Spiderman Homecoming isn't near my favorite movies from the MCU , but Vulture IS one of the better villains. He didn't make my list because I had a handful of side characters on there but Keaton is so brilliant in this movie and IMO largely carries it in spots. Any lesser actor there and I don't know that the movie is nearly as good as it ended up being - but Keaton is an exceptional actor.

I only did villains for simplicity and not being a fan of the split. I think I may have had him @ #1 just for points. Without him could easily see HC being more of a flop. That said it's hard to know if spidey stuff even counts since it's all being "loaned" from Sony.

Really? Hard to know if it counts?
He's in his own MCU Movie , Civil War and Infinity War. Pretty sure it's common sense that all the recent Spiderman stuff counts and suggesting otherwise is just being a pain in the ass for the sake of it.

I was just rambling on the off-chance Sony didn't learn from their mistakes due to Spiderverses' success and could they try again since Venom didn't flop... would they take him back since it seems his stuff is only on "loan"? Then again with the Fox deal, Disney pretty much owns every Marvel property minus Namor. And nobody cares about that guy, especially after Aquaman made a billion.

Forgot all about Vulture. He friggin MADE Spiderman Homecoming. It helped remind me how great Keaton is , I wish we could do a top ten on him but he has a weird IMDB with a lot of time off here and there. Tough to get to ten for a handful of people I presume. I could probably get to 7 or 8 off the top of my head and then would need to do some research.

Forgot all about Vulture. He friggin MADE Spiderman Homecoming. His heel turn moment in the car at prom was possibly the greatest single villain moment in the MCU, IMO.

I was going to bring that up in my original post - just a master class of acting there too. Best scene of the entire movie. The moment Keaton has the realization...

For me it was Thanos bringing Vision back to life just so he could rip his brain out in front of his girlfriend before unceremoniously throwing his body on the ground. That moment is top 5 though. Easily. Maybe top 3.

Plus who gives a fuck about Vision. You got a kid in a car with a maniac who is casually just holding a gun out , in front of a school to make his point. It's incredible Peter didn't piss his pants on prom night.

I didn't vote for him because I got my list in early when I thought we were just doing secondary characters and so didn't really feature villains - but Vulture is definitely in the upper echelon of MCU villains, particularly because of the acting of Keaton. It may be the best acting in all of the MCU films - he's just totally menacing and believable. It's interesting actually that I think he's not hugely effective when he's all suited up and fighting - but his quiet moments are so powerful.

I like Scarlett Witch. I also think she’d be better away from Vision. My kids asked me the other day which MCU hero I liked the least and the only answer I could come up with was Vision. I don’t even hate him , just defines apathy for me.

I also completely forgot about Vulture. Keaton is awesome, and he nailed it. Forgot all about Vulture. He friggin MADE Spiderman Homecoming. His heel turn moment in the car at prom was possibly the greatest single villain moment in the MCU, IMO. It's up there for sure. That scene is one of the most tense I've ever witnessed.

I meant to get a list in for this, but unfortunately never got around to it, sorry UT. As for The Vulture, he's def one of the more memorable Marvel Cinematic Universe villains. He's not a Thanos, Loki, or Red Skull, but the character is def up there.

I find Killmonger to be massively overrated , not so much at #9 in this countdown but I'm surprised he wasn't higher because the way he's talked about in the mainstream is as one of , if not the best Marvel villain of all time. I don't think he's bad , I think he checks all the villain boxes including being right about his justification but completely insane about the way he goes about avenging that.
Then again I don't know what I think of Michael B. Jordan - he's always put me off in movies not named Creed so that could be a big part of it as well.

He's really the first major villain in the MCU that was like that. A Magneto style villain that is essentially correct in his central point, but is WAY too extreme on how he addresses it. I enjoyed Jordan's performance, but I do concede that in some parts he was trying too hard, almost like he was trying to make everyone forgot about his part in that AWFUL Fantastic Four movie.

He just made my list @ #10. While not a total carryjob like say Vulture, cannot deny a BIG part of what made Panther a good movie was his performance. Sadly Marvel loves killing off villains, but I understand. Unlike a comic or a tv series you're not likely to revisit them with rare exceptions.

He didn't make my list, and I'm kinda with UT yet again on understanding why people liked him, thinking he'd rank higher because of how people overrate him, and also not really liking Michael Jordan outside of The Wire. Maybe a controversial take, but Klausse (or however you spell it) was the creepier villain between the two. If Korg and Luis don't make this list, I'll be Killmonger pissed.

Meh I think you could say that about a handful of villains. It's not always what they want , but how they try to achieve it or the lives they are willing to destroy to achieve it. Like I said though I don't think Killmonger is a bad villain but I do think a better acting performance would have went a long ways. I'd put Vulture over him 10/10 times simply because Keaton makes you feel that performance.

Good villain, but as people have said, way overrated by the masses. He wasn't a standout of Black Panther in my opinion, he was just one of many good parts of a good film.

I guess I'm part of the masses that overrate Killmonger, I had him at 2. He had a strong backstory, motivation and I thought MBJ put in a solid performance.
Vulture came in at 7 for all the reasons stated by others, that scene that was posted just made that film.

Again, I didn't really include villains, but Killmonger would have made it if I had. I think he was awesome because of his motivation. It worked so well because you could see him almost convince Black Panther that he was right in the final battle, but he was just too unhinged and went too far. I also think he's a great actor.
