ANYWAYS; tonight is GAME NIGHT!

I know not many care about the Jaguars or Titans, but I mustache you a question....!

Could this be the last time we see Jalen Ramsey in Jaguars uniform? If the Jags get embarrassed again (like last season) in this game, will they fire Doug Marrone? Will Leonard Fournette ever live up to his draft capital? Will Marcus Marriotta show any improvement to make the Titans want to keep him after this season? Will Minshew become a primetime (is this considered primetime) legend tonight? He's been the best jobber we've seen since Tim Tebow. There is a chance he improves like a mad man and has a career game tonight, but it will be tough to do it to the Titans D.

Anyways; my prediction.

Jaguars squeak out a victory. 19-17 on a GW FG as time expires after Minshew leads a miracle drive under 2 minutes to put them in FG range. Whatever happens will have a major impact, believe it or not. That division is going to be super tight so a win here is huge for tiebreakers.

AS FOR FANTASY FOOTBALL: I'm facing Derrick Henry in my BIG$ league so I hope he shits the bed tonight. The last thing I need is a rewind of last season in this game. Especially since my starting RBs (Singletary/Jacobs) are both questionable to play this week with Singletary looking doubtful. I'm probably starting Chris Thompson and either TJ Yeldon or Jordan Wilkins. So I can use a bad performance from Derrick Henry tonight.

I don't think Miami got max trade value out of Minkah. Draft picks in general are over valued, they might end up getting back the pick they drafted him with, but there's no guarantee that player they use it on turns out to be any good. Fitzpatrick already proved he was an elite corner with versatility - I'm taking the guy who's already proven himself over an unknown every time.

They run it out of the I-formation every first down and he gets hit at or behind the line each time - it's not all his fault.

I don’t think the NFL will do this unless more teams adopt the model. If it falls to an NBA/MLB level of teams consistently not trying to win games maybe, but outside of the rare can’t miss QB there’s not as much value being in the top 5 as there is in the NBA.

And Blindy suggesting teams don’t tank is an odd position. Players don’t tank, coaches don’t tank, GMs tank. Trading Fitzpatrick was a waving the white flag move. You don’t trade a talented corner under team control unless you’re not interested in winning in short term.

Minshew is so accurate with his ball placement it's hard to believe he was only a sixth rounder.

Westbrook has really let him down tonight - he's 15/20 and three of those were drops by Dede. Catch that easy TD and the game is over.

A lot of these primetime games have been brutal to watch.

Packers/Bears= boring.
Raiders/Broncos= blah.
Browns/Jets= boring.

Now this game.

That hurry up drill really was Peak Titans. They got the ball down 13 with 3:23 to go and took three whole minutes to get past midfield. They've been exactly the same team for years and years now, just generally pathetic and irrelevant.

Minshew is legit good - like he throws such a good ball and is accurate. He's going to have some lumps but there might be something there. I hope he can keep it going , I was a fan from the Chiefs game where he was making a lot of good throws.

Anyways @admin is right about the Titans just always being irrelevant. Like no team in the NFL derives more apathy from the country I think. They are just so boring.

It sucks for Mariota too , I wasn't a fan of his coming out of college , thought I was going to eat my words and now he looks like a lame duck starter. In his defense though I HATE what Tennessee has tried to build around him. Vrabel is a good coach but I don't think his style and what Mariota needs to succeed will ever be similar. He doesn't belong in a power run game , play action pass offense - he should be able to go into more of a spread offense to fit his skills. I don't know if he'd still be good but at least he'd have a chance. He's TOAST in Tennessee.

In the NFL that is completely untrue.   A coach is going start the guy he believes gives his team the best chance to win.  Period.   If the starter gets injured and the back up plays at a higher level the back up is going to keep playing even when the starter come back.

The situation with the Jaguars reminds me of the 1999 Rams when their big free agent signing Trent Green went down with injury and got replaced by Kurt Warner. The Jags aren’t anywhere close offensively to that team; just a similar situation. There’s been a lot of situations like that over the years in the NFL which makes that quote pretty dumb.

You know he’s going to play and score like 3 touchdowns this weekend. It’s pretty sad. He’s quickly become one of my least favorite players in the league. I may dislike Cam Newton or Matt Ryan as a competitive rival but they seem like decent guys off the field so I have nothing against them personally. AB just seems like a shitty person all around.

I would normally agree but it's multiple women at this point and given how crazy he acted late with the Steelers getting so up in arms over a teammate getting team MVP over him enough to force him to leave and the whole Raider debacle, things begin to add up. It isn't just an isolated incident, not sure how he is playing on an NFL team outside of his talent. It's just taken another level with this. Pats could destroy the Dolphins and Jets without Brown just as much, it's such an unnecessary move on their end that puts an asterisk on what they are doing by employing and playing this guy predominantly. 

Brown came butt naked covering his dick and made sexual advances while she was trying to do a job he paid and flew her in for. Who in their right mind in this day and age would do that? It's career suicide. Regardless of what he did or didn't do, he still held it against her that she has a lot of kids as if to vilify her for wanting to make this bigger than it seems for the cash. It's a shitty generalization, someone with 1 child could struggle just as much financially as someone with 3 children.


I wasn't accusing him of him doing this or not in my initial post, him trying to diminish her by bringing up her family is a scumbag move. 

LT, he didn’t post it on social media. He sent her a text message in a group that included his lawyer saying she’s broke, posting pictures of her kids, and asking the others in the group message to investigate her. Whether he’s innocent or not, that is such a stupid and idiotic thing to do because now it looks like he is threatening her. I actually do not think she was going to press charges on him but he went and did this and now the NFL is meeting with her lawyers today.

And as I say this, Pats give Antonio Clown the boot. Hit the road jack and don't you come back....no more no more no more.

At least when the Pats destroy the Jets in the air, I am salvaging fantasy points via Edelman :suspic:
