Just watched our boys open all of their gifts (solid haul from Santa and Mom & Dad this year), and we just took our family selfie in matching pajamas (#badasses).
Now I’m preparing to cook breakfast while everyone watches “A Christmas Story” on repeat for the next 24 hours.
So yeah ... pretty great Christmas!

Merry Christmas peoples.
My kid just opened up his gifts (after staring at them unsure at first) and we got him his own kitchen set and he loves it. No more playing with our real pots and pans. Now he has his own. He still thinks the fake food is real as he keeps trying to bite them. It’s crazy that I had to use a power drill (a fucking power drill!) to put it together but he loves it.
He got a life sized Cookie Monster. A Woody doll. A Mr Potato Head doll. A soccer ball. One of those drawing things for kids that you swipe the bottom to make it disappear, don’t know what they’re even called but they’ve been around forever. We also got him his own little vacuum that we gave him a few days ago because we couldn’t wait and he always chases us when we are vacuuming. He was a good boy this year and it’s the first year he can unwrap his own gifts. Not bad for an 18 month old.

Christmas is all but over Down Under.
My relatives always put together a shin-dig out west that includes a Christmas Play and Santa delivering all the Secret Santa gifts.
The aunts put on a nice spread, while us nephews, nieces and cousins spend all afternoon in the paddock playing cricket.
Still got a few more Christmas get togethers to go to, but otherwise that's all she wrote for this festive season.

Visited the parents and exchanged gifts. Have noticed that it has certainly gone to being mostly about my newphews/the grandkids. Wonder how the holiday would be if they weren't here. I got the oldest one a mother fucking T-Rex, which ended up being his favorite of all his gifts. So I won.

Merry Christmas everyone!
My workplace was willingly shut for the first time since it opened the mid 50's.
The only other time it has been shut was for 3 days in 2015 when it flooded.

I had a hectic week, my little fella’s first Christmas - 4 months old, and he had no idea what’s going on. Then on top of that, worked all the way up to Xmas to 9pm and back Boxing Day first thing.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, Solstice, etc..with your loved ones. For those of you who have small children, cherish it. It really is one of the best parts about Christmas. Now that my daughter is 21, I really miss it and have for awhile now.
I just love this time of year in general. I wish people would carry the Christmas spirit throughout the year. I got my wish for a White Christmas which is also my favorite Christmas movie.
I hope 2020 is an amazing year for you all.
