As usual, it's a rather quiet month to round the year out. All the big hitters are all released around October/November to weed their way onto Christmas lists and what you're left with are usually small independant releases or ports of popular games. For instance, SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambitions is a souped up version of a 2016 PS Vita game that's finally making it's way out west. Similarly Star Ocean is a remake of the late SNES release.
The featured game of the month is Arise: A Simple Story. It's an Epic Store Exclusive similar in tone to games such as Journey where you explore these vast landscapes and the game is trying to evoke a sense of atmosphere. Of all the games it made the biggest impression on me.
Since we're in the festive season, if there was one game right now you'd like to receive as a gift, what would it be? I'm somebody who enjoys the process of buying gifts more than receiving them, but typically if I do receive a gift, I'd like to receive something left of field. So something like Call of Duty Modern Warfare would be interesting because I enjoy the FPS genre, but I've never played through a CoD game before.
How about you guys? Is there a game you'd be happy to add to your collection, an accessory or some merch you'd be more than happy to receive from your loved ones?

Nothing for me this month, PS4 version of Darksiders: Genesis doesn't hit until February. Actually works out nicely, finally cleared my DVR box from my 3 weeks away, so I got all of December and most of January for Death Stranding, Outer Worlds, and Shenmue 3. Starting Death Stranding up on Monday.

Nothing this month, which is fine, as I've been meaning to buy another pair of Joy-cons. Besides, with Nintendo dropping new (well old) games on the NES/SNES apps next week, I'll be more then busy playing Breath of Fire II, Crystalis, and Journey to Silius, throughout December anyways.
