Two games seems like a (surprisingly) appropriate suspension for Trevathan. It was a terrible hit but he's got a clean record, this being his first ever unnecessary roughness penalty in six seasons. My major problems with the incident are that they should be able to eject players based on replay (the refs probably should have done it on their own accord) and having not been ejected, I look poorly upon John Fox for not pulling him out of the game himself.

As for Kid's questions, I'm saying yes Trubisky should start (the only time I would argue against a clearly more talented rookie QB starting is when you have o-line problems which isn't an issue in Chicago), no there's no point firing Marvin Lewis at this stage, yes that would be a major statement win by Washington who look improved on defense and still haven't reached their offensive ceiling, and no the Bills are not a playoff team.

Just saw the Trevathan hit on youtube and I have to agree with the consensus.   Definitely a dirty hit with the crown of his helmet.

I don't think it was late at all.   If you're fighting for extra yards, you're going to get popped more times, that's just the way it works.

He was being held , seven yards short of the distance to gain and was down. He was pretty much down.

This game is at half time and it's been brutally boring. Poor London. Cutler threw an interception in the end zone and has been sacked twice on 3rd downs. Once putting them out of FG range. Drew Brees is 13/21 and isn't having a great day either. Lutz missed a FG, but hits one right before the half to put the Saints up 3-0 at halftime.

Peterson played himself. He thought he was worth much more than he was, and he signed with a team that does not fit his playing style at all. He's not much of a pass catcher or 3rd down threat, he's a pure workhorse runner that needs at least 20-25 carries a game to make an impact. That's NEVER been New Orleans style under Sean Payton

This is definitely scary for the Dolphins. They were pretty much shut out by the Jets last week and only scored on the final play of the game. They're in danger of being shut out again as Ajayi has struggled to get anything going playing hurt. After the Saints D looked awful in the first two weeks, the next two have made them look like studs. Let's see if Jay Cutler can get anything going in these final dozen minutes.

It's not out of nowhere , there were signs showing the past two seasons which is why no team was willing to sign him - besides the head scratching moves by the Saints. Peterson is a fucking bum , not even the Vikings would take him back at a discount. Peterson would do no better behind that line in New York than Perkins , in fact he might even do worse. I was probably generous at the 2.3 mark and the stats and facts back that up. 

Good to see the Jets win meant little given how bad the Fish look. They look awful.

That back doesn't exist in the NFL anymore , which is partly why he is a bum and no one really wants him. You can't put him in the game because you are pretty much telling the defense you are running the ball , which allows them to just blitz and pressure the gaps , stunting the run game. You can't audible into an effective pass play against said blitz because Petson is shit and picking up blitzers and isn't a threat as an outlet receiver out of the backfield. Peterson makes your offense one dimensional and renders it completely ineffective and there really isn't a team in the NFL , in 2017 that is going to run I-formation 25 times a game. 

Using Peterson would mean less snaps for Kamara which would be a bad mistake. Kid is pretty good
