I've always thought the criticism of him was undeserved; he's a sore loser, name me an athlete who isn't? He wears bad clothes, who cares? But this was a blatant expose of his character and beliefs, and I'm glad he's been (basically) universally condemned, and perhaps that shows that we are getting somewhere.

The real vitriol should be pointed at the media for not reporting the whole story. He answered the reporter's question and didn't dismiss it, move on and get over it.

It’s a story that he dismissed a female reporter, whether you’re interested in it or not.

Was it the best way to start off the exchange? No, but at the end of the day he still let her do her job. Media outlets make it sound like he "next questioned" her.
