Teenagers in MAGA caps stare down native American protester during Washington DC rally


A diocese in Kentucky is looking into videos that show young men, possibly from its all-male high school, mocking Native Americans outside the Lincoln Memorial after a rally in Washington.

The group were filmed surrounding Nathan Phillips, and one teenager wearing a Maga hat can be seen standing in front of Phillips and staring into his face while smiling

As you can see in the first video the drummer walked up to the guy.
What else was he to do? Walk away/ask him to not drum in his face?

Hi System, while you are not incorrect in your assesment, yes the major news outlets only show certain aspects of the video, but even if we roll the footage all the way back the young boys are still not behaving very correctly.

This situation unfolded at the tail end of a womens rally. These young boys were up to no good from the start, they were teenagers looking for trouble. I've read that the boys claim there was some black muslim people making rude comments and blame them. Just going to a womens rally wearing MAGA caps and chanting the way they were presents an image of confrontationalism. We may want to say things like, you can wear whatever you want, but if you are genuineinly looking for a fair and reasonable discussion you don't do that while wearing a MAGA cap. We know that it puts people of the other opinion on edge.

The indigenous elder has said that he went and drummed near the young boys in an attempt to defuse the situation, and is of the opinion it worked. If you look at the MAGA hat wearing boys in the background, they are snickering and mocking the people around them. They were there to cause trouble.

even though it obviously deals with women’s issues.

Trump ran as a pro-life candidate. Not far fetched that there would be people with MAGA hats there.
