as the 1st game got really crazy too.

Making an endurance boss fight but no checkpoints is cunt behavior. Just saying. Yeah that final boss of Sonic Superstars sucks. Game was a huge letdown altogether, think I had it as a 7.5/10. Game does too much of something that should be so simplistic. There's a secret final boss that you need to get to with the unlocked character at the very end, didn't do that yet. Game felt like such a slog. Some really nice worlds and some worlds that unless you cheese it with Tails, just becomes such an annoyance which should never be the case for 2D Sonic.

I hate that I have to skip 2-3 cutscenes every time I lose. Takes forever to get to the 2nd part and by then I have no rings. Cheap deaths because the game lags on switch so I can't even move properly. I'm one hit away cuz I watched a YT video. So tedious to reach this point. I just wish I could start from the second form. About to just give up. And I cannot for the life of me time the blue bombs. Sigh.

Normally either go with the first title or the enhanced GOTY version with Pokemon, so I decided to play Violet to change things up. And even more I'm going with grass. In all my playthroughs only ever did one green and I honestly didn't care for it. Whatever Bulbasaur brings I just don't vibe with. We shall see, let's go vegan nekochan.

If this was a where's waldo game of just finding shit on the ground, I'd do it.
Is this an open world ish game? Or am I simply heading in the correct direction. After gym 1 I went south and the enemies are right where I'm at more or less. Is this what they did with BITW? I didn't get far...

There's no level scaling in the game, so there is an intended path although it's not obvious at a first glance and it's easy to do certain things out of order. THe rule is if the wild Pokemon seem OP, it's time to head in the opposite side of the school going east/west.
I'm going to need team updates. Sprig is a quality starter and definitely more in your wheelhouse as speedy offensive option. It's final form has one of the best signature moves in the game.
