Somebody book another Ultimate Survivor style show! I always loved that concept that they went with in the 1990 Survivor Series, I may try to rebook another on in another year at some point during the month. Feel free to book your own Survivor Series, any year, any style or whatever the hell you want to do.

This gives me an excuse to repost my 1995 fan fic Survivor Series card and the 1996 card I never quite got to. 1995
Champions
WWF- Diesel (Since Royal Rumble '95) IC- Razor (Since IYH October '95) Tag- Camp Cornette (Owen/Yoko/Bulldog under "Demolition Rules" since IYH July '95) 1. Underdogs (Horowitz [c]/Hakushi/Aldo/Marty) vs. Bodydonnas (Skip [c]/Radford/Mabel/Avatar)Avatar was a "Japanese" heel in my rebook brought in by Skip to neutralize Hakushi. Mabel didn't win KOTR in this universe and was pissed at being upset by Hakushi so he strong armed his way onto Skip's team. Skip & Sunny were just forced to deal with him and his non-Bodydonna-esque waistline because who the hell is going to say "no" to a pissed off 568 pounder on the warpath? Good guys win with either Barry, Hakushi, or both surviving. Can't remember for sure.442. Blue Bloods (Helmsley [c]/Lawler/Black Knight/Jeeves) vs. Blue Collar (HOG [c]/Holly/Fatu/Dumpster)Black Knight is Glen Jacobs as "The King's Champion" and not a stupid dentist. Jeeves is Dr. Tom Prichard as Helmsley's butler. HHH eliminates all 4 members of Blue Collar with Godwinn coming last (via cheating of course) to be the sole survivor.3. Goldust vs. Bam Bam BigelowSame as real life. Goldust wins. Bam Bam leaves.4. Million Dollar Merger (Sid/Kid/Douglas/Mr. Backlund) vs. Bad Guys (Razor [c]/Savio/Smoking Gunns)
Million Dollar Merger was one of my favorite ideas. Douglas had a heel stable called "The Honor Society" w/ Kid (called the Graduate Student) & Mr. Backlund. Dibiase's Corporation was down to just Sid. So they had a financial "merger" here and Dibiase bought Kid's contract out for good the next night on Raw to form the Kid & Sid team. Kid was now called the "Million Dollar Kid." Kid's identity crisis was another one of my favorite storyline. Anyway, Kid & Sid are the survivors here.5. Dream Team (HBK/Undertaker/Ahmed) vs. Camp Cornette (Bulldog/Owen/Yokozuna)
HBK & Ahmed survive. It comes down to those 2 vs. Bulldog. Bulldog was rarin' to go but all three other members of Camp Cornette held him back, causing a countout, to 'protect' him for his upcoming IYH December title shot against the winner of Diesel/Bret. Taker was eliminated when he fled the ring to attack Waylon Mercy, who had jumped Paul Bearer. Bringing Mercy in a few months later than his real life run was one of the few liberties I took in this project.6. Bret Hart vs. Diesel (WWF Championship Match)Just like in real life.*I actually was going to do an "Ultimate Survivor" straight tag match (without elimination rules) on the next week's Raw or Superstars with HBK/Ahmed/Hakushi or Horowitz vs. Helmsley/Sid/Kid. I think it was even announced, but then HBK collapsed against Owen on the post-Survivor Series Raw, and the match was scrapped.1996*I never got this far in my fan fic project. Think I stopped in April '96. But I had it all planned out.
Champions
WWF- Vader (since Summerslam '96) IC- Hunter Hearst Helmsley (since either Summerslam '96 or IYH October '96- Wasn't written in stone) Tag- Camp Cornette (Owen & Bulldog since IYH September '96)
1. Furnas & LaFon/Godwinns/Smoking Gunns vs. Owen & Bulldog/New Rockers/New Blackjacks
Furnas & LaFon debut and dominate to be the sole survivors, just like in real life. I started the New Blackjacks early for tag depth and because Blackjack Windham is slightly less terrible than the stupid Stalker (we're talking a 2/10 vs. a 1/10 here). Gunns are having dissension since losing to Camp Cornette on back to back ppv's at IYH September & October. That continues here. Marty still gets hurt and this marks the end of the New Rockers, but they fared much better in this universe, having a 3 or 4 month tag title run earlier in the year.
2. The Future (Yokozuna [c]/2 Cold Scorpio/Rocky Maivia/M. Henry) vs. "Diesel"/"Razor"/"Double J"/"The Kid"
OK, so "The Fakes" were one of the things I was most excited for in this whole project. I was planning on going all in...doubling and tripling down on what the real WWF did. Like half the words I wrote for a Raw from September-November were going to be devoted to "The Fakes." They were gonna be a big time pet project a la Romeo, Goldust, The Dean, Jean Pierre Lafitte, and, weirdly, The Kid. Double J was Jesse Jammes/The Roadie. Fake Kid was gonna be Steve Corino. I wasn't sure about the name and was probably going to consult 🤯 for his thoughts. I was considering all sorts of conspiracy theory-ish stuff- Illuminati, Stonecutters*, The Cathedral, The Brotherhood, The Establishment, etc.....or NWO knockoff stuff- The Insiders, The Invasion, NOW (New Organization of Wrestling), NWO (New World Organization), OWN, etc. They were gonna roughshod over the promotion for two months (even costing Undertaker his Buried Alive match vs. Mankind!). This would mark the beginning of their downfall....
Yoko gets one last big storyline as the veteran conscience of WWF. He recruits all these young guys as "The Future" to save WWF from the evil invaders. He goes out early (and is gone for good soon after) while the debuting Scorpio & Rocky save the day. Scorpio was going to get a bigger push in this universe (but still not that huge) while I didn't really have any big plans for early Rocky, and was even contemplating scrapping his first IC title run entirely.
*I even wrote a Stonecutters knockoff song at some point. The choicest lyrics....
Who made Shawn Michaels.... A star? We did We did WE DID!
Who keeps Cruiserweight.... Wrestling down? We do! We do! WE DO!
3. Goldust/Helmsley/Faarooq/Sincere/Crush vs. Sid/Mero/Jake/Savio/Fatu
All these guys except Sid were either in feuds, or had feuded- Faarooq & Crush vs. Savio & Fatu as "The Friends of Ahmed." Mero vs. creepy Sal Sincere over Sable was a big feud I had planned for the fall. Goldust & Helmsley had wrestled all the faces save Sid on PPV at some point in this project. The roster is honestly pretty thin by this point, and 1996 really was the year the classic Survivor Series format started to seem obsolete. Anyway, Goldust is the sole survivor last eliminating Sid via shenanigans to build him for something AMAZING (and PI-approved) the next night on Raw.
4. Undertaker vs. Mankind
Taker FINALLY gets his win over his nemesis Mankind after 3 PPV losses. This will be longer & better than their real life match, which I remember being a big disappointment, and will put this feud to rest....for a few months, anyway.
5. Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin
Same as real life. For the 2nd year in a row, I'm not changing Bret Survivor Series perfection.
6. Shawn Michaels vs. Vader
Shawn gets his belt back in an all out war of a MOTYC. Unfortunately, this leaves him susceptible the next night on Raw to....
We're outta time! Gotta go! See ya next week!

I've always wanted to rebook early 90's WWF with a "What if the drama of the steroid trial never effected WWF" stipulation, one of the big ideas would be a massive 5 vs 5 Survivor Series elimination match for the main event of Survivor Series 92 with the babyface team of LOD, Savage, Warrior, and Hogan taking on a super-team of heels with Flair, Sid and I never decided on who the other 3 guys would be. Savage, Hogan, Warrior, and LOD together on the same team should have happened at some point though.

Fuck, it better be a Goldust/HBK feud!!!
Names for the Fakes? I liked Insiders and NOW/OWN to be honest.
God, I miss your fan fiction.

For your missing 3 heels, I say either Money, Inc. and Perfect in Perfect's surprise return to the ring... Or the Five Horsemen (WWF's version of the Four Horsemen) with Perfect, Shawn, and Razor.

Fuck, it better be a Goldust/HBK feud!!! Names for the Fakes? I liked Insiders and NOW/OWN to be honest. God, I miss your fan fiction. Screw it. Not like I'm ever getting that far. With Razor long gone, and Ahmed having violently rejected his advances, Goldust becomes obsessed with Shawn & his Playgirl shoot as HBK becomes the new object of his desires. HBK, more concerned with getting his belt back from Vader, ignores Goldust as best he can. It's also sort of a low key thing at first. Goldie will talk more about his upcoming PPV opponents (Savio in September & Jake in October, I think) with only the occasional throwaway line about Michaels. Goldie also wins either a small contenders tournament (the Savio match being the final) or a contenders battle royal. But Vader is the champ. Goldust wants nothing to do with Vader. For starters, he's a fellow heel. Secondly, he's downright beastly! Not Goldust's type.... HBK gets the belt back from Vader at Survivor Series in an all out war. We're talking blood, table breaks, the whole nine yards. He comes out battered & bruised for his big victory celebration the next night on Raw when.... BAM! Goldust finally confronts him face to face. He wants his title match RIGHT NOW. HBK initially declines. He wants nothing to do with Goldust. Plus he really is in a bad state after his war with Vader the previous night. Hell, I'll even bring out a doctor (Tom, perhaps?) saying HBK isn't fit to wrestle. But Goldust keeps needling him....questioning his manhood...stuff like that. Goldie finally pushes Michaels too far and HBK accepts. Goldust wins the belt from an injured Michaels by cheating which sets up the next few months. HBK gets it back at Royal Rumble '97 in his hometown of San Antonio. The Goldust/Michaels feud was the other thing I REALLY wanted to get too. Here's basically my take on this whole project.... November 94-January 95: The Owen/Backlund/Anvil MORAL MAJORITY stuff was fun. Everything else was meh. January-Mayish: Boring, which is why I sped through this period. May-July: Still boring aside from JPL & Shango (which I'm not even THAT crazy about in hindsight), Aldo Montoya: 16th Century Portuguese explorer prattling on about mizzenmasts & the Kingdom of Prester John, and Hunter Hearst Helmsley July 95-March 96: AMAZING. Everything is clicking. Goldust, The Dean, JPL, Kid, Camp Cornette, Horowitz, Hakushi, Avatar, HOG vs. HHH, Mercy/Brother Isaac, etc. April 96-September 96: Boring again. There's a reason I stopped writing. I ran out of material/motivation to research for Goldust and The New Rockers alone cannot carry a promotion for 5 months. Plus I found New Generation Wrestling much more fun. September 96-.....- The Fakes & Goldust/Michaels were going to make this great again. The Mero/Sincere feud was also something I was looking forward to. Edit: Another idea I had (but probably wasn't going to use) was to just blow the whole thing up around July and run WWF vs. WCW. There were two options here- Straight WWF vs. WCW w/ the NWO as wild cards OR The NWO is "real" in the sense that they really are WWF invaders sent by Vince to destroy WCW. In this scenario, it's WWF + NWO vs. a babyface WCW. Oh, and OF COURSE Jeff Jarrett is NWO in this scenario

Since I tossed out an idea in the Survivor Series thread, I'll expand on it.
Survivor Series 2011
The Rock & CM Punk vs. John Cena & Triple H
The biggest problem with the show is that fans didn't want to see Cena & The Rock team up. They were polar opposites and fans bought into these guys actively disliking one another. Since Cena/Rock was off the table, the next best thing would be to do a tag team match. In order to justify this as the main event, you've really got to go hard and put together a match fans wouldn't expect to see ergo Rock/Punk & Cena/HHH. The amount of tension and drama you could build up to the match would be insane and by bringing Punk up to that level, you're giving The Rock some of that indy cred, while also giving Punk a rub in the process. The Rock & Punk go over, Diesel can be involved to save face for Cena/HHH and the fans get a fun dream match.
World Heavyweight Championship Match Sin Cara (w/Rey Mysterio & Tito Santana) vs Mark Henry (c)
You need a Heavyweight Championship match on a major card like this, and something that sticks out from the norm. Mistico was a huge signing for the WWE at the time and even though both parties managed to ruin his time in the WWE, he had a ton of potential. Cara would be pushed hard from the out-set and while he would fall short on occasion, there would always be some effort to protect his credibility. Heading into this match, Sin Cara would beat The Big Show and Randy Orton in a triple threat to qualify and he would be paraded as the greatest star in Mexico, a gimmick that would insult Del Rio leading into a Wrestlemania program.
The A-Pex Predators (Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Tyson Kidd & Richie Steamboat) vs. The Cabal (Cody Rhodes, Alberto Del Rio, Mason Ryan & Jinder Mahal)
One of the biggest disappointments in modern wrestling is the dilution of classic Survivor Series teams. As silly as the concept is, there's an appeal to watching a bunch of dream teams and can lead to some interesting storylines. The other side effect is that it can give guys a break and lead to future feuds. That's what I'm hoping for in Richie Steamboat who had his career cut short due to an ongoing back problem. In this alternative universe, I'm going to book him in a tag team with Tyson Kidd where it's this mentor/rookie dynamic and the guys make a fine fist of the tag team division. On the other side of the coin, Cody Rhodes was at the height of his career doing this Dr. Doom parody so I thought it would be best to go all out. I've paired him with Del Rio who was a great heel and two big hosses who Kidd/Steamboat can bump for before inevitably beating. Rhodes would eliminate Orton, but would ultimately get topped by Daniel Bryan who is getting ready for his World Championship run.
The Show-Stoppers (The Big Show, Alex Riley, Evan Bourne & Kofi Kingston) vs. Barrett & Christian (or is it Christian & Barrett?) Enterprises (Wade Barrett, Christian, Drew McIntyre & Hunico)
I remember in the lead up to the 2010 Survivor Series, they had the Big Show do guest commentary on Smackdown in the guise of a scouting mission. Big Show was an amazing team captain and did an awesome job of putting guys over and I expect the Big Show to carry that on here. Unlike the other match where I want the babyfaces to go over, this could go either way and would really depend on what I wanted to do moving forward.
Kevin Nash (w/The Miz & R-Truth) vs. Sheamus
The WWE was in the midst of trying to push Sheamus, but he was run was so by the numbers that fans had little interest in what he was doing. So by putting him with a guy like Nash who was being pushed like a star, the thought is that he's in that conversation without being pushed down the throats of the fans. Nash would go over, but there would be enough smoke and mirrors to make Sheamus look strong.
Riders on the Storm (John Morrison, Justin Gabriel, Trent Barretta & Zack Ryder) vs. Cobra Kai (Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, Curtis Axel & Heath Slater)
Shameless team names, but you get the general gist of what I'm going for. Some of you may not know or remember this, but Ryder's gimmick debuted on The Miz & Morrison show back in 2008/09, so there's the link there. The heels would go over after Ziggler derails Ryder's hope spot. Somehow Ryder would end up standing tall, leading to a US Championship match at TLC.
Divas Championship Match Eve Torres vs. Beth Phoenix
Phoenix was great in the role she was in and I don't see any reason to change this match.
Dead or Alive (Derrick Bateman, Santino Marella, Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Sgt Slaughter) vs. The Nightriders (Johnny Curtis, Tyler Reks & The Usos)
NXT at the time was nothing like it is today. By this point in time, NXT was like a third brand, except it seemed unsupervised and they just let the inmates run the asylum. The two biggest stars of the show were Derrick Bateman (aka Ethan Carter III) and Johnny Curtis (aka Fandango) and the pair had a ball working all these over the top soap opera esque angles you would later see on shows like Lucha Underground. So to get the show off to a fun start and for something a little different, I'd put this on as a quick opening match that wouldn't last longer than 5 minutes with Bateman's patriotic gimmick going over.

The Ultimate Survivor is not an idea I like. 1) People that go over earlier in the night have to then job. 2) The teams being face vs. heel is a bit contrived. Standard teams being face and heel makes sense as the good and bad guys want to team up with each other. But why, in kayfabe, would the administration of the WWF put the faces and the heels together and in the case of 1990, in unbalanced teams of 3 against 5. If we look at 1990, you have The Visionaries going over strong as a team with all surviving. Four guys getting shined up during this period. Martel is really getting his Model character going and involved with Jake. Power & Glory getting a nice push as a newish team. Warlord is slowly being built up. Warrior has already gone over Perfect and Ax. Hogan has already gone over Barbarian and Bravo (with Quake and Tugboat doing a double CO to keep Quake strong for more house shows with Hogan). But instead you have Tito eliminating Warlord, Tito being eliminated by DiBiase, then Power & Glory's cool new finisher no-sold by Hogan and DiBiase put back in his place by Hogan. Making it all the worse is the way it all makes new champion Warrior (already struggling as champ after being given a rehash feud while Hogan got the new hot heel Quake) look like Hogan's little mate. I'd never really thought of this potential combo, but that would've been an unsurpassable Survivor Series team really - THE MEGA WARRIORS.

I think it was Bruce Prichard who just assumed "Ultimate Survivor" meant a Battle Royal with the winners, where there would truly only be one "Ultimate Survivor," and when they explained what it really was, he thought it was a rib. A Battle Royal would be a much more delicate jobbing of the previous winners, but even that is still stupid with The Royal Rumble next.

Survivor Series 2001: Monday Night Wars Blowoff
Cruiserweight All Stars (Rey Mysterio, Kidman, Juventud Guerrera, Ultimo Dragon & Chavo Guerrero) vs. Vanilla Midgets (Jericho, Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Malenko & Saturn) The Vanilla Midgets win as Jericho/Benoit/Eddie are just too good.
WCW Hardcore Division (Terry Funk, Bam Bam Bigelow, Shane Douglas, Mike Awesome & Crowbar) vs. WWF Hardcore Champions (Mankind, Raven, Tazz, Hardcore Holly & Al Snow) EXTREME RULES Funk takes out Raven and Tazz so only he and Foley remain. Foley beats his hero. Again. WWF up 2-0.
WCW Tag Teams (Steiner Bros., Harlem Heat, Three Count, Jindrak & O'Haire) vs. WWF Tag Teams (Dudley Boyz, APA, Hardy Boyz, Edge & Christian) After some fun high flying from Three Count (Helms and Moore variety) and the Hardy Boyz/Edge & Christian, Scott Steiner and Booker T. of WCW are just a cut above the rest of the participants. Scott Steiner makes Bradshaw cry, bullying the bully, and beating him down like it's the last act of the Passion of the Christ. WCW now on the board. 2-1 WWF.
Team nWo (Hogan, Savage, Hall, Nash & Hennig) vs. Team DX (Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn & X-Pac) Shawn Michaels return, who doesn't do much. As Road Dogg is doing his awful spiel, Nash gives him a big boot, powerbombs him, demands the bell be rung, and eliminates him like he's an even shittier Bob Backlund. nWo fucking romp these wannabes. Macho shows Michaels what a real elbow drop looks like. Billy Gunn eats a fucking Perfect Plex, Hall gives Pac the Razor's Edge he's had coming for years, and Triple H gets the honor of being leg dropped by the WWF GOAT. 2-2.
Team WCW (Flair, Sting, Goldberg, DDP & Lex Luger) vs. Team WWF (Austin, The Rock, Undertaker, Big Show & Kurt Angle) All the marbles would be on the line for this match, whatever that would be (the rights to Smackdown?). After various eliminations, Goldberg vs. Austin & Rock is what remains. Goldberg pins Austin clean(!), then Goldberg vs. Rock is what remains. Just before they lock up, Vince's music hits, and he walks down the aisle. He whispers something to referee, Earl Hebner. Rock and Goldberg do their thing. After some Vince interference, Goldberg is now knocked out, and Rock looks to put an unconscious Goldberg is a Sharpshooter for symbolic purposes. He's got the legs locked, but before he turns it over, Bret Hart emerges from the crowd wearing a MONTREAL CANADIENS jersey. Vince literally pisses his pants. Bret punches him out like it's 1997. Earl Hebner looks like he's seen a ghost. Bret Hart rolls in the ring. Earl retreats to the opposite corner. Rock releases the Sharpshooter and stands between Bret and Earl. Bret gives him the step aside hand gesture. Rock nods his head, and does so. Bret then punches Earl Hebner out, who takes a bump all the way to the floor. Bret and Rock staredown each other. Bret gives Rock the "look behind you" signal. Rock doesn't flinch. Bret does it again, like seriously, look behind you, stupid. Goldberg has risen. Rock turns around and takes a vicious spear from Goldberg. Bret Hart takes off his hockey jersey, revealing a WCW Referee shirt (Bret became a certified WCW Ref for Starrcade '97!). Goldberg smiles, and lifts Rock up for a vertical suplex. He turns it over for a jackhammer. Bret counts. WCW wins. Four years later, Bret gets his revenge at Survivor Series.

And now for something completely different....
WCW Presents Survivor Series
November 1993
1. Erik Watts (c)/Johnny B. Badd/Shockmaster/Chief Charlie Norris vs. Bobby Eaton(c)/Equalizer/Awesome Kongs
Watts leads his team of youngsters and noobs against Bobby Eaton's collection of randoms. Badd is the sole survivor since he always seemed to be all over WCW tv. Sole Survivor: Johnny B. Badd
2. Ron Simmons (c)/Ice Train/2 Cold Scorpio/Marcus Bagwell vs. Nasty Boys (c) & Harlem Heat
Nastys & Heat have some early success by eliminating Bagwell but miscommunication leads to an inability to get along, foreshadowing their future. The faces then go on a hot streak marred only by Simmons being eliminated after accidentally bumping into Ice Train because apparently miscommunication & foreshadowing are what this match is all about. It ends a short time later with the hot young babyfaces Scorp & Train standing tall. Survivors: Scorpio & Ice Train
3. Ricky Steamboat (c)/Cactus Jack/Maxx Payne/Davey Boy Smith vs. Steven Regal (c)/Paul Orndorff/Tex Slazenger/Shanghai Pierce
I'd have been all over this in real time 1993. His Lordship had been feuding with Steamboat & Bulldog. Orndorff was a natural enough Regal partner. But then "The Dragon" threw a curveball by recruiting Cactus & Payne to his team. Regal then had to swallow his pride and recruit those "vulgar" Texicans as his best bet to counter the lunacy of Cactus & Maxx. Regal eliminates Bulldog early since Davey is on his way out. Tex is out next courtesy of Steamboat. Regal cheats to eliminate Payne a short time later. After a few minutes of 2 on 2 action, Cactus ends Shanghai's night with the double arm DDT. Faced with a one on two disadvantage, His Lordship naturally walks out, choosing to take the countout loss so he can live to fight another day. Survivors: Ricky Steamboat & Cactus Jack
4. Road Warrior Hawk vs. Rip Rogers
Squash city as the recently returned Hawk wastes the loudmouth jobber in a minute. Winner: Hawk
5. Ric Flair (c)/Sting/Dustin Rhodes/Brian Pillman vs. Vader (c)/Rick Rude/Steve Austin/Paul Roma
Roma is a late addition to Vader's squad having just left the Horsemen. He shares inside information on Flair with his teammates while Rude & Austin stir the pot by correctly pointing out how Flair has had issues with all three members of his team and cannot to be trusted. Roma is out early because he's Paul Roma. Pillman & Austin are counted out when they cannot stop brawling on the floor. Rude pins Dustin with a Rude Awakening. Flair takes out Rude seconds later with an inside cradle to win that feud. Vader then wastes Flair, pinning him cleanly. It comes down to Vader & Sting. After five minutes of quality action, Vader pins The Stinger clean to become the sole survivor. Sole Survivor: Vader
*I'm not too bothered about ending this show with a heel victory since it had been 4 straight babyface wins up to that point. This also makes Vader look unstoppable going into Starrcade.

*All the WWF Survivor Series cards I care about are fine the way they are. Well, I did try tinkering with 1993 but couldn't make it work. I like the idea of coming up with Survivor Series cards for other promotions. To continue what I started with 1993 WCW....
ECW Survivor Series- November 1996
*This show takes place the night before November To Remember, creating ECW's greatest double shot.
1. Bubba Ray Dudley/Mikey Whipwreck/Spike Dudley/Louie Spicolli vs. D-Von Dudley/Axl Rotten/Chris Candido/Devon Storm
Storm is eliminated first by Mikey. Spike goes next courtesy of D-Von. Bubba Ray then ends Axl's night before brawling to the back with D-Von, eliminating both Dudleys. Candido pins Mikey leaving Candido vs. Louie. After a few minutes of solid back and forth action, the recently-returned Candido cheats to pin Spicolli to a chorus of boos.
Sole Survivor- Chris Candido
2. Hack Myers vs. David Tyler Morton Jericho
The returning Hack Myers wins a pretty lousy 5 minute match over the newcomer. Post-match sees Taz wreck "The Shah" and grab the mic to call out Sabu. Instead of Sabu, he gets Scorpio. They have a war of words which leads to our next match.
3. Too Cold Scorpio vs. Taz
Crowd is all over Scorpio with "Flash Funk" and "You Sold Out" chants. Taz picks up another clean win in a fast-paced, action packed 5 minute match.
4. Sabu/RVD/Gangstas vs. Eliminators & FBI
I'm not thrilled about this match but it is what it is. FBI is out first via the Gangstas because they're clearly in over their heads. The Eliminators come back to....eliminate both Gangstas in quick succession after miscommunication leads to conflict between the Gangstas and their partners. RVD takes out Kronus. Saturn responds by pinning RVD. And finally Sabu pins Saturn after a few minutes of solid back and forth action to become the sole survivor.
Sole Survivor- Sabu
*We cut backstage where practically the entire locker room is holding back Taz, who vows to make Sabu finally confront him "very, very soon."
5. Terry Funk/Tommy Dreamer/Sandman/Pitbull #2 vs. Raven/Shane Douglas/Stevie Richards/Brian Lee
We go over 10 minutes before our first elimination- Dreamer courtesy of Lee. The returning Funk then pins Lee with a DDT. Pitbull #2 gets a huge pop for pinning "The Franchise." But Douglas sticks around to deliver a cheap shot, leaving #2 open to a Raven DDT, which eliminates the Pitbull. Raven earns more wrath than ever from the crowd by pinning their hero, Terry Funk with a low blow + DDT. Sandman is now the last hope for the good guys. But he does have one friend left- The Singapore Cane! He goes to town, whacking his nemeses- Raven & Richards. And one of those shots is enough to pin Raven! But Stevie immediately responds. BAM! Stevie Kick! 1-2- 3?!?! Stevie has just pinned The Sandman to become the sole survivor in a match chock full of ECW legends! Even Stevie cannot believe it. Meanwhile, Stevie's boss, Raven, seems strangely unhappy at seeing his protege pin his arch-rival....
Sole Survivor- Stevie Richards

This would make no sense in the context of television at the time time, but this main event looks good written on a message board.
WCW Survivor Series 1998
Rock & Wrestling: Hulk Hogan/Randy Savage/The Warrior/Roddy Piper
vs.
The New Generation: Bret Hart/Kevin Nash/Scott Hall/Lex Luger

So it's a slow Friday so far at work, and I certainly don't feel like getting into anything serious, so instead I'll play around with a few little what-if scenarios.
First, what if 2002 and 2003 were interbrand RAW vs. SAD!-themed shows?
(Sorry for no formatting... Still can't figure out how to do it from the mobile skin.)
***
2002
Team RAW (Bradshaw, Bubba Ray, Spike, Jeff Hardy, and Tommy Dreamer) vs. Team SD! (Matt Hardy, Shannon Moore, Reverend D-Von, Ron Simmons, and John Cena)
This gets a "classic" Survivor Series elimination match on the card, and showcases a handful of the guys WWE was trying to get over as singles talent. It also conveniently pits faces from RAW against heels from SD!. Dreamer gets a nice hometown hero pop in NYC, but the biggest pop comes when maybe the Dudley Boyz or APA, or perhaps both teams, reunite to either trounce the other heels or perhaps turn back outside interference from 3-Minute Warning. Not sure whether to have this end in a no contest because of those reunions, or have Matt be the sole survivor to give V1 some momentum and obnoxious bragging rights.
Team RAW (Rico, 3-Minute Warning, William Regal, and Christopher Nowinski) vs. Team SD! (Rikishi, Billy, Chuck, Billy Kidman, and Tajiri)
Another "classic" Survivor Series elimination match on the card, but this time pitting SD! faces against RAW heels. Gets a lot of my guilty pleasures (namely Rico and 3-Minute Warning) a PPV payday. This might necessitate dragging out the Billy & Chuck angle. Or perhaps in this universe you go all-in and don't have them do the whole "it was a publicity stunt!" cold feet reveal. I also liked Regal and Nowinski as a pair of snobs more than I liked Regal in the Un-Americans, so that's why they're here. To keep the results balanced, and because I was and still am a fucking mark for 3MW, Team RAW emerges victorious here. High spots include Kidman getting eliminated after a botched/missed SSP because of course; Tajiri being a one-man kicking wrecking crew taking out his former master Regal, misting Nowinski, and getting into an educated feet battle with Rico; and some impressive feat of strength and flight that sees 3MW eliminate Rikishi to become the sole survivors.
World Tag Title: BookDust (c) [RAW] vs. Los Guerreros [SD!]
Hopefully some of this formatting coding works. This is a bit of a guinea pig post in more ways than one. Anyway... I always thought that this would've been the most interesting and entertaining pairing at the time. The most fun face tag team defending their hard-won gold against those dirty, sneaky liars and cheaters who'll do anything to steal the titles and bring them to SD!.
WWE Tag Title: Edge & Rey Mystetio (c) [SD!] vs. Christian & Lance Storm (w/ Test) [RAW]
I was never a huge fan of the Un-Americans, and I know they were kinda done before this point, and you'll notice I'm not billing them as the Un-Americans above... But whatever, work with me here. Maybe in this universe they've gone the C4 route after all, and it's more of a Team Canada thing with a loose affiliation with Jericho that ultimately spins of the amazing Vitamin C tag team. Anyway... I mainly liked the idea of the legendary tag team Edge & Christian squaring of against each other with new tag team partners (again). I think I'd put Edge & Rey over clean, perhaps as the impetus for finally breaking up the Christian/Storm tag team to transition Christian over into Vitamin C.
Cruiserweight Champion Jamie Noble & Nidia [SD!] vs. The Hurricane & Women's Champion Trish Stratus [RAW] - Winning Team Gets the Losing Team's Title
A title is guaranteed to switch brands! Except it's a total bait and switch with a DQ finish due to outside interference from a psycho Victoria. Or make the rules a bit more convoluted where the titles only switch if the champ is pinned... And then either have Noble pin Hurricane to steal all the glory, retain his title, but thoughtlessly cost Nidia women's gold. Or have an outnumbered Trish pin Nidia to retain while Hurricane is hurt and down... Only to be Pearl harbored by Victoria after the match.
Submission Match: Chris Benoit [SD!] vs. Chris Jericho [RAW]
So build this up as follows... Benoit's been catching flack (especially from Kurt Angle) since late August for losing SD!'s IC title to RAW via RVD at SummerSlam. Meanwhile, Jericho has been in a slide and catching his own flack for being submitted twice by old man Ric Flair in high profile matches. Perhaps even have Jeff Hardy score a surprising submission upset with the world's sloppiest figure-four on some random RAW to further the angle even... uh, further. Make this seem less random by tying in not only their general past rivalry, but make it kind of the resolution to their tag team angle in 2001... Maybe Jericho can falsely take credit for putting the Crippler out of action for a year with a broken neck and declare himself the true Crippler? I dunno... Either give Benoit the clean win here to springboard him to bigger and better things on SD!, or give Jericho the win via Shenanigans.
IC Title Match: Rob Van Dam (c) [RAW] vs. Kurt Angle [SD!]
Don't merge the IC title into the WHC, or at least not yet. RVD has been reigning strong since SummerSlam as a popular face champ to counterbalance HHH's awfulness. Kurt is stepping up to do what he's been riding Benoit about for months: win back the IC title for SD!. I mean, if you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself... Right? RVD retains to put him on a title unification collision course with the WHC holder. Meanwhile, an embarrassed Kurt is back on an even field with Benoit, adding more depth to their rivalry.
Last Man Standing: Kane [RAW] vs. Big Show [SD!]
Face Kane is seeking revenge against heel Big Show, who recently jumped ship and reappeared as a rebranded badass. Bill this as a King Kong vs. Godzilla showdown and maybe add the LMS stip to try to make it seem new/fresh/interesting. It's a battle of each brand's biggest monsters! AAARRRGGHH! Have Kane do the job to get the rebranded Big Show set up for a title match against Lesnar next month.
Scott Steiner debuts and reveals which brand he has chosen to sign with...
This segment still works for a RAW vs. SD!-themed show. Instead of Matt Hardy and Nowinski though, have the GMs come out to make their cases for their brands. After eyeing Steph up, pretty much sexually harassing her visually and then verbally for sure by admitting how much he'd love to go to pound town on her ass, Steiner chooses RAW since Bischoff offered him a guaranteed WHC title shot and a bigger contract. Bischoff celebrates, gloating and rubbing the acquisition in Steph's face... But it's short-lived, as Steiner suplexes the fuck outta Bischoff just because.
Champion vs. Champion: WWE Champion Brock Lesnar (w/ Paul Heyman) vs. World Heavyweight Champion HHH (w/ Ric Flair) - Loser Must Vacate His Title!
Perfect reason to throw out a dream match that compensates for not getting the Elimination Chamber debut (yet). Brock has turned kinda defacto face through his sheer dominance, respect earned from his HIAC war with Undertaker, etc. He's especially face when pitted against HHH. Heyman and Flair provide some hilarious and entertaining interactions in the build and the match itself. In this universe, I've kept Shawn Michaels out since SummerSlam to a) sell his crippling, and b) better build suspense for another in-ring return. Plus, not having Shawn wrestle here avoids the hideous brown tights issue. Instead, I have him do a surprise run-in to cost HHH the match with some Sweet Chin Music. HHH ain't jobbing clean to Lesnar, that's for sure. And we can't make the WHC look THAT much weaker than the WWE Title. So hopefully this protects HHH and the WHC enough. Brock moves on to a program with Big Show, and HHH is forced to vacate the WHC... which leads to Bischoff introducing the Elimination Chamber for the vacant title at Armageddon with former champ HHH vs. Shawn Michaels, the man who cost him the title vs. guaranteed title shot loopholed Scott Steiner vs. Kane vs. Chris Jericho vs. IC Champ RVD.
...
That wore me out. I'll be back later for more.

Ultimate Survivor 1995 WWF
Hakushi/Shawn Michaels/Ahmed Johnson vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley/Sid/Kid
*Read a few posts up to see how these men got to this match.
Hakushi is out first courtesy of a Sid powerbomb. Shawn & Ahmed (Dudes With Attitude 2.0?) then go on an eliminating spree. First Helmsley falls prey to an Ahmed Pearl River Plunge. Then Kid is out via Michaels superkick. And finally big Sid also succumbs to a Michaels superkick after HBK gets some help from his new bff, Ahmed.
Ultimate Survivors: Shawn Michaels & Ahmed Johnson
*Ultimate Survivor 1996 WWF is getting skipped due to four babyfaces & only one heel surviving. All four faces are noobs in their first night with the company who aren't ready for an Ultimate Survivor-level push. The lone heel, Goldust, is ready for such a push, but he's not the sort of heel who can believably beat four faces, even mid-level faces, and even in a Battle Royal situation, which I considered.
*Ultimate Survivor 1993 WCW is also getting skipped due to the same face-heavy problem as seen above.
Ultimate Survivor 1996 ECW
Chris Candido vs. Sabu vs. Stevie Richards- 3 Way Dance
*Read a few posts up to see how these men reached this match.
Candido & Stevie wisely team up against Sabu. They have Sabu reeling. Candido holds him for a Steviekick. But Sabu moves. BAM! Candido is down. Sabu tosses Stevie out of the ring and a triple jump moonsault ends Candido's night. Now it's seemingly a foregone conclusion with the legendary Sabu vs. Raven's comic lackey. But Stevie wrestles the match of his life, kicking out of several moves everybody thought was the finish. He even scores a 2.9 count off a jacknife! But in the end Sabu is too much and he finally puts Stevie down for the 1-2-3. Sabu survives but on this night Stevie becomes a made man by outlasting four of ECW's greatest and taking Sabu to the limit.
Ultimate Survivor: Sabu

Survivor Series: The War To End All Wars
WWF vs. WCW: July 1996
*Show takes place sometime in that two week window between Bash At The Beach and IYH: International Incident. After much debate, the two promotions agreed to hold the show in Baltimore due to both promotions being popular in Charm City dating back to the 80s. We're a lot like Philly in that regard, only much less obnoxious.
*There is controversy before the show even starts as Bischoff complained to Apter, Keller & Meltzer about having to sit far more of his wrestlers than Vince. Yet he still accepted the challenge to prove once and for all that the WCW he basically built from scratch is the superior brand.
*In a first, fans ordering the show were given the option to choose whether they wanted to hear WWF commentary provided by JR, Vince & Perfect or WCW commentary via Schiavone, Bischoff & Heenan.
*Both Bischoff & Vince stated on commentary that any of their wrestlers who could not get along with their partners would be fired. All pre-existing grudges MUST be put aside for this one night. Both men took it a step further by saying they would not hire any wrestler fired for fighting with his partners because such a wrestler would clearly be a loose cannon incapable of being trusted.
*The recently-formed NWO which has been appearing exclusively on WCW television despite the fact that many think they're still secretly employed by WWF refused to commit to either side, saying their true intentions would finally be revealed during the course of the night....
1. The Opener WWF (Jake "The Snake" Roberts/Savio Vega/Jerry "The King" Lawler/Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw/Ultimate Warrior/SID) vs. WCW (Kevin Sullivan/Meng/Scott Norton/Rocco Rock/Brian Knobbs)
*For WCW, Sullivan represents the Dungeon of Doom, Meng the Faces of Fear, Norton Fire & Ice, Rock Public Enemy, and Knobbs the Nasty Boys.
*Warrior was originally scheduled for this match. He bailed out at the last minute. Both WWF & WCW commentators buried Warrior for being "afraid of WCW."
Team WCW seemingly had this in the bag after eliminating Savio to make it a 3 on 1 situation with Meng, Rock & Knobbs vs. Sid. But an honest Rock & Knobbs miscommunication (no surprise given their history) gave big Sid the opening he needed. Sid took full advantage by going on a rampage with chokeslams, powerbombs and bad punches all over the place to win it for Team WWF, last eliminating Meng. SID! SID! SID!
Sole Survivor: Sid (WWF 1-0)
2. Tag Team Spectacle WWF (Smoking Gunns & Godwinns) vs. WCW (Steiners & Harlem Heat)
Squash city with the only bright spot for Team WWF being the elimination of Stevie Ray via Gunns Sidewinder.
Survivors: Rick & Scott Steiner and Booker T (Tie 1-1)
3. Workrate Match WWF (New Rockers & Bodydonnas) vs. WCW (Chris Benoit/Dean Malenko/Eddie Guerrero/Rey Mysterio Jr.)
Legalized slaughter. Team WCW dominates from start to finish with all four men surviving.
Survivors: Chris Benoit/Dean Malenko/Eddie Guerrero/Rey Mysterio Jr. (WCW 2-1)
4. MidcardMania WWF (Steve Austin/Mankind/Goldust/Hunter Hearst Helmsley/Marc Mero) vs. WCW (DDP/Lord Steven Regal/Konnan/Disco Inferno/Marcus Alexander Bagwell)
Back and forth encounter with neither team ever gaining more than a one man advantage. It comes to the King of the Ring vs. the Lord of the Ring- Stunner vs. Diamond Cutter- And Stone Cold takes it to tie things up at two a piece.
Survivor: Stone Cold Steve Austin (Tie 2-2)
5. Faction Warfare WWF (Camp Cornette- Vader/Owen Hart/British Bulldog) vs. WCW (Horsemen- Ric Flair/Arn Anderson/Mongo McMichael)
Another back and forth battle with neither side ever gaining more than a one man advantage. This one comes down to Vader vs. Flair with Vader picking up the win to avenge his loss at Starrcade '93.
Survivor: Vader (WWF 3-2)
6. Main Event WWF (Shawn Michaels/Undertaker/Bret Hart/Ahmed Johnson) vs. WCW (Sting/Randy Savage/Lex Luger/Giant)
*Vince begged and pleaded with Bret Hart, who was in the middle of a lengthy hiatus, to come back for this one match. Being the ultimate company man, Bret heeded Vince's request in his hour of need to compete for WWF at least one more time.
This star-studded spectacle went almost 20 minutes without a single elimination. The Baltimore crowd which had been rocking all night reached a whole new level as the 8 greats battled for all the marbles. Finally it seemed as if an elimination (or two) was near as Sting had Ahmed in the Scorpion while Bret simultaneously had Savage trapped in the Sharpshooter. But no! HBK nails Sting with a Superkick as Luger clocks Bret with his loaded forearm at the exact same time. Now we have four men down and out. And two more soon follow as HBK & Luger turn around right into dueling chokeslams- Giant on Michaels and Taker on Luger. The Baltimore crowd is going bonzo gonzo as the "This Is Awesome" chant is born right here. And for once it's deserving as the two biggest men on their respective squads do battle for the first time. A staredown precedes massive soupbones being thrown. But things are about to get even more heated because....
It's the NWO! Hogan, Hall & Nash finally make their presence felt as 6 men are down and out with only the two hosses- Taker & Giant left standing. The decision has been made! NWO swarms the Giant armed with chairs! Giant has no defense for 3 armed and dangerous men all standing over 6'6 280 pounds. Taker doesn't know what to do. He doesn't necessarily like this bad sportsmanship, but he isn't about to start helping a WCW wrestler all of a sudden. Taker takes his eyes off the trio for one second to check on his partners. BAM! Nash chairshot. Payback for 'Mania. Taker is down. But he sits up....right into a Hogan chairshot! Payback for Survivor Series 1991. Now the NWO lays waste to all the members of BOTH teams, save Shawn Michaels, who conveniently rolled to the floor. Hmm.....But wait! The locker rooms empty with both WWF & WCW wrestlers ready to take on the NWO! Goodbye, Calgary. Baltimore has just topped you as the hottest crowd wrestling has ever seen. But before the army of wrestlers can reach the ring to save their stars from an NWO massacre, they start fighting amongst themselves. It's the biggest brawl ever as over 50 WWF & WCW wrestlers fight in the aisleway, at ringside, and even in the crowd, while the NWO stands tall in a trash-filled ring. The NWO has finally revealed their true intentions. They are neither WCW or WWF. They are NWO, and NWO alone.....for life.
No Contest (WWF 3-2-1)
The Aftermath
Both sides claim victory. WWF correctly points out they won 3 matches to WCW's 2. Yet WCW counters by truthfully stating they had far more survivors- 7 to WWF's 3. WCW is also able to say they had to sit more of their wrestlers out AND the NWO, vile as they may be, appears exclusively on their television. Therefore the War rages on with nothing having been settled.
