That's right. Week 16 kicks off on a Saturday with 3 big games coming up.
Houston annihilates injured Bucs; Watson throws 4 TDs
- We start things off with this game and this could've been an exciting offensive showdown. However, the Buccaneers are coming into this game with their top 2 WRs both placed on IR. No Mike Evans and no Chris Godwin leaves Jameis Winston trying to make Breshaud Perriman fantasy football gold for back to back weeks. I don't think this one is close. Houston is trying to clinch that division title and could do it this week if they win and Tennessee loses. They definitely don't want their playoffs starting next week in a win or go home game against Tennessee. I don't see Houston coming in sleeping in this match up like they did against Denver. Hopkins scores twice, Fuller scores once and a Darren Fells TD wraps up a 4 TD performance by Watson. shinobimusashi come back and celebrate!
Texans def. Buccaneers 38-21
Buffalo STUNS the Patriots; the division title is up for grabs!
- Yeah that's right, RT! I'm going for it. I think the Bills D plays the game of their lives in this one and they don't allow the Patriots to win the division in this game. I think it's low scoring, but this time Josh Allen makes the big plays to win it. The lack of weapons for the Patriots is frightening and they better hope Edelman is able to leave this game uninjured. The media is going to go crazy after this terrible showing by New England and Bills Mafia is going to go crazy in Buffalo after this monstrous road victory. This game could very well be the beginning of the end for the Patriots dynasty.
Bills def. Patriots 20-10
It's over for the Rams; San Fran takes care of business!
- In honor of pduh, I say the niner d going to be big here and goff not so good here especially his throws being at wrong team and now real season start for niners and your welcome minnesota you owe us now beat green bay for us you owe us but if you lose minnesota then rams owe you so one way or other way someone owe someone something. Basically that. Jared Goff has a terrible game and the season comes to an end. A wild turn of events for last years NFC Champions, but the whispers of did the Rams ruin their future for Goff become louder and louder. Jalen Ramsey gets ejected from this game due to frustrations of being owned by Deebo and Manny. The Niners D scores twice and this game gets ugly late.
49ers def. Rams 45-17
QUICK NOTES:
I'm going to say the NFC East is won this weekend by the Dallas Cowboys! Dak Prescott has a career game absolutely tormenting the horrible Eagles secondary. Cowboys are going to be that 4 seed. The only question will be whether it's Seattle or San Francisco they get spanked by. A lot of restructuring needs to happen this offseason for the Eagles at D and WR if they want to ever give Wentz his redemption.
I'm taking both San Francisco AND Seattle winning this week which is going to lead to an absolute epic Week 17 match up between these two teams. Winner wins the division and gets the first round BYE and the loser travels to Dallas for a Wildcard showdown. Keep your head up, Kyler Murray. Next season you will become a star.
Will Grier adds to the list of QBs winning their first career start as the Panthers beat the Colts. Sorry, jTjohncenaGOAT, but this Indy breakdown happened so damn fast. Better 'luck' next year.
Leveon Bell gets shut down by the Steelers and Pitt keeps their playoff hopes alive. Bell is pissed off after Gase doesn't give him the ball 300 times. Sorry Blindy, but I don't know what the fuck the Jets are going to do next year especially if they lose Bell and Robbie and Demarius. I don't know if this team will ever be good. The Bills are about to run that division soon with their D and coaching. Also sorry Hines Ward, no Gatorade bath for you.
The Saints beat the Titans. Such an underrated, huge match up here. Michael Thomas is going to break Marvin Harrisons record Week 17 and it's going to be special. This game will be a very tight showdown as both teams have a lot to play for. The Saints are trying to play their way to a first round BYE and Tennessee is trying to snatch up a Wildcard spot. A 9-7 record for the 5th straight year is the likely result here as the Titans lose to the Saints but split with Houston next week who will already have the division wrapped up after this week. The question is can the Steelers beat the Ravens next week? Will the Ravens show mercy and rest their starters or keep that rivalry heated by knocking the Steelers out of the playoffs? Should be intriguing to see.
Kansas City takes care of business with Chicago and leap frogs the Patriots to the 2 seed and never relinquish it. Crazy that the Patriots, Bills and Chiefs could all be 11-4 after this week. Unfortunately for Buffalo, NE gets Miami Week 17 but if Brian Flores can beat his former team Week 17 and force them to the 5 seed, wouldn't that be epic? KC is getting that BYE even though New England desperately needs it.
Baltimore humbles the fucking shit out of the Browns. Revenge after their first showdown. Lamar seals the MVP with this game and the Ravens have the 1 seed locked in.
Last but not least, the final game of the week where many fantasy football championships will be won or lost happens MNF with Minnesota and GB. Kirk Cousins goes into the game with an 0-8 MNF record and even though that stat irritates @admin, it's got to put a smile on the face of UT. This is a big game for both teams and it's going to be the game where Kirk Cousins has to really earn his contract. No Dalvin Cook, no Alexander Mattison, Kirk Cousins is going to have to win them this game. AND HE WILL! The Green Bay Packers will be the 1 in 1-8 for Kirk Cousins. Things get real interesting for that NFC North championship and playoff positioning.
My pre Week 16 playoff projections:
1- New Orleans Saints
2- San Francisco 49ers
3- Green Bay Packers
4- Dallas Cowboys
5- Seattle Seahawks
6- Minnesota Vikings
1- Baltimore Ravens
2- Kansas City Chiefs
3- New England Patriots
4- Houston Texans
5- Buffalo Bills
6- Tennessee Titans
