This is actually a tough choice here. Both pretty well balanced teams, both with that wild card - DDP for Blindy and Carole Baskin for maiden. Baskin has that uncanny ability to get herself out of tough scrapes, mostly by being a lying bitch, so I think she would sway the balance towards team maiden.

Both have drafted really smart. I don't want to overthink this, so I'll go with my gut, and my gut says Blindy. Kinda feel like this should be the final :lol:

IM has Keith Richards, she tempted me to take Ozzy Osbourne who has been biting bats heads off since the 70's and has endured drug and alcohol abuse to still be alive(Albeit he's in rough shape with Parkinsons in 2020 ). He is practically indestructible. Can't fault anyone for siding with IM here.

Love my team though! Well balanced! David Blaine is the ace in the hole, gimmick or not he has endured living in below temperature ice, in water and other ridiculous stunts even if there is a method to the madness.

Age is usually scary in a Coronavirus crisis but I drafted some fit and very strong individuals that I think overtake the fact that they're older(Well besides my gold medal class swimmer who is in his mid 30's!)

Alright, let's break this thing down with some play-by-play analysis...

On Blindy's squad, had I gone a different route with my own team, I would've considered Jocko and Chef Ramsay. On iron maiden's squad, I would've considered Keith Richards and honestly Martha Steward is a great dual purpose draft; she's both a chef and low key hot (read: fuck squad material).

Now, let's get into how the teams match up against each other specifically:

- DDP brings that po wrestling X factor to the table along with his power of positivity... but honestly, he doesn't do anything Rock does or can do a million times better. Rock is bigger, faster, stronger, more charismatic, more attractive, more talented, etc. etc. etc. I go with the REAL People's Champion all day long. Point to iron maiden.

- Martha vs. Gordon is the other most straightforward matchup. As mentioned, Martha has that dual purpose value. Also, I can't tell if Gordon's schtick is his actual personality or comedy. While I do enjoy the comedy aspect, I worry if it's his real personality if it would grow tiresome and how fast if so. Given Martha is more well-rounded and also bangable, gonna give the point to iron maiden on this one too.

- While Keith Richards is an Apocalypse-proof cockroach, I think his survivability really only benefits himself. He's not going to help his team in any real way, except maybe by entertaining them (for varying durations) with his music skills and also maybe serving as a taste-testing guinea pig to assess if food or water sources are poisonous... but even then, he'd be a bad guinea pig since he'll likely survive ingesting things that others won't. I think his counterpart on Blindy's team is David Blaine, and I'm honestly thinking Blaine's skills as an illusionist and overall personality suit the Post Apocalypse better. Point to Blindy.

- Phelps and Baskins are like the bridges between the Blaine/Richards, Ramsay/Steward, and Rock/DDP matchups to me. Baskins is clearly a master strategist, and with Bill Gates' existing physical resources at her disposal... I shudder to think what she'd be capable of in a no holds barred environment like the Post Apocalypse. Bill even seems like her type after getting a good look at Howard Baskins. Phelps would be able to swim for supplies and shit, I guess. That's about all he offers. That, and his gangly lengthy frame means he'd be able to reach things on the top shelf without assistance. But beyond that... he offers really nothing of value. Point to iron maiden here again, especially with the Bill Gates multiplier.

- These scientist and politician picks mean FUCK ALL to me. First of all, when shit hits the fan and sex and violence rule the scene... politics mean nothing unless you're the kind of politicker and plotter that Carole Baskins is. And science means jack shit unless you've got the time and resources to run your experiments and prove your theories. Someone like Jocko is gonna kill your ass (with his bare hands, if need be) before you'll have time to measure your test tubes. So Fen, Merkel, Wen, and Baltimore are all washed out... and point goes to Blindy for drafting a man who has and can kill a man.

- For film personalities, seems like Yen would kung fu fuck up Gates... so another point to Blindy.

Unless I'm counting wrong, I think this works out to 3-3. In this case, I default to whose team is more of a fuck squad for me. In that hair splitter scenario, iron maiden wins largely thanks to Martha Steward and Dwayne.

Donnie Yen alone wins Blindy my vote. Love all of his movies. Gordon Ramsay in there is a nice complimentary pick to make things interesting.

Blindy has a great team but here's my team breakdown

Keith Richards - the man who can't die. Can use him to test vaccinations on with little ramifications.
Bill Gates - the money man & influencer
Carole Baskin - got away with murder and who knows what else. Batshit crazy. Has an army of big and small cats.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson - bigger, faster, stronger. Has beaten every catastrophe in his movies. Love interest.
Tsai Ing-Wen - got ahead of everything with little effect to her country and economy by learning from SARS and being smart.
Martha Stewart - need I say more? The modern day MacGuyver. And she ain't no snitch!
David Baltimore - leading biologist, virologist and immunologist. Has made huge contributions to understanding HIV & Cancer and subsequent treatments. Will be in charge of creating vaccine.
Josh Gates - real life Indiana Jones. There is nothing this guy won't do or hasn't tried. Don't believe me watch Expedition Unknown.

Kind of a toss up here but I give the edge to The Rock.

Martha Stewart did tax and security fraud and lying under oath! She is prison built though, tough as nails. She was called "M Diddy" by her inmates.

If we are doing a roster breakdown...

Gordon Ramsay: Sure he laid off a lot of employees during this pandemic which is not okay but he's a successful chef, runs his own restaurants, has become a widely popular personality with his hot temper and even explored doing some survival hunting/fishing/shooting to cook in some Bear Grylls knockoff sort of shows. More than just a BLOODY TERRIBLE character, he shows kid chefs tender love and care when need be! 

David Blaine: I covered his endurance stunts and whether he gets doubles to somehow fill in as observers stood by or if he truly is magical but he's street smart and made a killing over the simplest of tricks to get to where he is today. A true street hustler, he's more than just glitz and glamour! Ultimate celebrity mogul too. He believes in the shit he does too, there's studio stooges like Criss Angel who don't hide what they do with smoke and mirrors, David Blaine truly believes he is magic. The sort of character who does absolutely nothing until we are near the brink of death and somehow does one single courageous act on the whole show and is well remembered for that. 

Diamond Dallas Page: Be honest about 10 years ago, if you had told me that both Jake The Snake Roberts AND Scott Hall would be rehabilitated and off the drugs and alcohol I would have absolutely laughed in your face. Low behold though, both are looking great and doing good thanks to DDPYoga! See DDP is more than a former world champion and actor of Ready 2 Rumble because his vision and mindset has been proven to change lives and mentality. He is a successful yoga instructor and considered one of the true good guys in all of wrestling. Rose to WCW stardom at a late age and still in 2020 is relevant thanks to AEW. When you get a self high five and a diamond cutter, that's all she wrote.

Michael Phelps: Yeah he has multiple DUIs sure but thankfully beer and liquor will probably be hard to find a load of so that gets negated. What isn't negated is 28 medals in the olympics. Considered the best of best olympian of all time, he is vital as a swimmer and someone who go and explore seas and god knows what is hidden underwater for survival. Still in outstanding shape as expected.

Dr Ai Fen: Battle tested in Wuhan, she isn't afraid of the Chinese communist regime to say what needs to be said and even if quieted by the corruption, still knows what the COVID-19 virus is and how to treat it. May be the least known person on any list but she is one of the remaining doctors to stumble upon what this virus ended up becoming and helped whistle blow this in sheer bravery to let the whole world know what we are up against! Still saving lives to this day, atta girl!

Donnie Yen: All around good guy, Ai Fen's translator and a pure badass in his own right. Has tons of martial art competitions on his resume, still influences some MMA fighters, donated a hell of lot of money on the fight for COVID-19 and while I get Hong Kong protesters feeling betrayed by Yen not going in, he has done far, far more good for Asia than he has done bad! You don't get casted as Bruce Lee's Mentor "IP Man" if you don't got the goods. Mind over matter, man has the patience necessary!

Angela Merkel: We need a person to make decisions so lets get one of the most powerful people in not only Europe but in the whole world! She doesn't back down to Donald Trump or Vladimir Putin and while she isn't perfect(Immigration laws), she has been absolute no nonsense for Germany at this point and time with the virus! Also has a legit chemistry science degree under her belt, not some made up mumbo jumbo nobel peace prize! Multi-threat folks!

Jocko Willink: In addition to a great Joe Rogan style podcast, you have a ex Navy Seal commander who led the likes of Chris "American Sniper" Kyle into battle in uncharted turf(Iraq) in what was a lost cause altogether. Don't tell that to the man who will inspire, get you off your ass and start feelin the burn though! Knows guns, plays with his hunter knife sometimes on a podcast, the ultimate US BRO and someone you want to go to war with and then some! Not a RAH RAH U-S-A! type of guy, he's smart and a tactician. The type of boot camp instructor who will settle for absolute no nonsense for slackers!

I'm going to contest The Rock vs DDP point.

The Rock is younger, fitter, more handsome, a bigger star, and funnier. Great.

DDP is extremely fit for his age, and has dedicated the latter portion of his life to helping people. He knows how to pick people up from the bottom. He knows how to stay fit without use of excessive gym equipment, and he knows how to make other people fit.

I'd much rather have a beer with The Rock, but if we're talking about human survival, I'd take DDP 10 times out of 10.

From all podcast accounts, it sounds like DDP's travel partners had to endure a lot... enough to have them on the brink with their tolerance of Page.

That was 3-5 days out of the week, and at least had changes of scenery and a variety of others to help keep you sane. Being in lockdown 24/7 with ONLY Page and seven others? I dunno, bro.

Seeing Jake Roberts on my AEW TV cutting some of the best promos in 2020 makes me tear up just a little. Thank you DDPYoga!

Fair point. This might be possible. It's also possible that The Rock would drive you crazy in a totally different way. DDP still has the better toolkit for survival.

I like the first half of Blindys team but don’t know half the names.

IM has some interesting names but I’ll never vote for that bitch Carole Baskins.

As someone who does DDP Yoga, I'd never count DDP out.  The only person in the world who made me like yoga.  However, The Rock also has his know-how of fighting disasters from all his movies. 

My dead uncle looks like Blaine. Enough for me.

How am I losing this? I have an team that could actually take this on in real life.

Oh sure Martha would feed Carole to her tigers or to the rest of us in a gourmet feast, but we'd keep her around for a bit to help us hide what we are really doing.
