Through recent history some of the better women's matches have not been on the main flagship wrestling tv shows, but rather on the secondary/c-shows such as Superstars, Heat, Velocity, Xplosion, and Main event.
If you had to pick which of these secondary shows had/has the best library of quality women's matches?
Some notable / my thoughts on each show for reference
Heat - One of the first notable secondary shows in terms of having good women's matches. Heat allowed women who wern't in the title picture to have longer, good matches. It also lasted quite a while extending through the Trish and Lita era through the beginning years of the Playboy/ Mickie-Melina-Beth era on Raw. The quality was also pretty consistent overall throughout the years.
Notable matches - Ivroy/Jacqueline vs Jazz/Molly, The Mickie vs Melina series, Victoria vs various indy talents, Mikcie vs Victoria, Melina vs Candice.
Superstars- This also last quite a while and was once again a showcase for some of the less pushed women. How you feel about Gail performance during her second run will be basically determined by if you watched her superstar matches or not . Other talents like the Bellas , Eve, Layla, Alicia and others also had numerous good performances on the show. One potential downside is that the quality waned during the last few years of the show.
Notable matches- Gail vs Beth, Bella Twins vs various heels, Eve vs Layla, Laycool vs Kelly and Tiffany, the Gail vs Melina series, Gail vs Jillian, Alicia vs Natalya
Main Event- This show I find to be the lesser of the other secondary shows when it comes to women's matches. It's had some high highs but a lot of the matches are very uninspired especially considering the lack of restrictions on what the women talents can do in their matches compared to times past. Still some good stuff.
Notable Matches- Natalya vs AJ, Naomi vs Paige, Charlotte vs Sasha
Xplosion- TNA/Impact wrestling's secondary show . Still active today but has never been as consistent in regularly having women's matches as some of the other secondary shows . Still this show has had some really good matches .
Notable matches- Taylor Vs Sarita 1 , Hamada vs Alissa, Angelina vs Sarita, Mickie vs Sarita, Madison vs Mickie.
If I had to pick I'd go with superstars. I think the match quality was on average higher than the other shows and a wide variety of talents were showcased. Plus it was really consistent through most of it's run.
