The Wednesday Night War is back on after the holidays. So what do the young guns have in store for us tonight?
For Jon Moxley, he has a major decision to make. He has always marched to the beat of his own drum. But will he march to a different one after tonight? Will he join Chris Jericho's Inner Circle?
Will the extra terrestrial with an Earthy name bring back to her galaxy the AEW Women's Title? In order for Kris Statlander to do so, she will have to defeat the 95 pound pocket dynamite that currently holds the title, Riho.
Plus, the Best Friends and Orange Cassidy take on Jurassic Express in six-man action.

I wonder if Hangman will eventually turn into Scott Hall circa 1998, with this alcohol angle?

That double team would have been 1000x better if Hangman hit that guy forward into the V Trigger.

JR just used the word 'exalted' when referring to someone in the dark order (in fite tv commercial commentary). DIdn't matt hardy call himself the exalted one?

Watching a fite tv stream tonight, the commercial breaks feel weird.
I don't buy into Moxley in the inner cycle. Table smash comming up in 3 minutes.

During the segment I was thinking oh he won't join. And was actually happy when he joined because it wasn't expected. Ok this could be interesting. But not joining after the long delay still is just as boring.
Brandi was pretty fun on commentary since she felt like she just didn't care tonight. During the women's title match I keep hoping for a Big Bang Theory to end this sad title reign but it just won't end. Also it looks like they cut Kris alien communication thing she was doing. I think Sonny Kiss only came out just to remind people he is actually with the company. I do wonder sometimes since his total time on dynamite is probably less then 3 minutes combine.
Butcher and Blade already feel like jobbers.
Cody doesn't need AA. Why not let Hangman use AA as a manager?
And once again Southaven, MS isn't Memphis, TN. Memphis has some small arena too nXt will be at one sometime this month. I really should go to one of these shows since AEW, nXt, and Smackdown all will be here this month

It just occured to me during the Jon Moxley-Inner Circle segment that we really don't know who Moxley is. He by and large kept his identity a secret in the WWE, serving as a mercenary of sorts with three of the brightest NXT prospects who decided to join together and take the WWE by storm. Beyond that, he's been a bit of a loose cannon. I point this out, because it felt believable that Moxley would join forces with Jericho, that he is infact a friend of Jericho's and would be willing to be the Ishii to Jericho's Okada. The question would then be, who could challenge Jericho? Chris has already beaten Kenny, Cody and Page. With PAC preoccupied, that would only leave Luchasaurus and Dustin Rhodes as the reasonable choices, and both would be a major step down. It's a shame AEW was in that position, because I think Moxley in Inner Circle could have made for some fun television.
Which isn't to say the angle is headed in a bad direction. I believe of anyone on the roster right now, Moxley would be the most interesting champion largely because he carries himself so well and yet we've never really been exposed to him as a character. When he had his opportunity in the WWE, he appeared incredibly uncomfortable with the WWE creative process, so now with more freedom I believe he could really take the company forward.
I think you raise an interesting point X-zero. The Double A-Cody pairing feels unnecessary. Now granted, Double A was the equaliser in Cody's match against Spears but it appeared that the mentor role had already been filled by DDP. Why does Cody need two mentors to take on MJF?
The women's division is well and truly going through a teething phase. I was actually enjoying the direction the division was taking under Statlander. She stood out in her tag team match against Sakura and so they kept running with her until she was ready to have a championship match. Then last week happened and instead of just delaying it a week and trying to build up Baker, Shida etc. for a match down the line, they gave them all an undeserved title match. Now with the Brandi thing being thrust in and Jericho's friend getting a gig, the whole thing feels like such a mess. I hope it naturally massages itself out, but between this and the Dark Order stuff, this is really starting to feel like the Dungeon of Doom.

The prospect of future contenders doesn't look good but eventually might have been good for Omega. Since he would need to first finish up with Pac. Then handle his unresolved issues with Moxley who also originally allowed Jericho to beat him. Then finally getting back to Jericho

But not joining after the long delay still is just as boring. It's a shame AEW was in that position, because I think Moxley in Inner Circle could have made for some fun television. Agreed. Honestly, going through that episode, I realised that I'm already bored of AEW. Then Moxley "joined" the Inner Circle, and then I was suddenly all in again. Then the swerve came, and while it was well executed, it was a bit of a downer, and I'm back to being bored. With that in mind, I'm not sure if I'm going to stick with AEW, at least not the TV shows. I'm fed up of MJF shouting about nothing for 10 minutes every week. I'm fed up of the joke of a Women's Division which is becoming even more of a joke. I never liked The Dark Order, so I'm more fed up of them than I am of anything else. I'm fed up of Cody getting special interviews with Tony Schiavone after every match he wins. Why doesn't anyone else get that special treatment? Essentially, there's more that I dislike than I like. PAC is great. Hangman is great. Moxley is the best thing in the company. Jerico is losing momentum fast, but he's still decent. That's about it. I can't even bring myself to say Kenny Omega is great anymore, which says it all really.

I'm half way in. I hate it when make shift super teams go over legit tag teams. It makes the division look week.
Kris Riho was better than expected. Someone really needs to work on the match timing with the commercial. The match started off weak, but really seemed to take off during the commercial. I know they have the split screen, but it was really annoying. Speaking of annoying I thought Brandi was really annoying. Someone should have dropped a bitch please on her ass during commentary. I was hoping Kris would win but ok with the screw job finish.
I kinda like the dark order. They need a big name to join and I now think it will be Omega.
Anderson with the Rhodes. I remember something similar with Arn and Dustin in early 90's WCW. That ended with Arn turning on Dustin because you never trust the Horsemen.
