As we reported earlier this afternoon, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were apparently sent home early from the WWE European tour. We knew that the Canadian duo were sent home by management after Tuesday’s Smackdown taping, but other than that details were scarce.

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet is now reporting that Owens and Zayn were sent home after disagreeing with a creative decision, and possibly even going into business for themselves on Smackdown. According to the report, the two were supposed to take a beating from members of The New Day following Sami’s match with Kofi Kingston. As we saw from Tuesday night’s show, Owens hit the ring and beat down Kofi after the bout, but the two quickly rolled out of the ring and walked away leaving the segment in an awkward spot.

Furthermore, Satin noted that sources have reached out to him saying that Owens and Zayn have been “slightly difficult to work with” and “seem unhappy backstage” at WWE events.

It’ll be interesting to see how this story plays out, or if WWE acknowledges their absence from the European tour in any way. Triple H and Kurt Angle have both worked dates on the tour to beef up the roster, so losing two of Smackdown’s top stars probably isn’t going to go over well with anyone. At this point, neither Superstar has a match at next weekend’s Survivor Series pay-per-view and they’re involvement in the big show, if anything, is still unknown.

Following the incident, Zayn and Owens were told to fly back home to the United States, as they were no longer needed for the rest of the tour. The two could be brought back to WWE TV on Smackdown next week, but their statuses with the company are currently up in the air.

This makes it sound really bad...

Does the Bullet Club accept chubby scrubs?

I knew Daniel Bryan would let the power get to this head eventually hold Owens and Zayn accountable for there actions. You could tell he was upset that Shane was hurt on SD right after the HIAC. I highly doubt Bischoff, Big Johnny and other GMs would have sent them home. I think punishing these guys by putting them in multiple handicap matches would have been better for business here.

Another way to punish them would be is to book them in a shoot fight tag match against lesnar and angle to teach them a lesson. 

If they screw up atleast make some money off of it. Bad decision on daniel bryans part here.

He does have a manager title which means he is accountable and has responsibility to lead functions of a department of employees. Since he is a GM of SD I would think he has the authority to make those decisions. Also they dont want DB to go anywhere so I think they will cater to this needs considering his drawling power However if this was his decision it was not the best way to get the driven results for his brand since OWens and Zayn are a breath of fresh air to the brand

They were in the main event at the last Smackdown PPV even feuding with the owner's son. They couldn't just take the beatdown and move on. They were just going to make New Day look like a threat for the shield so it would look better when they fight at Survivor Series

Don't see Owens going to Japan. He apparently hated his run in Dragon Gate right when he was really starting to become an indy star. Of course without a WWE check he may reconsider if it came down to it.

As noted, both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were sent home from the current WWE overseas tour after a creative incident took place at this week’s WWE Smackdown tapings.

Despite being sent home from the tour, PWInsider.com is reporting both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are scheduled to be at this Tuesday’s WWE Smackdown Live tapings.

In kayfabe, Shane could reprimand them for not being team players and since Owens isn't on team Smackdown he feels like they'll ruin his plans. So he's taking preemptive measures by banning them from SS.  From what I've read KO & Zayn were told to let The New Day beat them up a little bit before running away from them, instead, they just ran away from them. If that's what really went down there's no way KO & Zayn will be fired. It was a miscommunication.

What happened during the match was legit. I just think the idea of possibly firing Owens and Zayn over it is a work.

I'll preface this by saying I don't think it's a shoot, but I can see the logic behind it.

If it was a 'worked shoot' it can be portrayed as Owens going into business for himself and attacking talent while their back is turned. Why would Shane leave Owens/Zayn on the roster when they're liabilities and they have a big match coming up?

And on a meta sense, it just keeps the conversation going. Not only did AJ Styles just win the WWE Championship, but there's drama happening behind the scenes. Considering the huge Alpha vs Omega announcement, it would make sense for the WWE to manufacture their on drama and keep the conversation alive.

As noted, WWE has canceled one of the shows originally scheduled for the upcoming India tour and has reduced the tour to one Supershow taking place on December 9th in New Delhi.

The show will be headlined by Triple H vs Jinder Mahal, a match which was made earlier this week when Triple H posted a video message challenging The Modern Day Maharaja to a match at the event. Mahal accepted and the bout is now official for the supershow.

Kevin Owens vs Jinder Mahal was originally scheduled to take place on the WWE India tour, however, the match has been scrapped in favor of The Game vs Mahal, and Owens has since been pulled from the tour altogether.

Owens being pulled from WWE India comes at an interesting time considering he and Sami Zayn were just sent home from last week’s overseas tour following a creative incident which took place at the Manchester WWE Smackdown tapings. It’s unknown whether or not Owens being pulled from the WWE India event is related to him being sent home from The UK tour, however the timing of Triple H vs Jinder Mahal being announced it worth pointing out.

Both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have been rumored to return to WWE at tonight’s WWE Smackdown Live tapings.
