You'll have to forgive me, the local media has been a little bit engulfed of late with fire coverage.
So, you'll have to catch me up - so Trump killed an Iranian General, then justified it. Iran pops off a few rounds and now the US threaten more action if Iran retaliates further?

200 Iranians dead so far. 30 at the funeral stampede, then everyone on that plane that just happened to malfunction and turn into a fireball at the same time that the rocket strike occured but totally is not related in anyway.
At this rate if we give Iran a month they will have destroyed themselves.
US is sending troops over already though, despite this not being a war. Whether we have any allies in this remains to be seen, but I after this rocket strike, it is highly unlikely China or Russia, Iran allies, will get involved. So World War 3 this is not. Instead it is the Republican conflict in the middle east that occurs whenever the US elects a republican president.

Once congress impeaches you, thats it. It’s done. This is just a distraction to delay the senate trial and something Trump has wanted to do since he got elected. Figured now is as good a time as any.

Not sure if I have stated this before, but I am more against drone strikes than I am against fat ladies in yoga pants or fat men in tucked in polo shirts (That's a whole lot of rage for the uninitiated) To me the only thing that ever curbed the blood lust and irrationality of world leaders was the equation: 'Do I care enough about this to risk the lives of my own people?" Take that away and you have people in air-conditioned RV's ending lives like they were playing CoD... It's bullshit! As is not declaring victory in Iraq and Afghanistan so they can operate as if it were a theater of war. I have no love for the Iranians and anyone that gets bumped off from the Revolutionary Guard makes the world a better place. But, I feel the same way about Israel and the blind support of the USA to a brutal regime is not okay in my book and is a major driver of the Iranian conflict. Pakistan vs India - USA doesn't care Bosnia vs Serbia - USA doesn't care China vs Everyone -USA doesn't care But Israel is sacred? One is left to wonder about the power of money. Here's a fun quote: Of course the USA being fantastic world citizens found a good solution to the record high number of reported civilian drone deaths. www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-47480207They stopped reporting them.

So, Trump killed a guy, and probably a tonne more doing so, and now wants a medal because he’s bullied the Iranians out of any serious retaliation... ?

They were the first country we brought American made Democracy to in 1953. I am 40 and my entire life there has been US conflict with Iran. This conflict is almost as old as Trump himself so to place him at blame for the conflict is silly. Moreso since an attack on an Embassy is an act of war. Also many of those acts were acts by Iranian proxies, and not done directly from Iran for deniability.
I find the war powers debate hilarious now since both parties have been ignoring that act since it was enacted then acting shocked when the other party does the same.

So Iran shot down the Ukrainian plane by mistake.. the Iranian people are upset, naturally. Iranians chant “Down with the dictator” after regime admits fault.
Now... was it a false-flag? Does American bring some good old fashioned, red, white and blue democracy to the rogue state?

"Brought American Made Democracy" is a weird way of saying we removed their democratically-elected leader to put the Ayatollah in power.

I can see why some think this is the beginning of World War 3. However, I don't think it is, and it will have to take more than that for any of what's happened to result in global conflict.
If any of these things were to happen, maybe then WW3 would be more likely:
- Iran attacks the US again, as well as at least two major US allies (Canada, Mexico, UK, France, etc.)
- Iran, Russia and North Korea all get together and form a supermilitary, someone gets the idea to provoke them and they attack
