I want a quarterback. We haven't won the division since 2011, have five sub .500 seasons out of the last six - Eli's a legend but we're well past the point of hanging on to the Super Bowl runs, he's been a bottom tier quarterback for too long now. I don't hate that we passed up Darnold to get Barkley because he is clearly a generational talent, but they can't keep waiting around for the "perfect" prospect year after year while the franchise flounders - especially when you are only going to have so many years of Saquon and Odell's prime. I'm sick of our season being irrelevant by Week 5, give me something to believe in again! I want a QB as well, but the only two in this draft that excite me are Haskins and Murray. Haskins is the only one of the two the Giants have any real shot of getting. I don't want to reach for a QB. Honestly my preference would have been to sign Nick Foles for a short term solution and then wait until next year's QB class. Everybody on this forum keeps shitting on Foles, yet the guy has a Super Bowl MVP on his belt, and has led the Eagles to the playoffs on 3 separate occasions. NO ONE wants to give him credit. It's always Chip Kelly, or Doug Peterson, or the pieces he has around him. Well he won a Super Bowl without Chip Kelly, Peterson couldn't do a damn thing with Wentz (a superior physical talent) as his QB and NO QUARTERBACK wins without the right pieces around him. Some other team is going to take a chance on Foles, and he is going to make a lot of people look stupid.

You think Jacksonville can bounce back in that division?

That team is Jacksonville. ^ You think Jacksonville can bounce back in that division? It's a MUCH tougher division now, but with the defense, and Fourette in place, all they really need is a solid dependable QB to hold things together and make the plays when they need it. Foles I think can be that guy. Just don't ask him to do too much, he's not a guy that can put your team on his back. Coaches have to do their part and put him in a position to succeed. Peterson did that very well with him and it KILLS me that he hasn't been able to do the same for Wentz. I swear big time QB talent makes 90% of your NFL coaches lazy as fuck.

I agree on the second part, but I also really believe that the Minneapolis Miracle is the only reason the Eagles are SB Champs. I’m still confident that the Saints would’ve found a way to beat them. I also think the Saints would’ve won it this year too had they not got screwed over again. The Saints should be back to back Super Bowl champions and the Eagles should be back to back playoff disappointments.
I don’t know what to think of Fournette anymore. I loved him out of college, but last season was such a bad sophomore slump filled with his kryptonite (injuries) and poor attitude that I don’t know if he lasts after this season with an angry Coughlin. The Jaguars have a lot of personalities to manage that I can see an implosion this season and Foles missing Philadelphia’s backup gig.

No, but I’ve seen enough football to know it’s an impossible argument to make that one had a “less lazy” play caller than the other. Wentz stats were in many ways better in 2018 than in 2017, and that’s while recovering from a torn ACL and while having a fracture in his back for two weeks. His completion rate was up 10%, more ypa, considerably more ypg. That doesn’t just happen by himself...

Peterson called different types of formations and sets to help get the wide receivers open, different blocking schemes to help protect Foles, called plays tailored to Foles' strengths etc...etc.... He didn't do nearly the same for Wentz, who often had to throw guys open, had to rely on Zach Ertz over and over again instead of spreading the ball around, and often had to throw threw far tighter windows due to how predictable the Eagles offense was.

1. New York Giants (via Cardinals) - Kyler Murray , QB , Oklahoma - I think there has to be a bigger picture behind the OBJ trade and it has to be because the Giants want to move up to get their quarterback of the future. Murray is the hottest name right now and I think if the Giants do trade up this far it has to be for Murray. Could be wrong and it could be Haskins but I just have a gut feeling.
2. San Francisco 49ers - Nick Bosa , Edge , Ohio State - Bosa is probably the best player in the draft , and the 49ers still need more edge help even after trading for Ford. Bosa is the most obvious pick here IMO.
3. New York Jets - Josh Allen , Edge , Kentucky - The Jets need edge rushers and Allen is my favorite player in the draft - makes sense he goes here. Though I could see it being Williams as well.
4. Oakland Raiders - Quinnen Williams , DT , Alabama - The Raiders traded away the only real blue chip player they had last year and have to try and get another in this draft. Williams is one of the few remaining blue chip prospects IMO.
5. Miami Dolphins (via Buccaneers) - Duane Haskins , QB , Ohio State - The Dolphins have the single worst quarterback situation in the league right now and are going to need to make a move in this draft.
6. Arizona Cardinals (via Giants) - Montez Sweat , Edge , Mississippi State - I think the Cards would have had to take Bosa at #1 if they didn't trade , instead they pick up extra picks and trade back into getting Sweat whos stock has skyrocketed after a record breaking combine.
7. Jacksonville Jaguars - Noah Fant , TE , Iowa - I think this should be Hockensen as the best TE in the draft , and his outstanding blocking would fit with the Jaguars run first attack as well. Either way .. Foles is going to need targets and Fant had the most standout numbers at the combine and some think broke away from the TE pick.
8. Detroit Lions - Rashan Gary , DL , Michigan - The Lions need to continue building that defense for Patricia - they added Flowers in free agency but Gary is a hometown product who would pair greatly with him on the defense.
9. Washington Redskins (via Buffalo) - Drew Lock , QB , Missouri - Washington is up there with the Dolphins as far as QB situations go and need to make a movie. I could see them trying to get ahead of the Broncos considering the buzz surrounding Elway and Lock in Denver.
10. Denver Broncos - Devin White , LB , LSU - White is another one of my favorite players in the draft and now that Lock is a non entity - I could really see Fangio banging the table for a defensive player with his first ever pick as head coach.
11. Cincinnati Bengals - Ed Oliver , DT , Houston - Geno Atkins has been an incredible Bengal but isn't getting any younger. Oliver is much in the same mold as Atkins and would be a perfect understudy/running buddy and future replacement.
12. Green Bay Packers - TJ Hockenson , TE , Iowa - I'd be happiest with Devin White falling here (or the Packers moving up a few spots) but if it falls like this than I think Hockenson is a great choice. Fills a need at tight end while also helping with our blocking. Also don't be surprised is Williams is this pick either.
13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (via Dolphins) - Clelin Ferrell , Edge , Clemson - If they stay at 5 I think Sweat is going to be their pick , in this scenario though they are more than happy that Ferrell falled and allowed them to still fill a need at edge rusher.
14. Atlanta Falcons - Christian Wilkins , DT , Clemson - Back to back Tigers off the board and the Atlanta prepares for a future without (former Tiger) Grady Jarrett if they can't get a long term deal done. Either way Wilkins is a need for Atlanta.
15. Buffalo Bills (via Redskins) - DK Metcalf , WR , Ole Miss - I think if the Bills stayed at #9 they would have wanted Metcalf - who is a gamechanging type athlete. This allows them to trade back , get some more picks and take a swing at the boom or bust prospect.
16. Carolina Panthers - Jonah Williams , OL , Alabama - The Panthers bread and butter is the trenches and if they are going to return to form they need to rebuild there. Williams is the best OL prospect in the draft and can play up and down the line.
17. Arizona Cardinals (via Giants) - Juwaan Taylor , OT , Florida - With their extra pick from the Giants , the Cardinals start to try and protect Rosen - they need offensive line help badly.
18. Minnesota Vikings - Jeffrey Simmons , DT , Miss. State - The Vikings lost Richardson to the Browns and Zimmer is going to want to keep his defense at peak levels - though I could see this being OL as well.
19. Tennessee Titans - Garrett Bradbury , OL , NC State - The Titans want to run the ball , and also need to protect injury prone Mariota - Bradbury makes sense as someone who can fill any spot in the middle of the line.
20. Pittsburgh Steelers - Greedy Williams , CB , LSU - This seems to be the consensus in a ton of mocks. And why not ... it makes sense.
21. Seattle Seahawks - Cody Ford , OT , Oklahoma - The Seahawks always need OL help and Ford is a road grader at RT that will help protect Wilson and allow them to continue to do what they love and run the ball a ton.
22. Baltimore Ravens - Devin Bush , LB , Michigan - They lost Mosley to the Jets in Free Agency and this is great value for Bush. I don't see the Ravens passing on him if he falls.
23. Houston Texans - Andre Dillard , OT , Washington State - The Texans need to address their offensive line , Dillard is has the highest upside of any tackle in the draft IMO.
24. Oakland Raiders - Deandre Baker , CB , Georgia - The Raiders continue to build on the defensive side of the ball after adding Brown in a trade. Baker is my favorite cornerback in the draft.
25. Philadelphia Eagles - Josh Jacobs , RB , Alabama - Another pick that's been in a ton of mocks , because it makes the most sense.
26. Indianapolis Colts - AJ Brown , WR , Ole Miss - Marquise Brown might be the better player but the Colts already have an undersized burner. They need to help Luck out and a lot of people think Brown is a better player than Metcalf.
27. Oakland Raiders - Brian Burns , Edge , Florida State - The trifecta of 1st round defenders is complete in Burns , an incredible athlete who could come in and provide a ton of pressure on passing downs.
28. Los Angeles Chargers - Byron Murphy , CB , Washington - The Chargers have a hell of a roster and have the oppurtunity to go BPA here.
29. Kansas City Chiefs - Jachai Polite , Edge , Florida - The Chiefs edge rushers have been shipped out of town. This is great value of Polite who would fit in well in KC.
30. Green Bay Packers - Deionte Thompson , S , Alabama - The Packers probably wanted to go OL or WR with this pick , but Thompson is too good of value to pass up and would make a great running partner for the recently acquired Amos.
31. Los Angeles Rams - Dexter Lawrence , DT , Clemson - The lost Suh in Free Agency and Lawrence isn't the same type of player but would make for a great block eater alongside Donald.
32. New England Patriots - Marquise Brown , WR , Oklahoma - The rich get richer as possibly the best WR in the draft falls to the Patriots - who could use his speed on the outside to stretch the defense.

I don't think he is , but it was a close enough race between he and Hockensen that Fants really good combine might have catapulted him that high. I think Hock is the better player but I could easily see people becoming more enamored with Fants upside.
I've seen him mocked as high as #7 to the Jags , I've seen him mocked to the Packers at #12 and threw up in my mouth a bit. I just think the Jaguars NEED to grab a playmaker and it might be Fant , or Metcalf if they go for pure upside.

I would go Metcalf.
Especially if Dede lives up to his expectations and Keelan continues to rise. They could have some serious weapons at receiver.

Meh Foles loves using the tight end and this would give him a good receiving TE like Ertz in Philly in the best case scenario.

1. Arizona Cardinals - Kyler Murray , QB , Oklahoma - Kingsbury is going to want his guy in there and Murray fits his offense , Rosen is obviously out the door: my prediction is the Redskins.
2. San Francisco 49ers - Nick Bosa , Edge , Ohio St. - Bosa might be the best player in the draft and is going to be a stud for years to come , his injury history concerns me but the 49ers I have to believe are going to take the potenial DPOY candidate.
3. Atlanta Falcons (trade w/Jets) - Quinnen Williams , DT , Alabama - The Falcons have known to be aggressive for non quarterbacks in the past and I believe are a candidate to make a trade again , targeting Williams who is right there with Bosa in the arguments as Best in the Draft and the biggest need for Atlanta.
4. Oakland Raiders - Josh Allen , Edge , Kentucky - Khalil Mack is out , the Raiders need to replace his presence on the edge along with his versatility. Allen is one of my favorite prospects in the draft.
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Ed Oliver , DL , Houston - Oliver has been skyrocketing up the boards through the draft process and I think Tampa might take a flier on the supremely talented , but raw prospect.
6. New York Giants - Rashuan Gary , DL , Michigan - There are a ton of reports the Giants aren't looking for a QB at #6 and I tend to believe them right now. Gary is another physical freak with upside out of this world.
7. Jacksonville Jaguars - TJ Hockenson , TE , Iowa - I had Fant here last time but thankfully his stock has begun to fall , I could see the Jags taking the best tackle available too but Hockenson helps them so much in the passing and running game that I think he's the perfect fit.
8. Cincinnati Bengals (trade w/Lions) - Duane Haskins , QB , Ohio State - The Bengals want to get over the hump with their new offensive oriented head coach , and Dalton is the plateau quarterback.
9. Buffalo Bills - Jonah Williams , OL , Alabama - Not the sexy pick but one that will surely help their young quarterback. Williams is as versatile as they come on the offensive line and the Bills need help all the way across their line.
10. Denver Broncos - Drew Lock , QB , Missouri - I don't know if Elway takes another stab at quarterback or not , probably not but it makes sense to target Lock here and let him sit behind Flacco for a year.
11. Detroit Lions - Montez Sweat , Edge , Mississippi State - The Lions brought in Flowers in free agency but Patricia is going to want to continue to add talent to his defense and Sweat is a pure pass rusher.
12. Green Bay Packers - Devin White , LB , LSU - Another one of my favorite players in the draft that I'd be elated to see fall to the Packers. He and Martinez would be an incredible duo and bring more leadership and stability to the front seven.
13. Miami Dolphins - Christian Wilkins , DT , Clemson - The Dolphins defense is weak up the middle and Flores is going to want to build on that before drafting his QB of the future next year.
14. New York Jets (trade with Atlanta) - Garrett Bradbury , OL , NC State - The Jet's fans would want a flashier pick but they need to help Darnold and Bell and their offensive line needs help. Bradbury would be a plug and play center for the next decade.
15 - Arizona Cardinals (via Redskins) - DK Metcalf , WR , Ole Miss - I think this is the trade spot for Rosen. Now I don't think it'll be for the 15th pick straight up and see Zona sending something else back like the 33rd pick in the 2nd round. This could be offensive tackle help or a playmaker for Murray to team up with.
16. Carolina Panthers - Clelin Ferrell , DE , Clemson - The Panthers need to replenish their pass rush and Ferrell is a great leader who has a combination of speed and power. Not the athlete Peppers was but a similar player.
17. New York Giants - Daniel Jones , QB , Duke - This has been rumored for a few weeks now and the Giants apparently really like Jones and would be happy to take him if he fell to #17.
18. Minnesota Vikings - Juwaan Taylor , OT , Florida - The Vikings offensive line fell apart again last year and if they want Cousins to ever succeed they have to protect him. Taylor might be the most well rounded tackle in the draft.
19. Tennessee Titans - Brian Burns , Edge , Florida State - The Titans need to add more edge rushers and get after the Andrew Lucks of the AFC South - Burns is purely that and should at least help as a specialist his first season.
20. Pittsburgh Steelers - Greedy Williams , CB , LSU - I'm sticking with this pick , it just makes too much sense to me. I could also see it being Devin Bush.
21. Seattle Seahawks - Cody Ford , OT , Oklahoma - Again this pick makes sense as Ford is a road grader and good pass protector. You got to protect the new highest paid player in NFL history.
22. Baltimore Ravens - Devin Bush , LB , Michigan - Three picks I'm keeping the same. I can't see Baltimore passing on Bush if he ends up falling this far.
23. Houston Texans - Andre Dillard , OT , Washington St. - Make that four picks in the row I'm keeping the same , Dillard is a premier pass blocker and Houston can't protect for shit.
24. Oakland Raiders - Parris Campbell , WR , Ohio State - Not a pick I'd love but I could see Gruden going back to the Raider way and reaching for a speedster with length and size.
25. Philadelphia Eagles - Deandre Baker , CB , Georgia - The Eagles need help anywhere in their secondary and Baker for MY money is the best corner in the draft.
26. Indianapolis Colts - Dexter Lawrence , DT , Clemson - The Colts get incredible value here with Wilkins , who could come in and help shore up the middle of their defense and allow their stud LB even more space to reak havoc.
27. Oakland Raiders - Rock Ya-Sin , CB , Temple - One of the coolest names in the draft and one of my favorite players as well , his highlight tapes are a ton of fun as he can cover and tackle with the best of them.
28. Los Angeles Chargers - Noah Fant , TE , Iowa - Gates can't keep coming back to help Rivers and there's no telling how fast or if Henry will be back to normal. Fant is the most physically gifted TE in the draft and would provide Rivers with more mismatches to exploit.
29. Kansas City Chiefs - Marquise Brown , WR , Oklahoma - The world expects the Chiefs to take pass rusher , but with Hills future being uncertain - they need to make sure they replace his speed and ability in space for this offense to continue to be dominant. Brown might be every bit the space player Hill is.
30. Green Bay Packers - Dalton Risner , OT , Kansas State - A pick that is necessary for the Packers. Risner is one of the best pass blockers in college and can play at RT or either guard spot - and Green Bay values versatility more than anything on their offensive line.
31. Los Angeles Rams - Jeffrey Simmons , DT , Mississippi St. - They need to replace Suh next to Donald and Simmons is a very talented player who falls a bit due to character concerns. The Rams have proven they aren't afraid to take a chance on talented difference makers.
32. New England Patriots - Jaylon Ferguson , Edge , LA Tech - The Patriots need to replace Trey Flowers on the edge and Ferguson is that type of player and leader.

I was curious how you’d mock Green Bay’s first round picks. Almost all of the mock I’ve seen have the Packers drafting a WR and/or TE with their picks. What is your take on that?
Devin White is my favorite player in the draft. I think whoever takes him will have a franchise defender on their team for years to come.

That's a tough one , I don't know what I think the Packers will do , but I know what I'd like to see. At pick 12: 1a. Devin White - I just love him as a player , this might be a pipe dream because he is projected as high as #5 to Tampa Bay but if the quarterbacks start going and a few offensive linemen go he could fall. I want this type of difference maker , leader and swag on this defense. 1b. TJ Hockenson - Same as White , I love him as a player and think he's going to have a long great career in the NFL. Like White we need a little luck on our side for him to fall to us but stranger things have happened. I narrowly put White ahead of him but I wouldn't be mad at either. 3. Jonah Williams - I like his versatility and experience and think he could make an immediate impact with the Packers. 4. Devin Bush - See everything about White , only a little less so - plus he has a much better chance of making it to us. 5. Cody Ford - The perfect RT for this offense , great compliment to Bahk on the left side. I just don't see the value at offensive skill players being there outside of Hockenson. If White and Hockenson were off the board I'd be cool with trading out of the spot - or if we wanted to move up a few spots to secure either one I'd be fine with that too. The only other top player I'd want is Josh Allen but that will cost too much. At pick 30: 1. Marquise Brown - I'm not in the camp the Packers NEED to add a receiver or pass catcher in the first round but I think Brown could be special and the type of player this offense has never real had. His lis franc injury leaves his positioning in the draft way up in the air. 2. Jonathan Abram - I'm back and forth on the safeties in this draft , Abram brings leadership and a toughness though and would be a great compliment to Amos. Josh Johnson has potential but can't stay on the field and still makes too many mental errors. 3. Dalton Risner - I had him in this mock but really it could be him or Abrams. I went with Risner because he is more of a need and would also be plug and play IMO. 4. Nasir Adderly - I just love him as a player and he has obvious connections to the Packers history. I think he could be a Micah Hyde type for us and solidify the secondary. Overall I'm not in love with the idea we are just taking playmakers or skill players. The Packers need football players in a bunch of areas and guys who can make a different right away - sort of like what happened with the Colts last year. Brown is my one exception because his speed and ability in open space can transform an entire offense. Also I think the second round is where the best value at receiver is and the Packers should just wait and nap one there - also this is a pretty deep tight end class so unless it's Hockensen they might as well grab a developmental guy later. Also if the Oliver rising up the boards is smoke and he's there at 12 I could see the Packers taking him - that'd be fine ONLY if White and Hockenson are off the board. 3 Fuck it - an attempt at what I'd like to see most from the Packers in the draft. 1(12) - Devin White , LB , LSU 1(30) - Dalton Risner , OT , KSU 2(44) - Deebo Samuel , WR , SC 3(75) - Jace Sternberger , TE , Texas A&M 4(114) - Rodney Anderson , RB , Oklahoma 4(118) - Khalen Saunders , NT , W. Illinois 5(150) - Austin Bryant , Edge , Clemson 6(185) - Lukas Denis , S , BC 6(194) - Jordan Ta'amu , QB , Mississippi 7(226) - O'Shea Dugas , OT , LA Tech That seems like a decent enough draft for me. We get a stud , fill needs and wait to grab the playmakers until the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Later with Anderson you get a talented player who falls because of injuries but is worth a shot. Saunders is a high upside raw prospect. Austin Bryant is a true sleeper and I have no idea how late he falls. Denis is a special teamer and depth. Ta'amu is the ideal developmental quarterback and Dugas is just someone who you hope to mold for depth on the line and can probably kick inside.

I'm going to make a random prediction here and say that the Cardinals will not be selecting Murray at #1. Either they trade out of the spot (probably with the Raiders) or they take Bosa or Williams.

I don't know , I was never a believer either but the more and more it gets brought up by just about everyone and with the way the Cardinals are playing it - I have to believe Murray is going to end up being the pick.

I like Rosen , I liked him last year. I think people soured on him far too fast because he wasn't Baker Mayfield or something but he was playing with maybe the worst offensive talent in the entire NFL last season - and a terrible line too. The kid never stood a chance. I still think he's a better prospect than Lock or Daniel Jones. Maybe even Haskins - it's close.
Put him on a team and give him something to work with and a coach who wants a talented pocket passer and you have something IMO.

He’s going to need to change his attitude, though. He might be dangerous for opponents if he lets all this Murray talk light him up. That’s the difference between Baker and him right now. Baker is getting away with his attitude because of how he played. Josh Rosen and his “holier then thou” attitude is going to get shitted on because he ain’t done shit yet.

I'd rather have a quarterback with a cockiness and confidence about his skills than someone who is broken mentally.

If what I read is true , I do not like that deal for the Chiefs in the Frank Clark trade.

The Chiefs are going for the championship this season. Honey Badger, Clark. They have to be the favorites to win the AFC this year.
The Chiefs gave up a high first round pick this season, a 2nd next season and got a 3rd round pick back. Not a bad deal for KC.

I’d like it a lot more if we hadn’t already been fleeced for Dee Ford.
And Kid they traded 3rd rounders, Chiefs didn’t pick up new one, just moved up a little.

And there’s the matter of paying him right away. Probably 15 million a year.

Oh my bad. Misread it.
They exchanged 3rd round picks which is technically an earlier 3rd round pick.
I think KC is a defense away from a championship so I can’t fault their moves this season. I like them.

In other, maybe not so important news, Robbie Gould wants out of San Francisco and wants to be closer to his family in Chicago.
Apparently he feels disrespected by SF for going after Gostkowski and for taking so long on contract talks. Gould is one of the best kickers in the NFL and a reunion in Chicago would be great.

Interesting move for the Chiefs to trade for a player with a domestic violence history.

Interesting move for the Chiefs to trade for a player with a domestic violence history. I was going to bring that up too. And he has some questionable tweets since coming to the NFL.
