It really is. It’s always terrible on both sides of every game. I don’t care about the first call because turnabout is fair play and it should have been a first down anyways. The second call was bad but whatever - Aaron still played lights out and Lazard balled out , out of nowhere.

It really is. Doesn’t matter the team or the game, they are dictating so many close games. For example, the Jets and Cowboys game had 6 straight plays with penalties on the final drive. It’s just ridiculous.

No fault to the Packers though. You take what you get. I wish the Saints were on the favored end of a bad call at the end of a game haha.

Detroit had every chance in the world to win this game. They kicked 5 field goals after starting on their own side of the field three times. Shepard and Jones handed them the game and they didn’t do shit on offense after the 1st quarter.

Shitty calls on both sides. Lack of PIs everywhere. A phantom hold on Jenkins in the first. Refs suck. Just like the Philly game. I’ll take one on my side though as LAWD knows it’s sucked the other way too.

TJ Hockinson's endzone drop in the second turned out huge. That was a sure-fire touchdown that he just let go.

Lost in the calls was Rodgers throwing DIMES tonight. That pass to Lazard was sick as was the pass and catch to MVS.

He had another one dropped by Graham too.

Also Preston Smith is a man.

I hate when refs need to decide the game. No one comes to see the refs ref the game away. The NFL does their officials no favor by not allowing these to be looked at and reviewed esp under 2 minutes.

That is awful and I think Trey Flowers realizes that he is on a team now that will never get those calls ever. It's why the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor.

That was an embarrassing and easily overshadows what was a very good game.

The refs hand Green Bay another win they didn't deserve in Lambeau. What else is new?

The thing is , Detroit could have put this game away numerous times and fucking blew it. Up 13-0 and Stafford and this passing offense put up like 80 yards passing through the last three quarterbacks and like nothing on the ground. They got handed the ball three times in their own territory and kicked 5 field goals. They weren't doing shit but shooting themselves in the foot and dropping touchdown passes.

Secondly people are stupid pretending that that last call was "giving the Packers the win" it prevented Detroit from getting the ball back but Crosby was still going to kick the field goal and we were still going to take the lead. It's awful dumb to think automatically that this offense that couldn't move the ball 10 yards down the field for most of the last three quarters was just going to march down the field and win the game with under a minute and no timeouts.

Lastly I don't care if they were bad calls , there is a picture floating around of the one call that clearly shows his hand in the right side of the helmet but whatever - there were bad calls on both teams and are in every game. I still don't know how that first touchdown was a touchdown when three people waved it off and one said it was despite not being able to see the ball. I've mentioned the clear PI in the one drive where the guy just shoves Jones to the ground in the middle of a route downfield. There was a blatant PI to Kumerow on his hitch route to the sideline on third down - just to say - the refs suck all around and if you are going to berate a team for getting the better end of it one week that you are going to hate every team in the NFL at one point this year not named the Saints - because they always get fucked. I'm sure the Packers will be on the wrong end of it at some point and I will bitch up a storm.

The difference between this and most is that a fucking dumbass named Booger decided to use this as a pedestal for some reason and got the whole nation up in arms. He pushed the narrative and now fans are running with it , and again his exact quote on Jones being SHOVED to the ground earlier in the game "I don't see much there". I liked him leading up tonight but dude is a fucking clown who obviously has an agenda.

It’s funny because tons of Booger haters are giving him props and respect for lashing out at the refs at the end. Myself included.

The Lions may not have done anything with the ball at the end but we will never know because the refs blew the call. I would have liked for them to have the opportunity they were screwed out of. Refs should not dictate the end of games and it happens far too often.

I don't disagree but it's also just not a foregone conclusion that the Lions were going to win that game like people are acting it was. It's not like that was 4th down and the game was over - the field goal was still going to happen and the Lions were going to have to do something.

I didn't hate Booger as much as others but he had an agenda , he picks and chooses his fights and is clearly bias as to what he is going to harp on. He did it in the Jets/Browns game as well. He is clearly a fucking idiot though after saying "I see nothing" in the Jones PI play where the entire stadium erupted. And then to use this as your soapbox. Get the fuck outta here Booger and grow up - you're a grown ass man who still goes by Booger.

I gotta agree with UT, Booger McFarlane really won the nation over with his bluntness and I think people aren't used to seeing someone calling it like it is when most stay vanilla and don't press the issue. But I do agree that he went a little too overboard and I think there's a certain level of professionalism needed as a broadcaster/analyst that doesn't have to go above and beyond on the call. Being truthful is fine, being obnoxiously over the top where he is demanding answers from the ESPN Ref in booth(Terry McCauley sp?) is ridiculous.  Let the talking heads and social media dictate what is right and what is not. 

He pissed me off in the Jets/Browns game with his over the top snipe on Jamal Adams push on Mayfield but more so trying to excuse Myles Garrett late hits that included a season ender so I totally get how his style can get on one's nerves.

The refs gave the win to the Packers plain and simple.

The first phantom “hands to the face” call turned a 4th and long punt into a first down in which Rodgers threw a TD pass 2 plays later. Yes, Rodgers had excellent accuracy last night BUT that play should’ve never happened. Sure the Packers D might’ve got the ball back but that gave the Packers an undeserved TD which made it a 2 point game afterwards.

Then same situation on a 3rd down that fails for GB, they call it again ON THE SAME PLAYER! That lets GB eat the clock and end the game with a FG I could’ve made.

It’s straight up bullshit. There’s no excusing it or talking about some bullshit Aaron Jones no call. Such an irrelevant play, too. That didn’t decide the game. Those TWO plays decided the game. It’s obvious to anyone that’s not a GB fan.

I came into this season ready to be on board with the Packers. I’ve had them as the best NFC team for 5 9/10 Weeks. But between that bullshit last night (which isn’t their fault technically) and Davante Adams being a bitch for my fantasy team; I fucking HATE the Packers.

Now this all changes if Adams comes back soon and comes back dominant and helps me win a championship but until then and forever afterwards; fuck the Packers.

If we are going to be real; I was saying it live during the game “before it was cool” so I don’t know where you’re getting your vibe from.

You are literally the only person I know that is arguing against it.

Here’s my takeaways from the following week:

1- The Chiefs are in trouble, but no need to panic. The ankle of Mahomes is obviously affecting him, but this team is still going to be super dangerous in the playoffs. They need to figure out their defense, which is probably not going to get fixed no matter what. However, if Mahomes can stay on his feet, this team is still favorites to win the AFC IMO. We haven’t even seen the best of their offense yet. Kelce hasn’t shown up yet. He will.

2- The Patriots glaring need is on the offense. They can’t put together a complete offense game yet and quite frankly, it’s a matter of time before their defense and special teams can’t hold it together for 4 quarters. I’m taking the Jets this week over New England and wouldn’t be surprised if Cleveland comes back from their bye and New England loses two in a row.

3- Without even playing a game last week, I can calmly say that the Bears are finished. Kyle Long going on IR for the 4th season in a row and Akiem Hicks going on IR is all I needed to hear to know the Bears are done. Their offense is so bad and is not going to improve unless they give Trubisky some magic juice on his injured shoulder. This team is destined to go 8-8 or 9-7 and that’s not going to be enough for a wildcard spot considering the Packers were just handed the NFC North.

4- The MVP battle is between RUSS, Watson and CMC. Mahomes is out of the running. Without those 3 players, those teams are not playoff contenders. I believe the Texans are winning their division. RUSS and CMC will be in a battle for a wildcard spot and as of right now, I’m giving both of them the 5 and 6 seeds.

5- Which means; Minnesota is out. The Rams are out. And here’s my big one....

6- The Giants are winning the NFC East. After the Giants defeat Arizona this weekend, someone is going down in the Philly and Dallas game and my bet is it’s the Cowboys losing. The Giants are about to get Barkley and Engram back and when they do, they are going to make a run for it with Danny Dimes and they are going to win that NFC East.

7- Dan Quinn will be fired during the BYE week. The Falcons will be 1-9 headed into their bye and will somehow finish with a top 5 pick which is insane. Their next HC will be handed a top 5 pick and an explosive offense. Let’s see how ATL looks next season because that will be their best shot.

8- The San Francisco 49ers are going to the Super Bowl. Yes the NFC is going to be a dog fight and yes SF might not be ready in the playoffs for the likes of Rodgers and Russel but they will have that top seed and face either the Giants (4) or the Seahawks (5) after having a BYE and will take full advantage of it.

I’m not arguing against the single call itself , I’m arguing against the stupidity that is “the refs handed the Packers the game”. No the Lions handed the over the last three quarters and that hands to face call did NOTHING to the upcoming field goal try. The Lions were going to be down after that drive anyways.
