Most Valuable Player - Lamar Jackson , QB , Ravens - The obvious choice this year , the dude has done it all and taken over the NFL this year much like Mahomes did last season. He's been awesome and deserves to runaway with this award. Runner Ups: Russell Wilson , Michael Thomas
Offensive Player of the Year - Michael Thomas , WR , Saints - Essentially what I consider the non QB MVP award , Thomas deserves all the accolades as the best receiver in the game and being virtually incoverable. Didn't matter who was throwing the ball either as he continued to put this offense on his back with Brees out and Kimara struggling. Runner Ups: Christian McCaffery , Derrick Henry
Defensive Play of the Year - Zadarius Smith , LB , Packers - Yeah yeah I'm a homer but so what? The dude deserves to be in the conversation and possibly even to win it. He's done it all for the Packers and his stat line of Sacks/Pressure and TFL's rival winners of the past - and he does it from all over the field. He makes the entire defense better and is the best player on the team right now. Runner Ups: Aaron Donald , TJ Watt (sorry Stephon Gilmore , you blew it yesterday)
Offensive Rookie of the Year - AJ Brown , WR , Titans - Josh Jacobs is awesome and was the frontrunner all year for the award but he got injured and wasn't able to put a puncuation on his season , despite being my favorite rookie to watch. Brown was dynamic and really popped once he got a quarterback that could get him the ball. Putting up over 1000 yards and 8TDs with Mariota starting for like half the year. Give him Tannehill all year and I would have loved to see his production. Runner Ups: Josh Jacobs , Kyler Murray
Defensive Rookie of the Year - Nick Bosa , DE , 49ers - The runaway winner , his sack numbers have went down a bit but the dude still impacts the game so much on a play to play basis and jumps off the screen every game you watch from the 49ers. Last night he ran down Wilson THREE TIMES from behind and prevented potentially huge gains. Dude is a straight stud. Runner Ups: Devin Bush , Josh Allen
Coach of the Year - Sean Payton , Saints - He went through quite a bit this year with losing his HOF quarterback and injuries and still finding ways to win and helping transform Thomas into maybe the most unstoppable weapon in football right now. 13-3 through all the probably deserves the award though The FLOWER should at least be mentioned for turning around the Packers and getting them a 1st round bye. Runner Ups: Matt LaFleur , John Harbaugh
Comeback Play of the Year - Ryan Tannehill , QB , Titans - The dude was left for dead in Miami and even though I've always been a fan I had even given up on him. Comes to the Titans , sits behind the awful Mariota and then takes over and turns the Titans into a legitimate offensive threat and one of the more fun teams in the league to watch. Give it to him! Runner Ups: Cooper Kupp , Jimmy G.
Executive of the Year - Brian Gutenkunst , Packers - He changed the culture and stigma of Packers offseasons in the past in one year. Signing the Smith Brothers and Amos have absolutely changed this defense and allowed the Packers to compete all year. Billy Turner has been as reliable of a guard as you can ask for up front and rarely makes a mistake and is great in the run game. Drafting Savage in the first round has been a coo , he needs to work on tackling but his coverage in the back end has been stupendous and his potential is out of the world. Gary even came on to flash by the end of the year and Lazard was a great FA find. A few other contributors too in the draft class too. He does get red marks for not cutting Graham and possibly making a movie at the deadline but you can't ask more much more in one offseason that taking a terrible roster , especially on defense and turning it around into a 13-3 contender while also setting up for some major cap room in the future.

The fact CMC is only the 3rd player to join the 1000/1000 club and not win an award is on some Russell Westbrook triple double shit. Sure Michael Thomas broke a record too, but CMC is only the 3rd player in HISTORY to do it. So I’m still giving CMC OPOTY. He did it at RB and as a receiver.

The dude catches everything.

However, joining the 1000/1000 club is much bigger of an accomplishment then having the most receptions in a season ever. That’s just my opinion.

Michael Thomas was more dominant than any receiver I’ve seen in awhile. There’s like an 85% chance that if you throw it to Thomas ... it’s going to work. And he broke the record without even needing the last game... which means he’s flat out shattered it.

I'd give Harbaugh coach of the year because the Ravens are probably the best regular season team since I've followed the NFL, and they've done it by zigging while the rest of the league is zagging. KING KID's boy Darren Waller for comeback player of the year.

It's a very nebulous definition (remember that time Phil Rivers won it "coming back" from a season where he was just shit?) but personally I think establishing yourself as one of the better players in the league at your position after multiple year suspensions due to drug addiction is a more significant story than Tannehill just changing teams.

That’s fair but at least Rivers came back from relevance and did have a shit season - Waller is a great story and awesome to watch but he doesn’t really fit my definition. Tannehill was left for dead and backing up Mariota and now is looking to get paid and be the future for Tennessee (as of now) ... that’s incredible. And plus he made one of least watchable teams in the NFL actually fun to watch. I think they take down New England.

Darren has also brought the Waller family name back to heights it hasn't been at since the 1930s - Tannehill can't say that!

I also think Oakland for being one of the best stories in the middle of the season is hurt by their play down the stretch. Jacobs was great for most of the season but he wasn’t there to help carry his team when it mattered most. Through no real fault of his own.

Miles Sanders quietly pipped Jacobs for the most scrimmage yards by a rookie - feel like he hasn't really gotten the attention he deserved.

I just think what Brown did , at a position that doesn’t normally adapt that quickly for an offense looking for that stud receiver was awesome. Had he had a better quarterback all year I think he could have went for 1200/10.

I also forgot Elgton Jenkins as a draft pick for Goot. Plug and play guard.
Z. Smith led the NFL in pressures. 13.5 sacks and like 40 TFL. P.Smith had 12 sacks. Amos has 84 tackles and 99.6% PT. Turner had 99.9% PT.
Savage was the top ranked rookie safety and Jenkins was the top ranked rookie guard.
Let’s go!

This was a great year for rookie WR - completely smashed that narrative that it usually takes a couple of seasons to get going. Both Browns, Terry McLaurin, Hardman, Metcalf, Slayton - all really good contributors.

Deebo had a ton of moments too and Johnson for Pitt had some big moments/games.
Renfrow had an impact too before he got injured.

I think Deebo and AJ Brown are going to both be the real deal for years to come to be honest.
Metcalf and Terry too.

You heard it here first: we'll be adding the pride of the Big Island, Johnny Ursua to the list after this weekend when he blows up in a big spot against the undermanned Eagles secondary and leads the Seahawks to the divisional round.

MVP: Lamar Jackson (Unanimous) OPOY: Michael Thomas DPOY: Stephon Gilmore COTY: John Harbaugh OROY: Kyler Murray DROY: Joey Bosa ACOTY: Greg Roman CBPOTY: Ryan Tannehill
Those are the official award winners.
Fuck Gilmore getting the DPOY award based on early season , he faultered down the stretch and got torched in an embarrassing loss to Miami. I can think of three more deserving candidates.
Happy Tannehill got the CBPOTY.
Don't think Murray should have gotten the OPOTY , I liked a bunch of skill guys better. Including both RB's and Brown at receiver. Whatever though - he's a QUARTERBACK.

You should have been happy with this because it was the only one of your pre-season predictions that was correct - the rest were quite awful honestly, especially Doug Marrone as coach of the year - woof!

Well if the idiot wouldn’t have benched Minshew! Predictions are fun but really tough to make. Aside from Murray I don’t know that anyone made the correct predictions.
