I'm not sure if it's a phenomenon in The States and Canada, but 4WD/4x4 Ute's tail-gating to the point of bullying people on the roads.
Maybe, with all that extra visibility being so high, they can see a lot further ahead and they're betting on the traffic not slowing down any time soon.. but maybe they're all flogs. Especially the guys running 30inch tyres in suburbia.
It might just be exclusive to the country roads, where half these guys are coming off the farm for the first time in weeks and don't understand how dangerous it is.

In some weird ways, I'm kinda surprised that motorcycles are legal in the United States with all the restrictions on other vehicles.

Articles that use an acronym then in brackets put what it stands for. (DINK) Dual Income No Kids.
Wastes as much time using the phrase “half a dozen”

I get it, helmets in theory protect the head, if you don't wear one and hit the deck - that's on you buddy, have fun living with EOD. If you're lucky that, if it's only a bit of a snap and crackle and not the complete pop. Back in the day the local coppers would pull you over, ask what you forgot and then tell you to go home and get your helmet. And it worked. The old school " teachable moment " type policing is almost non-existent today in favour of just fining every kid who doesn't understand the consequences yet, or hasn't had a scare. I still remember the coppers who used to turn up to some of our unofficial car meets back in the day, who would casually get out of the car, then causally walk around and tell us, you've got 10 minutes before we start road worthy inspections, so... get out of here. It gave you a bit of a scare, but it also let you know where the line was without a massive financial kick in the nuts.

Seems to be a uniquely american thing that they're very defiant about not wearing them... I don't understand that. Is it a choice in America? Don't most modern cars beep like crazy until the seat belt is locked in? Or is this another America does what it wants sort of deal. I do remember in The Netherlands, not having to wear a seat belt in the rear.

I do remember in The Netherlands, not having to wear a seat belt in the rear. Not sure if it beeps endlessly, but I've driven with people who don't do it right away until you give them the <_< look so I take it they just don't even register it like smoke detector beeps in the hood. I would love if the car wouldn't even go if it's beeping. People here are more concerned with a ticket/citation for not wearing one vs. flying through the windshield...

Welp, I am definitely not driving a tank at incredible speeds or deliberately causing accidents. You definitely don't know the vehicle I'm driving. But, if you are fearing tanks at incredible speeds I would definitely not recommend open air with 400 lbs of steel between your knees. Want to feel safe? Get on the road in something safe. No, I obviously don't think you deserve a bad experience. That's insane. Don't take it personally, just struck a nerve (obviously). I do stand by what I said but tbf I went overboard on you there. I just get tired of some drivers instantly being on the offensive and making an already dangerous situation worse. And yes, some motorcyclists are absolutely culpable as well in that equation and can be as entitled as they come.

Yeah I don't get people who refuse to wear seatbelts. There's no reason not to. It's easy, takes a second, and causes minimal discomfort.

The 2005 Ford Falcon XR6 beeped excessively if the seat belt wasn't on. I knew a guy with one of these, who'd turn his radio up to drown out the beeping rather than put on his seatbelt.. I was horrified as a passenger.

What some people ACTUALLY do at their jobs. I don’t mean this in a “ha do you actually do any work?” way but just genuinely curious.
Watched a few videos pop up on my feed about Fly In, Fly Out workers in the mines. They cover their whole day and then the positives and negatives about the job. The pay, the conditions. But never explain what they are actually doing at the job. Like I use imagine an orc with a Pickaxe, wow style.
Same with a lot of white collar positions. Maybe I’m just slow but it makes it frustrating for me looking at job ads when they don’t answer this question.

I don't even pretend to know what any desk job does. Emails sure, but that can't be it right?

LOTS of emails. Sometimes phone calls too, sadly.
I get an email, send out more emails to help me do whatever that original email was requesting and at the end I send a final email back and file the email chain in the appropriate email folder in case I need to refer to it at a later date.
There are days when it's all I can do just to keep on top of my emails.
I plunk around on our ERP system and sometimes search stuff online. Basically I problem solve and find stuff.

I like to read emails right away, but currently I have 89 emails showing as 'unread' which means I've read them, but still need to action them in order to file them away or bin them. My personal email is a disaster. Same with my iPad messenger.

As a matter of a fact yes, and they made it a bit less bubbly than the 2000s. www.carfax.com/Research-2018-Volkswagen-Beetle_z33905Kinda a poor man's Porsche or Audi tt

Smaller cars with a mild output are always fun, you can drive them like you stole it and never really put yourself in danger. I just really wanted a small car without a chintzy interior. Which is hard to come by. VW makes a substantial interior. Nissan versa and Fiat, even the abarth were crap interiors. Not sure about Mimi Cooper
