The Saints season is far from over , I know @theshow is bummed right now and rightfully so but he still has one of the best offensive minds in the NFL and a good roster with great line on that team. Plus the NFC South is largely a mess and NO team is going to run away with that division. They could easily go 3-3 or 2-4 over their next 6 games and still only be a game back from being in 1st in the division.

Pittsburgh is definitely fucked though.

Bummed is an understatement right now. Between Brees getting hurt and another ref fuck up, I am ready to go full on Shin mode and quit watching NFL all together. I had fear that this was the end for Brees but since they are saying it’s a 6-8 week recovery window, I am holding out hope for him to return and give us one final run at the end of the season. Like you said, if we can manage a 3-3 record during this stretch, we would still be in good shape. Problem is, our upcoming schedule is pretty tough. We have @sea, Dallas, TB, @jax, @chicago, Arizona, BYE, and Atlanta. If we can just beat TB, Jax, and Arizona, I’ll be happy. Not many people around here have faith in Teddy and want Taysom Hill to start instead. I don’t agree or disagree with that. Teddy has looked bad in his one start last season, this preseason, and yesterday but this is the reason we signed him as the highest back up in the league. He needs to step up and hold down the forte while Brees is gone. I am worried that Brees throwing hand will not be the same once he has surgery. I hope I’m wrong.

Still, this situation has me defeated. I really feel for Steelers’ fans atm.

I wasn't worrying, Ben is always a bit wide on the first few games of the season, then dials it back, and receivers not named Moncrief had a chance. With him, I was confident the offense would come back together, without is a scary prospect, complete uncertainty.

Moncrief has been on a Nathan Peterman level of bad this year. Seriously awful.

That is fair but their defense is what looked like it might hold them back just as much. I’m sure they would have put it together eventually but I was never big on Pittsburgh this year.

I watched them both with the Giants.   Yes Newhouse was bad but Flowers literally cost the Giants 2-3 games a years singlehandedly.  That's how bad he was.

My bold prediction is that Mason Rudolph plays really well and we never see Ben start for the Steelers again.

Tonight feels like a really important night for the Browns. It's crazy how quickly things in the NFL develop - they were the story heading into the season but already feel like a bit of an afterthought again. If they are anything like the team they should be, they should handle the Jets easily.

And I’ve been watching Newhouse fuck over a good Packers teams years before that.

The very idea you could be the worst rated player in the NFL on the right side of a 40 point blowout is insane. Think about that - the Dolphins scored zero points , did nothing on offense and their quarterbacks got killed and they still rated better than Newhouse. It’s not even a discussion.
