Julian Assange has been arrested by British police and was carried from the Ecuadorean embassy after his South American hosts abruptly revoked his seven-year asylum, paving the way for his extradition to the United States. The US alleged the Australian-born founder of WikiLeaks engaged in a 2010 conspiracy with Chelsea Manning, who served seven years in military prison for leaking classified data, and charged him with conspiracy to commit computer intrusion with a maximum penalty of five years' prison. "In March 2010, Assange engaged in a conspiracy with Chelsea Manning, a former intelligence analyst in the US Army, to assist Manning in cracking a password stored on US Department of Defence computers connected to the Secret Internet Protocol Network (SIPRNet), a US government network used for classified documents and communications," the US statement read. An agitated, frail-looking Assange with white hair and a white beard was carried head first out of the embassy shortly after 9:00am (local time) by at least seven men to a waiting police van. Police said they arrested Assange after being invited into the embassy following the Ecuadorean Government's withdrawal of asylum. "The whole House will welcome the news this morning that the Metropolitan Police have arrested Julian Assange, arrested for breach of bail after nearly seven years in the Ecuadorean embassy," Prime Minister Theresa May told House of Commons MPs to cheers and cries of "Hear, hear!". Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Marise Payne said that Assange "will continue to receive the usual consular support from the Australian Government - ABC News Australia www.abc.net.au/news/2019-04-11/julian-assange-arrested-in-london/10995280 Thoughts?

I hate the idea of governments and their agencies operating without oversight. The patriot act is a 1000% more vicious attack on freedom than 9-11 ever was. Manning is clearly mentally unstable but a patriot in his motivations... Assange is a narcissistic asshole and I can't find it in me to sympathise with him, no matter what the public service he did exposing the law breaking of the intelligence agencies.
It makes me want to punch the world in the dick that the blimp assed Kardashian can make the front page, but nobody cares about the systematic erosion of our freedoms... Unless it sleeps with a celebrity

If you're dumb enough to piss off the country that is protecting you I have no sympathy whatsoever.

Ok that being said, regarding the US Assange didn't do anything but publish documents. ANY member of the mainstream press would have done the same damn thing. His sin is that he embarrassed the United States Government. His OTHER sin in the eyes of the Democrats is that he exposed Hillary Clinton and torpedoed her election. Which is why the MSM is condemning when they know damn well they would have done the same damn thing in his place.

I'm still surprised that Media outlets speak of state sponsored Russian hacking. I have seen nothing more than circumstantial evidence when it comes to the identity of fancy bear and even more that they were responsible for the dnc hack. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but there are plenty of reasons for someone to create friction between the Russians and the USA
