This is generally everyone's favorite holiday. It's almost cliche in a way. Like saying your favorite book is Catcher in the Rye. But I get it. Candy, pranks, parties and it becomes socially acceptable for one day to cosplay as your favorite characters. Not to mention women know how to make any costume extra slutty. Plus you got scary movies. And be honest... it's probably the only time you've ever seen your neighbors and didn't duck your head and go straight to your car. So let's talk about it. Any memorable costume? How old were you when you stopped trick or treating? Of every kid in middle school who claimed he went bag snatching... were you the guy who actually did it? Also fuck you if that's true.

I've never been trick or treating. I was a loner recluse throughout my childhood and by the time I made some friends I was too old for that kiddie shit. It's not the kind of thing that interests me anyway. I can count on one hand the number of times I've worn a costume.
Halloween should be my thing. I like darkness and horror movies and metal and scary things. But it's just another day for me. The only special thing I do is listen to the song Halloween by Helloween. Not just because of the title, but because it's one of my favourite songs. In recent years I've stuck on a horror movie or two in the night, but it's not a guarantee.
This year might be different. I volunteer at a bookstore and we're planning a Halloween event. Not exactly sure what I'm going to do for it yet in terms of costumes, but I have an idea.

I've never been trick or treating either, halloween isn't exactly a big deal here in Australia. The day of, I head out to the shops, pick up a bag of fantales and some fun size mars bars which is more then enough for the 3 or 4 trick or treaters I get at my door.

No one....and I mean NO ONE.... is too old for trick or treating. I went out every year until I was 17. Free candy. What could be better?

I think I went until 9th or 10th grade to be honest. Maybe even 11. Just an excuse to hang out with friends. Only once were we ever refused candy, and it was from someone we went to school with so I thought it was weird. I think I went as Freddy once. Had to remove the mask every other house because I couldn't breathe. Little kids were legit scared too. And not when the mask was off...

I've never been refused candy. I also enjoyed being able to be out at night with friends.

I had hockey games on Halloween two years in a row when I was 13 and 14, so I was pretty pissed about that. When I was 15 I convinced two of my friends to go with me. Yay for free candy!
I'm in a new neighbourhood now, so I don't know what to expect. My old neighbourhood was a perfect grid and all residential so we got tons and tons of trick or treaters. Now, I'm in a neighbourhood where the houses are more spread out, and larger, so I don't know. I bought a ton of candy and chocolate so I'm prepared. If it lasts to the 31st...
I was the Flash two years in a row when I was 6+7 because I loved that original campy show in the mid 80s. Had a sweet Garfield costume too one year.

I grew up in military housing and for whatever reasons my friends and I always believed in the rumors that the officer houses gave full sized candy bars. Obviously we were the sons of lowly enlisted scum, so we never ventured over there. Always wondered if it was real or if it was just like the Mortal Kombat Nudality rumor... just a 90's urban legend.

My wife's aunt is one of those fabled full sized chocolate bar homes. She's the last house on the block (or first?!) so it's worth it. They must blow a ton of money for halloween!

The "rich" parts of Columbus like Bexley and Obetz give full size candy bars. I used to go out there when I was really young, with my mom.
I've not been able to take my kids out there but they've gone with school friends to those areas, and made out like bandits.
And a few old ladies, give out money. Spare change mostly but at the end of the night you could have $2 or $3.

I love Halloween but I don't do as much for it anymore. Last year I didn't even dress up but I did hang out with some friends and we played scary video games and ate snacks, then I went over to another friend's place and just hung out. The year before I dressed up as a lumberjack since I already have the beard for it so all I really needed was a long sleeve flannel shirt, some jeans, and an axe. I found a plastic prop axe at a store and I had the flannel shirt and jeans already as well, so I was good to go.
As a teenager I would just go as Jason Voorhees every year with the hockey mask. As a child I remember my favorite costume was my Red Ranger Power Rangers costume, it was pretty sweet. I also liked the one year I was a bat even though every one that saw me thought I was Batman, so I just went along with it eventually.
This year I probably won't do much but just stay home and watch Smackdown Live since it'll be on that night. We don't get trick or treaters in our neighborhood either so yeah not much going on here.

I actually keep my current haircut specifically for Halloween! A couple years ago I grew it out (I use to keep it very short) so I could go to a Halloween party as Rick Grimes from the Walking Dead. It went over very well. Now, it is the standard Halloween costume for me.

Halloween isnā€™t really celebrated here in Australia, most youā€™ll get is normally kids asking for stuff without a costume.
Would love to celebrate it in the US, was amazed at all the Halloween stuff they had at K-Mart when I was in NYC in September.

I celebrated until middle school probably, 11 or 12. I only really remember dressing as Casey Jones from Ninja Turtles because my grandpa made me a hockey stick to carry. Mostly generic costumes, Carpenter, hobo, etc.
My wife is big into horror movies and creepy things so Halloween has been fun with her since weā€™ve met, though now itā€™s mostly based around making the kiddo happy.
