My son has a friend named Tripp. And his sister is named Luma. I know some folks named Tripp too. One is distant cousin but it’s neither of their real names. It’s a nickname on account of them being III’s, third in line with same name.

Better than them all being named the same. I have 4 'nieces' named Brooke or longer forms that go by 'Brooke'. Brooke, Brooke, Brooklynn, Brooke-Lynn.

That drag is protected as a sacred art form, expression of speech, like it is a sexuality, and not a form of theater bordering on burlesque. The delusion that drag is all things cross dressed are equal or that Mrs Doubtfire speaks to the flamboyant and extravagant exaggeration of a cher impression act are the same

People do not want drag shows, then repeal the 1st amendment. Otherwise it is legally not obscene and that "sacred" protection is merely the American legal system. The adult shows are under guidelines for public nudity as it is, and most of the complaints presume that the all ages drag is the same as adult erotic drag.
What I do not get is how people do not realize these drag bans have nothing to do with drag and instead are to ban trans people from public by essentially making post-op trans people shopping for groceries be consider the same a stripper's routine.

Also wonder why it seems more conservative minded people get so hard at drag. Like does this apply to other things too, like people in Minnie Mouse costumes at disney? Should we be barring these people from shows, as they are obviously getting sexual enjoyment out of non-sexual performances aimed at children.

Dragshows... trans... etc. I understand it's all projection, but these are NON ISSUES facing the world right now. We have a billion things we should be focusing on as a nation that it's fucking embarrassing people are getting so worked up over beer. We're reaching the end of a cliff but sure this is important.

Conservatives needed something to freak out about since the mask/vaccine conversation died down, especially when it comes to schools and kids. They really wanna bust teachers unions and kill public school altogether. Who knew drumming up old propaganda from the 1950s about children being steered away from heterosexuality would work so well?

I think it's probably safe to say that the lefts outrage over the rights outage overshadowed the rights outrage.
It's kinda like when westboro baptist church shows up or threatened to show up and more people come to protest them than there are even members of westboro
I'm not taking one side or the other I just find the debate interesting

State are literally trying to ban drag shows and nazis are protesting them, and you think the problem is the left saying that a legal right to these shows exists under the 1st amendment?

One thing I've noticed over the years is that the other side is always worse no matter what. It's how the ruling class keeps up in check. Convincing us they are the enemy and not ya know the actual villains. Willful idiots.

Patrick Bateman: Come on, Bryce. There are a lot more important problems than Sri Lanka to worry about.
Timothy Bryce: Like what?
Patrick Bateman: Well, we have to end apartheid for one. And slow down the nuclear arms race, stop terrorism and world hunger. We have to provide food and shelter for the homeless, and oppose racial discrimination and promote civil rights, while also promoting equal rights for women. We have to encourage a return to traditional moral values. Most importantly, we have to promote general social concern and less materialism in young people.

Yes, because wanting the world to be a better place is an idiotic idea that no one really cares about and we should all be hyper capitalists.

The term actually originated in the British theatre back in the 1800's. Drag balls can be traced back to the 1880's. There is a huge difference between cross dressers and Drag performers. The lack of education around the subject is how this has escalated to these absurd proportions.

Ancient drag queens vs drag queens of today. Were any of these ancient drag queens in grade schools?

Always find it funny when people reference history to claim the norms of today are perverse. Romans literally would kill people for entertainment, and children throughout history were fine to bring to public baths, which were not always split by sex even.
I do love people claiming that it is obscene to have crossdressers with big tits. Literally complaining about the silicon breastplate. A piece of fucking rubber that is then covered.
Or God forbid half the ass is exposed under nylon. A bare male ass is considered PG content but cover it in nylon and holy shit need to get the censors.
Crossdressers are not coming to children anyway. If parents have problems, then do not bring your kids to crossdressers. Do not bring to reading days, opt out if they visit classrooms, and do not take them to the erotic 18+ no children allowed nights at gay bars, where they are not permitted to be anyway.
This is the shit you all be freaking out about and it is insanity.
