So with the accusations regarding Weinstein and today's big name being Kevin Spacey (which is leading to the cancellation of House of Cards), what are your thoughts about all this craziness?

This is nothing new. This goes all the way back to Roman Polanski. How the hell does this guy continue to run free?

I’d say Weinstein just upset someone more powerful, and this is rampant in Hollywood.

On the music side Twiggy Ramirez has been Accused of Rape, as well as someone in the band Crystal Castles.

While, I don't deny what's happened. I'm sure there's truth to it.

I do however, believe there's a fine line between flirting and sexual harassment - looks, charm, personality. An average looking man with zero personality, approaching a woman and spouting off some cheesy line, wouldn't necessarily go over as well, as say, Ryan Gosling saying and doing the exact same thing.

Of course sexual harassment is sexual harassment.

There's also been a lot of discussion especially in conservative circles, criticising individuals on the left for promoting things like - Bad sex = rape. Regretful sex = rape. Flirtation = rape. See the accusation thread. But that's a different topic.

The whole world is full of pervs and pedophiles, just much more high profile when it's somebody famous.  Just find it weird when people call it out as "Hollywood," like the majority of them are in on it, rather than just a drop in the bucket.

I'm shocked given some of the stories throughout history that the WWE has managed to escape someone coming out. Although I do think this is a problem in every area of the States and not just Hollywood.

No doubt.  Just a bigger spotlight  since it involves famous people.  But shit it seems like it's everywhere.  Cosby, Weinstein, Affleck, lesser Affleck, Kevin Spacey, Bryan Singer.  Jared Fogle even though a far cry from hollywood star.  Sandusky and that whole mess at Penn State.  Also can't forget about the Catholic church. And we haven't even dove into star athletes. Hell even Donald Trump.  Not saying everybody on that list is 100% guilty of anything, I don't know but just saying  things don't look great.

Bit unfair to include Ben Affleck in that bunch of rapists and pedophiles(unless there's been more incidents I've missed), guy tweaked a boob twenty years ago, inappropriate to be sure, but fairly mundane as far obscenities go, many young guys and girls do stupid stuff like that at some point or another. Still, when you look at the entirety of the Hollywood roster, there's really only been an incredibly small sample of Cosby/Weinstein level stuff, mostly just nuisance level stuff like Batfleck that basically every city in the nation is guilty of...just they're not getting blasted across to millions because the general public really isn't interested in if Bob from accounting slapped Deborah on the ass at the office Christmas party.

There was no way all the famous people were gonna end up virtuous, and there was bound to be some at the very top (like Spacey), as they're just people...and people fucking suck. It's like linking pedophilia to homosexuality though, he might be gay, and an alleged pedophile, but that doesn't mean pedophilia is a gay thing; just like he might be a celebrity, but that doesn't make it a Hollywood thing...that's just downright disrespectful to the majority who've lived their lives well (enough, who cares about drugs or consensual sex?).

Yes, this stuff is wrong, however a lot of these stuff seems to be subjective depending on whether we like the person. Steven Tyler knocked up a 16 year old. Jerry Seinfeld had a 17 year old girlfriend.. Paul Walker at 33 was with a 16 year old..

vendrell,C'mon this is older than Polanski. This goes back to the beginning of the talkies.  Shirley temple and such.  The Hollywood casting couch is older than any of us.  Nothing new here. 


On a similar note, it is interesting no one has come out recently accusing Vince and the boys or the old pat Patterson.

Well, you can now throw Louis C.K. into the pile. Women have come forward, claiming that he masturbated in front of them.

HBO has already pulled all of his specials, and his Lucky Louie sitcom off of their streaming service. And as for FX, they're currently evaluating the situation. But I'm guessing they'll pull the plug on Louie, ane Better Things, which he co-created with Pamela Adlon.

May very well be more out there I didn't see.

I have to wonder, why after so many years in the case of Louis CK? 2002, 2003, 2005.. one lady " heard him " masterbating over the phone and has waited till nearly 2018 to say something.

You have to wonder if every awkward sexual encounter pre-superstar fame is going to kill the careers of future celebrities.

I'm sure we all have something that could bring any potential political or entertainment career down. It's just a matter of getting famous enough for someone to remember that one time at band camp moment and not remember it fondly.

He didn’t always ask if he could. Sometimes he just did it, per the allegations. But I still doubt this does much to him, but it coming out at the same time as this movie looks bad.

Well, Louis C.K. just admitted that those allegations are true. Looks like his career is done.

Somehow if this were the cast of Jackass this would seem expected. But under the guise of him asking I am lead to not believe this was all that depraved. It seems a bit more consensual.  Aside from the blocking of the door or exit.  Kinda like Adam Blampied's situation.

The Louis stuff is amongst the least surprising of it all , I remember listening to a podcasts a few years ago that said a lot of this. I think it was one with Jen Kirkman where she wouldn't "name" the comic but all but said Louis was a massive creeper.

This one I am very happy about. I am going to enjoy the shit out of this douchebags demise. Matt Lauer has been fired (as everyone may already know) for sexual harassment and all that good stuff. The best part is he had a button under his desk that locked the door so nobody could come in while he was fucking. Apparently, he was a pimp at it as he apparently fucked a lot of his employees. I always hated him and despised his inner douche that was so open everytime his face appeared on the screen. So happy to see this.

I'm OK with the likes of Lauer, Spacey and Weinstein, losing their jobs, women shouldn't have to worry about sexual harassment. Having said that, it's a joke that a man, with no less than sixteen women accusing him of sexual misconduct, sits in the oval office.

I guess it's Ok for Donald Trump to act like that, but fuck the likes of Lauer and Weinstein.
