Well I'll tell ya, you'll be shit out of luck if you only have rural high-speed, like I do. I hate the idea of stream-only gaming. I have unlimited NBN at my place, but a lot of people in Aus still stuck on ADSL 1 & 2 or have data caps so they’d be in the same boat as you.

This reminds me of the SEGA Dreamcast and how poorly thought out the console was from a global perspective. In Japan, absolutely the infrustracture was there for an online machine, but for Australia, you couldn't even go online with the console for the first few months of it's release and the majority of the games were PS1/N64 ports. Similar situation here where it's going to be another 5-10 years before parts of the world (including mine) has powerful enough internet to stream games that are worth playing.
Like the Dreamcast, it's the way of the future but you'd think Google would have found another way to gain consumers trust and market share than this streaming app. Sony for instance started off as a developer and spent years trying to get companies into CD-based gaming until they realised how asinine and out of touch the competition was and struck.
