So let me start by clarifying that I quit my second job. My part time job. I’m still employed at my full time job which pays $8 more an hour then the job I quit.
However, it felt fucking good. I work 22 hours a week at this second job and it’s the most miserable 22 hours of my whole week. Every single week.
So the other day, my superior called me on my day off from there and started complaining about some petty shit I didn’t do and kept me on the phone for 8 minutes doing so. I don’t mind criticism, but when it’s bullshit criticism with a tone of “I’m your fucking owner” I can’t handle it. So I slept on this decision for 3 days and finally pulled the fucking trigger. I just straight up quit. No two weeks notice, no nothing. Just told them “unfortunately I can no longer work here and give you 100% of me. So I will no longer be coming in for my shifts.”
I kept it professional and they responded with “what? Are you serious?! You’re not even giving us a week notice?!” I said “I’m very serious.” And what I wanted to say was “now who owns who motherfucker?!”
Anyways, they can suck a dick and keep that extra $1100 a month I was getting there and shove it down their throats. They still have to pay me $565 of what I did work last week so they can lick that check when it gets direct deposited into my bank. I feel so fucking good and so fucking free.
The first job I quit involved me cursing everyone out but that’s a long story for another day. Anyone have any job quitting experiences that felt great? If so, tell us.

They wouldn't hesitate to can you on the spot without a proper notice so fuck em.
My first job was fast food and gave 2 weeks. Every one since then, nah I just walked. Granted it was only two times until I got my current, which I hope to stay with till retirement.
No idea you had a second job, so I was prepared for way more posting. Too bad!

A few years after university I got a second job working at a fish and chips place. The whole thing was a disgusting mess and the treated people like shit. After a week I told them I couldn't work there cuz it was terrible.
Fuck second jobs. Congrats on quitting

I quit McDonalds by saying fuck the McSystem. It felt great as I fucking hated that place, the people were useless and the manager was an idiot. They always put me down and laughed when they said I couldn't get a better job. I got offered a job, the one where I work now, on better hours, weekends free for myself and a actual sustainable wage. So just quit there and then and accepted the job offer and they all went bitchy with me. Moreso because I was pencilled in to do the closing shift all week at McDonald's. I laughed and said bye, I start my new job Monday.

I was purposefully left by myself to work a whole Friday night shift at Subway in my small town (one of only 2-3 places to eat) during football season while my coworker and manager laughed about it on the phone. Said "fuck the both of you, you aint screwing me - I quit" as I walked right on the spot where my coworker was mopping.
Sometimes you just gotta be a petty asshole and stick up for yourself.

Absolutely. Bet they weren’t laughing after. Cocksuckers like that deserve to get spit on also.

My second job my final exchange with my boss was him saying "If you don't like it you can f*** off" and me saying "I think I will"
Job after that I resigned twice but my boss talked me into staying. I ended up there for about 15 years until the boss stole 350k bankrupting the company. Which is when I started my own company and I am without a doubt the biggest asshole I have ever worked for.

I’ve never had the combination of a good enough reason and replacement job lined up to ever have to walk out on a company with no notice.
