Legacy of Kain 1+2 Remastered got leaked today, I would have assumed the announcement was meant for Sony's State of Play that is going on later today. Comes out December.

I actually never played these games so this seems like something I might jump into in a few months.

Lunar at one point on my gaming backlog WAY back in the 2000s. Just based on anime cover + JRPG fiend at the time... figure hey if it has sequels it HAS to be good right? Never got around to it though.

One of the most beloved RPGs of PS1 era, I avoided the PSP version years ago because it was heavily watered down so I thought this was going to be the PSP version emulated but no somehow, someway they are getting revived despite the company that made these being long dead.

Dino Crisis and Blood Omen are the PS1 classics of the month so even Dino Crisis is getting some love in Spooktober. Dead Space Remake, Doki Doki Literature Club(!!!!) and WWE2K24(IDK why this is coming in October but hey that's a big get) are the PS Plus games in October. 

I've been playing a lot of Madden & MLB The Show lately, to try and get into American Sports, and I must say it has worked believe it or not.

Tennessee Titans are the team I enjoy the most on Madden, so I guess I'll follow those guys for real. (I think they're yet to win a game this season).

Titans are winless but they were competitive in 2 of the 3 games(Including my Jets) but they're in a rebuilding period right now with a new HC so there will be growing pains with them for a little bit. At least until they land their QB if Levis(Probably) doesn't turn out to be that. 

My Anbernic came in today!

I've been dropping ROMs on it all night. I'll dig into custom OS in the future, but for now, it's fucking great.

I think I've messed my MLB game up, I done some fantasy draft, I'm the Yankees and I have Ken Griffy Jnr & Lou Gherig and other no name jobbers who'll I grow to love.

Ubisoft is officially dead to me...

They let go of Ubisoft Montpellier because Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown(Top 10 GOTY for me right now) because the game didn't meet the expectation of sales it was hoping it would have gotten Ubisoft. Bare in mind, game was thrown in January with little to no real marketing and was being sold on a shitty Ubisoft streaming service on PC as well and was being charged at $50 which might be a little bit too rich for a Metroidvania entry point.

Game deserves way more buys, one of the best games this year for me and I think it will make my top 10. Everything is so smooth and once you get going and get the double jump/air dash, the movement just becomes so crisp. I wish it was a better experience on the Switch personally speaking from a technicality standpoint but that might be more of a knock on the Switch than anything else. I have yet to play the DLC but I know this game didn't sell well sadly. Deserved a far better fate.

Ubisoft has nothing going for it as a company for me with this news now. PoP: Sands of Time remake will be in 2-3 years if we're lucky but how good will that be and what will need to be the price point for that to break even if not sell well for Ubisoft to determine that it was a hit?


What pains me is this studio was behind the underrated Valiant Hearts: The Great War(I still wish they did a WWII inspired sequel) and most notably, both Rayman Origins & Rayman Legends are both phenomenal & fantastic.

Ubisoft has absolutely nothing left to offer me. Never been an Ass. Creed fan or Far Cry or Rainbow 6 or Watch Dogs or whatever else they try and shove out there. Unless there's a new South Park RPG coming out, miss me Ubisoft and go fuck off. Have no real expectation for Sands of Time Remake either, screams development hell. 

Xenoblade X out of nowhere!

I poured 180 hours into the Wii U version this year, curious to see what QOL changes they make to the Switch version.

March 20th 2025.

For those unaware, X is a spin-off of the series and is more gameplay focused than the others. If you're familiar with the Shin Megami Tensei vs. Persona comparison, you'd understand what I mean. The big selling point is online play and the ability to pilot mechs.

The game used the Wii U pad extensively in terms of warping and farming materials, so it'll be interesting to see how those features are adapted.

Nintendo presidents announcing that their meeting of the next Switch hardware and they said that backwards compatibility will happen. Not that it is a shocker but just glad to hear of it. I have a lot of physical Switch games, great news.

Halo 2 is 20 years old, and I fucking loved that game when I was a teenager. Fucked adored it and played it so much, my first copy had laser burns on it...so had to purchase it again.

Might finally be time. I don't play much these days and while there's a handful of ps5 games I wanna play it just hasn't been a priority because of that and supply issues. I look every week when I do my grocery shopping just to window shop and there's been both models available. Today I saw it marked down from 450 to 375. Surprised they had any still sitting with black friday. I think I'm finally gonna do it and maybe just focus on Rebirth. Course when I go to buy it, it'll probably be gone LMAO.

That’s exactly why I vote for the other modes, especially when it’s before work and o want a roughly 10 min game.

Nuketown is a small map, so to me it's fast paced and needs a fast paced match. TDM/Kill Confirmed does that well.

Sometimes domination, if you have a decent squad.

I thought I loved Nuketown 24/7, move aside map that is over 10+ years old now.


Stakeout 24/7 is my new favourite playlist/map.

How do we feel about save states? Do we consider it cheating even if it's just eliminating rigamarole via rewinding?

They're a handy feature that makes older games more accessible to a modern audience but when they're abused they'll spoil the experience.

I'm not above abusing it either and my SNES Classic is a testament to it.

One thing I want to get into more is using it as a chapter feature. Say I'm playing OoT and want to play through a specific dungeon it would be really handy just to have the save state.

You should have fun with Jamboree, plenty of jolly vibes and it's meant to be the best Mario Party game on the Switch.

On the question about save state, allowing to have some sort of quick save is a neat feature for much older games but when your like on a puzzle and you're saving mid puzzles just in case your screw up, that I do not like. I can imagine someone playing something like Guitar Hero and when you get a breather mid song in a Hard Difficulty and you can save state a game like that, do you really earn it if you save state mid song? Eh.

Sly Cooper 2 & 3 are being released on PS5 and I know they will have the save state feature. So I know for a fact places that I will utilize the save state before a boss.

To me it's not cheating, just a way to decrease the difficulty and the frustration of repeating a long section over and over again. I have abused it but it makes the game more fun to play, so why not?

Dusted off the Switch, taking a break from TV to play some. Then I remembered they never discount their titles. I still bent the knee, but I wasn't happy about it.
