I am looking to talk about YouTube subscriptions. I am in the set of people who believe what you choose as entertainment does and doesn't help define you. So, in the notion of exposing myself to you I would like to share my current YouTube subscriptions with you for you to ridicule, mock and praise. Maybe you have some suggestions for me. Maybe you feel like sharing yours. I will cut out the musicians.
First We Feast - food shows, Hot Ones, Burger Show. I have gone to restaurants based on this network.
Great Big Story- learning stuff in short segments.
Binging With Babish- slightly comical cooking show. Just a couple weeks ago I went to a book signing.
WhatCulture- Pop culture clip show from the UK
Whatculture Wrestling - Top 10 lists of wrestling and where I keep up with most of my WWE happenings.
React- wife and I dig watching generations of people try not to laugh and such. Introduced me to Poppy and Babymetal. Both I saw in concert.
Donut Media- funny way to learn about cars.
The Ringer- the only long format thing I listen to on youtube. I am a big Chuck Klosterman fan.
GQ- some comical videos of celebs answering questions and I think I started watching 2Chainz most expensivest shit there.
Steven Crowder- short clips, somtimes comically presented that keep me up to date on the right.
Nerdwriter1- oh boy, this is a current favorite. Roughly 10 minute videos of incredibly passionate reviews and views of art, physics and culture and more.
FBE- same as React
Jubilee- I only really enjoy a show they have where they get 5-6 people and see how much they all think the same. Recently having 6 veterans on there totally warped my brain on how well supported vets are after service.
The Berrics- I am still a skater and this is my outlet to watch and follow online.
People Are Awesome- stupid human tricks.
Zefrank1- I assume most people know this. This is the funniest way to learn about animals.
Real Time With Bill Maher- similar to Steven Crowder for me but on the other side of the spectrum.
Cut- The crazy world of Seattle and polar personality and identity exposed while drinking and playing silly games.
Screen Junkies- The only thing I really watch here are the parody trailers called "Honest Trailers"
Origin Of Everything- Another great way to learn stuff 10 minutes at a time. True history, well researched and presented.
Dude Perfect- no real explanation. Stupid human tricks #2
This is 42.- Odd debates and Dilemma Podcast.
Vice, Vice News, Viceland- News of culture. Tattoos, Drugs, military militias and more.
Conde Nast Traveler- people from each of the 50 states talking about stereotypes.
Freedom Toons- Right wing animation in few minutes. Comical and understands that it is it's own joke.
Really Graceful- fun conspiracy theory shit.
You Suck At Cooking- fucking hilarious cooking show. Not even really about cooking. But sort of. I have made a couple recipes from this channel.
Foundation For Economic Education- Same as Freedom Toons but more serious.
Awaken With JP- comical sarcastic videos that mock people and himself. Not taking himself too seriously I believe.
Nicole Arbour- well, she used to be funny and witty commentary, not so much anymore.
Attache' - Lightweight and fun travel show. Anthony Bourdain superlight.
Edwin's Generation- teen pop culture info. I kinda like tuning into what some the kids are into.

In all actuality, it is normally less than an hour a day worth of content. Most of them do not pump out on the daily. Lots of them are 10 minute clips or less once per week. And it's not like I watch every single clip produced.
My day job is not too time consuming at all. But I tend to listen to longer stuff at work. Podcasts for the most part.

I don't really subscribe to anything. I just let my usual viewing habits dictate what is given to me in the algorithm. Used to have a lot of anti-SJW/Feminist PWNED/MGTOW content, but now it's mostly food reviews, roller coaster/theme park blogs, and the daily Paternity Court updates LMAO. I use Youtube a lot when I'm at the house. Other than streaming actual shows through Netflix or network websites if it's normal cable shows, it's my background noise in the house.
Like I'll put something long in the background when I go to sleep for that white noise. Usually stand-up shows or documentaries/movies that get uploaded. Can recite Supersize Me start to finish...

I may not follow the channel but I have seen them in concert twice. Saw Puddles The Clown in concert and Morgan James in concert who has done a few songs with them.

I'm subscribed to a handful of channels...
React/FBE - Cause it's usually funny. BeatEmUps - Watch his videos for a lot of gaming reviews. Pokegirl7 - Mostly Pokemon Go content. Screen Junkies - Honest Trailers Cinema Sins - Everything Wrong With Alex Meyers (Insert Movie/TV Show) Doesn't Make Sense
I don't really think much else beyond that.

- Wrestling w/Wregret (W3): Brian Zane has experience in some indy promotions as a real life manager. Recaps, reviews and nostalgia-fueled content with occasional comedy sketches (Cornette even shows up to knockout a faux Russo).
- Cultaholic: I'm here strictly for Adam Pacitti. Pacitti Club 4-lyfe.
- Nexpo: Does deep dives into internet mysteries ranging from weird Youtube content, to Reddit posts and internet ARG's.
- GMM: Jeff mentioned it earlier. It's been a favorite for years. Me and the gf binge watch their content every now and then.
- RadioTTS: I avoid all other robot-voice channels, but a robotic voice reading entries from r/Confessions on Reddit has become a recent guilty pleasure.
- UrinatingTree: Sports parody channel. If your favorite team is a laughing stock they're almost guaranteed to have a "lolcow" video. Bipartisan shit-stirring..
Several others but these are the big ones that I devote time to following.

Way too many to go through specific channels, but I have, in the last year, gotten much more invested in LeftTube and pop culture analysis channels.

Gonna split my subscriptions into category type. I don't really keep up with any of these, but I generally go through phases where I'll binge a particular channel for a while.
Humour Casually Explained - Humorous cartoon shorts. Internet Comment Etiquette - Pokes fun at meme/internet culture. Jonathan Pie - Comedian who creates fake satirical news broadcasts on British Politics. David Mitchell's Soapbox - Observational comedy vlog from a popular British comedian/actor. Channel is no longer active. CinemaSins - Ruins every movie I've ever loved by humorously pointing out plot holes, and flaws, and generally being completely unreasonable to poor screenwriters.
Wrestling ClassicsPuro83 - What it says on the tin. Roy Lucier - Rare TV tapings of AJPW shows.
Information Vsauce - Discusses the weird and surreal corners of science in a palatable and clear manner. Singingbanana - Channel of one of my former mathematics lecturers at university, covering some of the more fun aspects of maths. Numberphile - A more professional version of the above. Multiple contributors, mainly mathematicians at British universities. Singingbanana has done a few of these videos, but he's not a main contributor. Computerphile - The computer science versin of the above. A lot drier than Numberphile, partially due to the content, but also due to the presenter. TED - Everyone knows what TED is, right?
Video Games Games Done Quick - YouTube channel of popular charity speedrunning events, primarily Awesome Games Done Quick and Summer Games Done Quick. Essentially speedrunning with commentary in front of a live audience. Continue? - Retro gaming channel. I watch them for their Let's Plays of classic RPGs. Snoman Gaming/ClanOfTheGrayWolf - Don't really remember what these two channels are about. Probably saw a couple of awesome videos a while back, subscribed, and forgot about them.
Music Metalovision - Spanish language metal vlog. The content isn't great but the presenters are entertaining and charismatic. I mainly use it to practice my Spanish listening skills. They speak very quickly. Lost In Vegas - Two hip hop guys reacting to music. They got a lot of people's attention when they started reacting to heavy metal songs a year or two ago. Their honest, open-minded, and thorough reactions are awesome. Have spawned some of copycat channels. Recently quit their jobs to do YouTube full time. Good for them.
Chess I'm subscribed to at least five chess channels but nobody will care so I'll save the effort of typing them out.

Steve Dangle - Toronto Maple Leafs fan who started reviewing every game 13 years ago and still does, only now he works for Sportsnet and has a pretty popular hockey podcast as well. First We Feast - I only watch Hot Ones. videogamedunkey - most of his videos are hilarious. Binging with Babish - sexy voice man make good food. How to BBQ Right - I don't know why I subscribed to this channel I was just looking for BBQ tips in the summer. His videos are pretty good though. Gus Johnson - because he's funny most of the time. Some More News - Cody Johnston is fucking hilarious. PayMoneyWubby - He only posts like two videos a month so its easy to keep up. I don't watch his twitch stream, which is what he's famous for. Joe Rogan Podcast - I don't really watch him, I listen to his podcast when I'm driving. Not sure why I subscribed. Ozzy Man Reviews - subscribed for his Game of Thrones reviews and just stuck around. Rarely watch his videos. Seth Everman - His two videos a year are pure gold. ProZD - used to always watch his videos when they were short and funny but he's too famous now and all his videos are sponsored and he's shifted away from comedy to voice work, unboxing videos and table top games. Alt Shift X - same reason. Game of Thrones deep dives. Rarely releases videos but when he does they're awesome. Nardwuar The Human Serviette - ultra famous Canadian interviewer. Gets all the celebs that no one else can. Jonathan Pie - funny videos about politics. UpUpDownDown - I subscribed to get Triple H on the show. It was disappointing. Gordon Ramsey - food JablinskiGames - When I heard Jack Black had a YouTube channel I subscribed right away, but his videos are mostly him fucking around with his family and I haven't bothered in a while. Not very interesting. Kurzgesagt - super informative fun cartoons. Ryan Sim - buddy of mine that is an aspiring comedian. Space X - because space AFTV - Arsenal Fan TV. Funny takes from Arsenal fans. Videos are only any good after they lose though. ... Those are the only ones I watch regularly. Like theend said, videos aren't posted daily and are usually short, so it looks like a lot more content than it is. I also don't check everything I'm subscribed to every day. I usually scroll through my feed when I'm bored at work and just watch whatever jumps out at me. There's only a few of these that I watch every time they post. I'm also subscribed to maybe a dozen more channels but they're all garbage and I'm literally unsubscribing as we speak because I don't even know why I subbed to them in the first place.
