Wirfs I think has been discussed as a stud guard due to his arm length but I think Thomas is a solid tackle, must be the thinking here for Gettleman. You always go tackle over guard even if Wirfs might be better at his position.

Not questioning the talent, it's the injuries.  A QB losing any time, and that could be your season.  And Tua already has a laundry list of injuries.
