Maybe he’s trying to boost his confidence a bit and pad his stats. 

And that trade up by Pace will be talked about for years if Mitch doesn’t lead this defense to a Super Bowl title. If they had Watson or Mahomes, they would have a dynasty.

Not a ton he can do. 14 of these points are on the offense with the pick six and fumble inside the 10. The Skins defense hasn’t been terrible otherwise.

I was just thinking the same thing. Sometimes I wonder does Josh Norman wish he was still playing with the Carolina Panthers.

Really that is more of a good play by Trevathan than a mistake by Keenum. I'm sure he would have pulled the ball back in but the defender just read his intentions too quickly.

Just been back through the Daniel Jones tape and holy shit. Obviously there will be growing pains over the rest of the season but his performance was beyond all expectations. He really put the full spectrum of QB play out on the field - athleticism to extend plays, toughness under pressure, anticipatory throws.

The defence is still a real disaster, and it was only a narrow (and lucky) win over another not very good team, but there are some promising signs now. The Giants o-line is finally decent again especially the interior three, Evan Engram's finally taken the step up to elite TE, and basically everyone in the rookie class had some sort of impact in this game. Obviously losing Saquon is a blow, and clearly one of those "you can't have too many nice things!" moments, but overall it's just nice to have some hope and excitement again.

What it does for the Giants is give them a legit chance to win the EAST next season. Barkley may not even play again this season if they are far out of the playoff picture. I see they make bring in CJ Anderson, but they should really bring in Kenyan Drake. Might not be worth a draft pick, but I think he gives them more then Gallman can.

But this season will be a 4-12 or 5-11 season but another high draft pick plus the Jones/Barkley/Engram era officially beginning and I am fired up for it.

I agree Daniel Jones completely surpassed expecations. My only complaint is that he is still coughing up the ball too much. Ball security is your friend.

Between the revamped O-line, Jones, Barkley and Engram, things are looking up for the Giants offense. Unfortunately our defense is still the drizzling shits and I don't see much hope for improvement.

By all reports our rookies played their best games yet. Lawrence had a sack and blocked an XP, Baker limited Godwin to 3-40 (although this might be partially because Evans was absolutely torching Jenkins), Ximines had a sack and Connelly had an interception. 

We obviously lack any sort of elite level talent but early signs are that Gettleman has come up with his second decent draft in a row which is a big turnaround from what we were getting in the last few years of Reese. We're playing with a lot of guys on defence who are still in their first three years - including all three starters on the d-line.
