Anyone ever bought something off of one?

Saw something on Foxtel a bit earlier today, featuring what looks like a pretty decent ladder. I always get a bit suspicious though when something is so good yet not offered in stores. I'd love to hear some stories if they're out there.

Yes. I bought a ShamWow, and a Slap Chop. The ShamWow did the job as good as advertised. But the Slap Chop was total crap. the food kept getting stuck to the blade, and could never get a clean cut in. And The Graty, which came with it, was even worse. It works, but it took too much elbow grease to make it even work. Sometimes I'd get red-faced trying to use it. Where as in the commercial, they made it look like that it took no effort at all.

As for watching infomercials, I always enjoy watching the Time Life Music ones.

My daughter owns every single unicorn pillow pet they've ever made. They're so cute. We're both proud of her collection.

in my Sunday paper there is a little insert with mail-order items. I bought some therapeutic memory foam sandals from the insert. It's like walking on a cloud. I wear them every single day, rain or shine.

I love watching them regardless of what it is. My favorite was the Ronco Rotisserie from the 90s. Stores these days have "as seen on TV" tables, so you can pick them up usually. I haven't tried any myself, but I'm always skeptical of whatever they're peddling.

I now own a big box of knives and a katana due to a late night with a credit card, rum and coke! What the hell am I going to do with a f#cking katana?

I havne't necessarily bought something directly from the ad, but have bought Proactive a few years ago when I was having difficultly with acne. The product did wonders for my face at the time. Since then, I know how to take care of my face properly, and use different products from LUSH to prevent any future breakouts.
