Boo! I was really looking forward to an all encompassing NWA/WCW Clash/PPV countdown. My Top 9 would have been killer. Killer, I tell you! Oh well.

I was thinking about sitting out the worst gimmick countdown half as a whiny protest and half because I LIKE a lot of "bad" gimmicks. But nah. All it took was one 10 minute car ride from work to home to come up with a perfectly acceptable list. So I'm in. There's a chance my man Goldust makes it twice.

I'm not really feeling Terrible Gimmicks and haven't thought about it since that one car ride. I may or may not bother to get a list in.

Factions is much more intriguing. I guess I have to include DX & NWO since this is Greatest and not Favorite. The only question is do I go with my head and put them in the Top 4 or go with my heart and give them a backhanded compliment by throwing them in at #14 & #15? Decisions decisions.....

Just sent my Faction list to UT. I went with head over heart. Meaning I tried to be objective and fair and give equal representation to all (semi) major promotions and eras. So it's terribly boring, I'm going to regret it in 5 minutes, and half my writeups will be "I didn't like them but they were popular, created stars, and made a lot of money. So I had them at #x on my list." Then I'll write 5000 word odes to the Dangerous Alliance and Camp Cornette when they show up way too low on the overall list because of me and my stupid "fairness." 

Fairness means I had to put the f'n Bullet Club over Camp Cornette and Crap & Crap Jr. over the Dangerous Alliance. Fairness sucks.

Also I didn't vote for the Corporation, Ministry, or Corporate Ministry. So you guys will have to get that Corporation Ministry constellation on the list. They all kind of sucked anyway. I have waaaaaay more regret about leaving the Dungeon of Doom off. Sure, they sucked too, but at least they sucked in a (mostly) fun manner.

Back to Bad Gimmicks I go.....

Looking at all these other websites for faction ideas is bringing my blood to a boil. Every fucking one has DX ahead of the nWo. It will be hard for me totally put DX down in a fit of anger as there are some pretty trash factions out there.

That’s how I felt when looking for Terrible Gimmick help a few hours ago. This one Bleacher Report Top 40 was especially bad with (I think) their 40-33 featuring something like 5 of the greatest gimmicks of all time. I just couldn’t take anymore.

Fwiw I held my nose and put both NWO & DX very high on my list with NWO above DX because Crap > Crap Jr.

I couldn't resist with my gimmicks list, if you look closely it's blatantly biased.

The top of my lists is always my heart. With the bottom with my head just because I can’t be a complete mark.

Done. That was quick. I tried finding the Cream of the Crap.....Gimmicks with absolutely no redeeming qualities.....

Duke The Dumpster? Sucked. But carried a garbage can to the ring that lead to the first trash can shots in WWF history. That's a redeeming quality.
TL Hopper? Sucked even more. But carried a plunger. That's a....thing that could have theoretically been used.
"Das Wunderkid" Alex Wright? Sucked. But theoretically appealed to (tasteless) female fans.
The Renegade? Sucked. But I thought he might have actually been The Warrior for about 5 minutes. That's redeeming enough.
The Goon? Sucked. But had cool boots. That's a redeeming quality.

You get the point.

No, just WWF in general. I just know this could turn into a lolWCW fest.

Faction list is done, I think I got all the essentials in there. I had a massive territory/WWF faction almost slip under the radar that bumped the Million Dollar Corporation.

I have 3 that are from mid 90's WWF. TL Hopper, The Goon, Duke Droese, Abe Schwartz etc. all had occupations you could see being characters in wrestling.  3 Attitude Era, 3 New Gen, 3 Current era and 1 classic era was my breakdown.

Literally one of the greatest stables of all time. I’m not even kidding. They’re probably in my top 5 easily.

DX and nWo will be high on my list but I’m putting my favourite at #1 and it isn’t either of them. Still a good stable though.

Anyway I love this topic. Going to work on my list tomorrow I think.

Sent in my stables list. 15 wasn't enough.

I started out with a mix of favourites and what I felt were legendary stables that deserved to be on my list. Then I kept reading back on stables and history and kept adding more and more of my favourite stables. I eventually just started cutting out legendary stables because, as legendary as they are, I wasn't around to enjoy them and couldn't really justify putting them on a list with stables I actually watched and enjoyed.

My top 4 were a lock the whole time but the rest changed repeatedly throughout the day until I got to the point that I just had to send my list in or I was never going to stop thinking about it. Overall I'm happy with it but there are tons of omissions I would've liked to add. I could have sent in a top 25 easily.
