Reviews are coming in for Death Stranding and surprise surprise, it's polarising. I haven't had a chance to deep dive, but from what I've gathered, the storyline has it's share of interesting moments but the base gameplay is incredibly uninspired for what this game is. I've heard people describe it as a delivery game, where you walk from one environment to another dropping off precious cargo rinse and repeat. I think we're about to see whether critics are just bias towards Kojima or if they're too close minded to appreciate a game that goes for something different. Either way, I went from thinking this may have been a generation defining game to something worth picking up for $20 down the road.
Shenmue III is my pick of the month. It's been 18 years since the last Shenmue game, and I'm curious to see how much time and modern trends in gaming affect Shenmue III. The original I and II were highly ambitious games that tried to shape where the industry was going and while they got a few things right, there are some areas that are terribly rigid. I'm curious to see if III makes those changes, or whether it takes a warts and all approach and is just more of the same with a brighter set of paint.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Pokemon Shield New Super Lucky's Tale
Out of the three games, Pokemon Shield is the one I'm looking forward to the most. Mario & Sonic could be decent fun, plus the soccer event is prob the closest I'll get to Mario Strikers on the Switch. As for New Super Lucky's Tale, I've played a bit here and there, on my nephew's X-Box so I'm looking forward to giving it a proper play through.
I also ordered A Hat in Time off of Amazon last month, so I should be getting that hopefully sooner rather than later.
