I had been researching the idea of going to Uruguay this year. They have legal pot, been down with gay marriage for like ever and overall love red meat. On top of that it is legal for 12 year olds to change their names. This is a progressive step to help trans kids. Now pack the trans kids off to the side. No need for that seriousness in this thread. Just think back to your interests at ages say 12-14. What stupid names would you have changed your name to at those ages? I am thinking there is a solid chance I would have changed my name to Turbo.

I'm so thankful I didn't have the ability to change my name at that age. Pretty sure I'd have ended up as a Harry Ballsack or Anus Rectum. Prior to 12, I also have a vague memory of me thinking "Lace" would be the coolest name. Thank god there are some rules in place to protect us from ourselves.

So as some of you already know my legal name is Fergus Ferguson
To make matters worse itās an adopted last name, my dadās last name was originally Noye and it got changed to Ferguson when he got adopted. His background is French and has no Scottish background. Ironically my mothers has some Scottish background and her maiden name is a Scottish one.
Iāve considered changing my surname to Noye but it would just cause confusion with my siblings and parents, though I suppose most married women have the same problem with their sisters. Iād feel awkward changing my first name, it annoys me enough when people call me Angus by mistake.
Every time I think of changing it I get something that sweetens the deal.
Any time I have to give my full name, especially over the phone is a nightmare. Had to ring up to organise to collect a parcel and the lady just blatantly laughed and made fun of my name, if I was petty iād Have left a bad review.
On the plus side I didnāt have to pick a name for wrestling, which is ironic as in real life people would always ask if it was a fake name..but in wrestling where most have a gimmick name..no one ever asked š
I got Suzanne Palmerās novel āFinderā sent to me for free because the main character is named Fergus Ferguson, I got offered a discount on a burger named the Ferginator and on a regular occurrence iāll get my full name yelled at me excitedly in public, I just politely wave and wonder where they know me from (club/wrestling/school?)
My 14 year old transgender sibling changed their middle name, their first name is unisex though.
