We should be getting Brady vs Brees. Super disappointed about not getting that match up.

Will it ever be Kansas City's time? They said that in the mid 90s, in the early 2000s, and now this year. I feel like this team is one of those snakebitten team that just can't get it done. No matter how good their talent is, they find a way to screw it up. Same was said about the McNabb Eagles, just one SB appearance out of it all. Reid is cursed I think. It's like the Knicks of the 90s team should have had a title but they played in the wrong era. What a shame wanted to see him finally win one.

L.A. vs New England...
This Super Bowl will be rough to enjoy. Hopefully New England wins, because fuck Kroenke.

And the Brady/Belichick dynasty comes full circle. As the Pats face the Rams, 17 years after the dynasty began.

It’s so crazy how big that first SB was to me with Patriots upsetting the Rams.
I was devastated the year before to see lthe Titans lose by one yard. First time football made me cry. Then the next season, I had to root for the underdogs because I hated the Rams and here we are again. Fuck the Rams.

As money as Mahomes was in the second half, if only he hadn't followed up missing an easy TD with backpedaling out of FG range in the first half. Along with Ford's offsides, just backbreaking. If only they didn't have one of the worst defenses on the year would have really helped.

Ugghh. Rams get in the Super Bowl by hook or crook and the Pats (yawn) get in the Super Bowl YET AGAIN. Absolutely the worst Super Bowl match up possible.

Along with that phantom roughing, officiating needs some serious addressing. This season was absolutely atrocious with calls, almost replacement ref bad.

Ugghh. Rams get in the Super Bowl by hook or crook and the Pats (yawn) get in the Super Bowl YET AGAIN. Absolutely the worst Super Bowl match up possible. Eh, I wanted to see the Pats knocked out but everyone was saying the same thing this time last year and we ended up getting an all time classic. Along with that phantom roughing, officiating needs some serious addressing. This season was absolutely atrocious with calls, almost replacement ref bad. You can argue that it's soft (an argument that you'll never win mind you) but that was a perfectly correct call as the rule stands. I think the refs actually got all the major calls right in the late game.

The roughing call on Brady was bullshit. It wasn't late, he wasn't hit in the helmet, and no one landed on him. Where's the roughing?

Sucks for Miami and Cincy that they have to wait until February to hire both Flores and Zac Taylor respectively. Mainly because they are behind the eight ball when it comes to assembling a coaching staff. Maybe there is some winking or under the table discussions but still I don't know why coaches can't be hired this upcoming week and get the press conference out of the way and they still can coach this finale. They'd be hired after the 2018 season officially.

I love this match-up. Fuck the haters. Go Rams! And if they don't win, I can still bask in the greatness that is Brady.
Win-fucking-Win.

Chin up @theshow - I know there’s no worse feeling in sports. I feel dead inside. That is all. This is a worse feeling than the Minnesota Miracle, Vernon Davis catch, and Beastmode run combined.

Seriously though, I don't hate the Rams at all, I just really hate how they got in. That and I picked the Saints and Chiefs to be in the SB. I'll still be pulling for them to beat the Pats though. I DO NOT want to see Brady win another Super Bowl.

I’ll be pulling for the Rams too. I have no hate towards them because they benefitted from a terrible call. It’s not their fault; it’s the referees. I’m not petty enough to hold that against the Rams unlike other people I know.

This is where I usually go dark on football for awhile , I wouldn't be able to watch the analysis , the replays , the talking heads talking about the game and that call. The last bad one (Seattle) I waiting until draft season really started to heat up.

On a different note , the Packers being out early this year (and last to an extent) has really made me enjoy the postseason more than I have in forever. It's kind of a nice feeling.

I don’t plan on watching the Super Bowl though as I’m still in fuck the NFL mode LOL.

I watch all NFL games illegally because fuck them, and also cable is outrageously expensive in Canada.
It's not the Super Bowl I was hoping for but hopefully we'll get a good game and the Pats will lose.

I don’t know. I don’t think the Rams belong in the Super Bowl. Sorry, but that call was so bad and it changed the game. Like I said before, the Rams have way too many unlikeable players. Why are they treated differently then the Warriors and Yankees on how they handled their roster? Talib, Suh, Peters, Cooks. They built a super team and should win it, but I’m not rooting for them.
Tom Brady is the best to ever play. Bill Belichick is the greatest coach to ever coach any sport. Look at their roster. He loses Josh Gordon. Gronkowski almost loses them the game and he goes to Gronk on the next play. Julian Edelman is the most underrated player in the NFL. The dude is a warrior. This team has heart and they deserve it. Plus, Brady deserves a 6th ring. He’s a beast.

You run out of ways to describe Brady. The best compliment I could pay him is this - Pats called heads, it was heads, and I thought 'game over'. Absolute certainty he was going to walk down the field and finish the job.

The difference between NFL "super teams" and NBA (or even MLB) is that a) the cap is much stricter and b) they never seem to work.

I named 3. Peters. Talib. Suh.
If you had to name the top 5 worst guys in the NFL in the last 3-5 years, all 3 would be on and definitely 2 of the top 3. They might actually be the top 3 worst people in the NFL.

I may have missed a different post, but the one I quoted listed in the middle of the super team rant (along with Cooks). *shrug* I'll bite on Suh and Peters. Talib isn't quite the same level to me (personally).

...Peters is a pretty irresponsible player at times and does some stupid emotional stuff, but worst person in the NFL? I don’t think he’d even make the list.
Hard to get along with, cocky, and a bit of a temper on the field, but Tyreek Hill tried to kill a pregnant woman (and he did that so long ago he might not even make the top 3 list).

Suh can fuck off forever and is one of the most unlikable players I can remember , especially from an on the field standpoint. Not sure why the rest of them are unlikable though.
I'm pulling for the Rams regardless. I pulled for the Chiefs and they have Tyreek "The Strangler" Hill on their roster.
And as bad as I feel for the Saints , reliving some of the game , talking about it online with a few people (including a Saints fan) and everything ... it still sucks that the PI call cost them the game in the end but they tried their hardest and some of the blame goes on Payton's shoulders as well for terrible clock management and play calling down the stretch there. Still doesn't excuse the referees for their hand in probably the worst call or "non call" in history but they did bail Sean Payton out of a ton of criticism as well.

Absolutely, the big blown call has taken a lot of heat off both Payton and Brees. Their last four drives were punt, punt, field goal, interception. The first down before the non-PI was a regulation slant to Thomas that Brees would complete 99% of the time but he threw it into the ground - a completion there and the game is likely won - but that's barely been acknowledged. People love to obsess over refereeing decision that "decide" games, and this one truly was a shocker, but you can always isolate a number of plays that are similarly as important.
