Jesus H fucking Christ
I'm currently binging the Network because well, aren't we all, and man alive, this fake pop they use on SmackDown has shot to the top of my list of things I hate about wrestling. It's everywhere. They literally pipe it in when there's a genuine pop. I hear in some online circles it's referred to coloquailly as the hairdryer pop. How did we ever cope with this crap? Maybe watching 8 hours of wrestling a day is feeding this rant, but it's still bullshit. Could they not have got something a little less obvious?

I don't really notice the piped in crowds unless I see it highlighted by Maffew on Twitter. The camera cuts on the other hand are disgraceful and it's my biggest bug bear with modern wrestling. It's easily my biggest issue with AEW where every match has to a shot of one of those chubby wattaburger faces during the climax of the match. It's like the 2020 Royal Rumble match, except every match has to have it. Nowadays the biggest issue seems to be the shaky camera whenever somebody hits a big move. What era are you watching Todd?

I'll take all the piped crowd noise in the world in exchange for the shit camera work with the seizure quick cuts and Parkinson shakes.

I wonder if they sweetened it more on the Network? So many of those replays are difficult to trudge through. Currently there's a project online where they're taking old ECW episodes and splicing in the actual music which would improve the show easily by 100%.
