The greek freak has been draining 3's all month. If he remains respectable from that range, it's a wrap.

I had to go and watch the crappy Seahawks game while the Raptors just pulled off their biggest comeback ever with 3 starters out injured.
Down 85-55 with like 5 to go in the 3rd. Won 110-107. Lowry had 20 pts in the 4th.
Fuck me.

ESPN "experts" made a decade starting five and AD is there, but not Khawi. WTF has AD done in a decade? Nothing. No individual awards, no playoff success etc.

They were doing it by position. Kawhi doesn’t play center, he was beat out by KD and Lebron.

A couple minutes ago, the league announced the passing of David Stern. Behind the likes of Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, and LeBron James, David Stern had perhaps the biggest impact on what we know today as the NBA. He didn’t always get things right, however, he was the type of commissioner every sports league should want.
There was a time when the NBA Finals was broadcast on tape delay at 11pm at night after local news. The NBA was barely the 4th most popular sport in the US, as well as not profitable. On top of that, there was even a perception that the NBA was full of thugs and overly violent. David Stern singlehandedly turned the league into a household brand, and by the end of his tenure, it became an international brand.
He was one of the most influential commissioners of all time in any sport, and in my personal opinion, the greatest one based on the impact he had. Rest well Mr. Stern

A lot of the players (even young ones) are extremely aware that they owe the lives they have to Stern for turning the NBA into what it is today. RIP Stern.

I have this strange feeling that the NBA Championship is not going to feature any of the LA teams. I feel like someone random is going to get in only to get spanked by Milwaukee. Maybe Dallas, maybe Denver or even Utah. I just don’t think these LA teams are ready to get that far right off the bat. Although it is hard to bet against Kawhi and Lebron, I just have this weird feeling the NBA Championship will be some nightmare match up between Milwaukee and Denver or something that nobody really wants to see minus UT.

Big news day on Trade Deadline Day.
Iggy to the Heat.
Andrew Wiggins to the Warriors in exchange for D'Angelo Russell.
Marcus Morris, Sr. to the Clippers
Glen Robinson III to the Sixers
Andre Drummund to the Cavaliers.
Leon Rose expected to be named the next president of the Knicks (Thank goodness they didn't go after Ujiri).

Big news day on Trade Deadline Day. Iggy to the Heat. Andrew Wiggins to the Warriors in exchange for D'Angelo Russell. Marcus Smart, Sr. to the Clippers Glen Robinson III to the Sixers Andre Drummund to the Cavaliers. Leon Rose expected to be named the next president of the Knicks (Thank goodness they didn't go after Ujiri). I only know who like two of those people are. I think the Knicks did go after Ujiri but I guess it wasn’t enough to get him to leave Toronto. He seems to really like it up here, so that’s nice.

I think New York's gonna continue to be a dumpster fire, as long as James Dolan is owner.

Marcus Smart
Morris is a good pickup he did well given teams treated him as the main threat of a woeful Knicks squad so it will be much easier for him to get baskets. And Knicks get some draft picks and get my guy Harkless from St John's.

I know we don’t talk much bout basketball here until the playoffs start but after an awesome All Star Weekend, I decided to look up the standings and see how things are shaping up.
And boy oh boy we might get some EXCELLENT revenge games in the first round.
We’ll start with the East. Barring some crazy changes, we are most likely getting Philadelphia versus Miami. That gives us Jimmy Butler against his former team. In the 4/5 showdown, we are going to get an exciting matchup before the inevitable match up against Milwaukee in the 2nd round.
Then there’s the 3 vs 6 in the West. The Oklahoma City Thunder against the Los Angeles Clippers. Chris Paul going against the team that he fought wars for. Yes it’s been a few seasons since he played for them but he has surely proven this year that he still has it.
I’m also hoping that the Pelicans snatch that 8 seed so we can get Pelicans vs Lakers first round. Besides the epic showdown of Zion vs Lebron in the playoffs, we would get all the Laker castaways in New Orleans (Lonzo, Ingram and Hart) facing the former team that gave them all up for Anthony Davis. This would probably be a 5 game series but it would be so epic to see.
Let’s hope we get those 3 series so the NBA Playoffs start with a bang.

It’s blow my mind how well the Raptors have done this year. They’ve been plagued with injury and they’re without Kawhi, yet they’re comfortably in 2nd and they look like they could walk any team except Milwaukee. It’s unreal.
If everyone stays healthy they’re cruising in the 1st round and probably take out Philly/Miami/Boston whoever they play. Philly and Miami will be tougher than Boston, I feel. Gonna be an interesting playoffs in the east.
I’d be shocked if anyone beats Milwaukee to the finals this year. They’re ridiculous. Obviously I’m pulling for the Raptors but if they don’t make it I want Giannis to win a title more than anything. Dude is a legit superstar (and he likes Arsenal!)

Bucks are too damn good.
Nobody in the EAST is going to touch them in the playoffs. The way they beat Philly and Toronto says it all. Yeah they let Beal go off for 50+ but they won in OT without Giannis. This teams too damn good.

If people sit back & think about it, The Bucks without Giannis are the Hawks of 4 seasons ago, At best winning 60 games at worst a #4 seed.

That game fell off a cliff for the Raptors. That 4th quarter was poo.
Still, I hope that was a preview of this year’s conference finals. The Bucks probably win the series but it goes at least 6 games and would be so much fun.

The Raptors have been so good this season. Of course, every fanbase wants to win every year but considering the negative playoff history Toronto has overcome, I would like to think as long as the Raptors are competitive winning a round at least two, RT , Drake & crew will be pleased.

Well Philly is falling apart with injuries to both Simmons and Embiid now. That process has taken a turn. It’s a matter of time before that organization has to let go of either Embiid or Simmons.

Being off of work for a week has me thinking crazy thoughts.
I think the NBA Finals is going to be the Milwaukee Bucks that will probably lose tops 2 games in the East taking on the small ball Houston Rockets. Crazy, right?
I think Houston takes out Utah first round and then stuns the world and keeps us away from the LA vs LA WCF showdown by taking out the Lakers. Then in the WCF, the Rockets just stun the world by defeating the Clippers.
Milwaukee will run through Orlando, Miami and Boston to make it to the Finals and we will get the real feud of the year in the Finals. Giannis vs Harden.
And dare I say it.... the Houston Rockets will be the NBA Champions.
