OK, a tie in the bolds. Moving to next step of tiebreaks. Second tier of tiebreaks (i.e., straightup bolds) was equal as well. Third tier is point total awarded: System w/ 65 vs. RT w/ 55. Ah, fuck, it pains me to vote against GoldenEye... but the numbers are the numbers. Then again, there might be no single game or even combination of System's roster I'd trade for all the hours I logged playing GoldenEye...

Aw man, I absolutely love Days Gone!

Though I do love System and some of his gaming picks more.

From System’s list, I have played Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong's, Halo: Combat Evolved, Street Fighter 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Dark Souls, Space Invaders, Pong , Destiny, and Final Fantasy 8.

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong's Quest was a good game. The Kongs feel like Evolution & Legacy you to me. You got Donkey as HHH and Diddy as Orton which is why one and two where good games. Then in the third one you had Dixie as Cody. And the other Kong as the other member of Legacy. So while Diddy could carry Dixie in 2. The Legacy team of 3 was just too boring wit out the main stars.
I thought Halo was ok. I never really got into the multiplayer much. And some parts of the campaign I dreaded redoing like the library.
Call of Duty: Black Ops enjoyed both the story and tons of hours of the multiplayer.
When it first came out, I sucked at during rotations on SF2. I played Chun-Li and Blanka since I could do only charge moves and button mash really fast. I really enjoyed it years later before 4 came out and I could actually play it decently.
Dark Souls I really didn’t even give it a chance. I started it thought it didn’t feel like demon’s souls and didn’t play it again.
Space Invaders and Pong pretty much everyone played in some form or another.
Destiny put in a ton of hours into every mode of that while minus trials. Because when you play the game of thorns(not mispelled) you win or you die. And legendaries in 2 felt nothing like the release legendaries in Destiny: Gjallarhorn, Black Hammer, and Raze-Lighter all day.

Final Fantasy 8 draw system was odd but it still was great game. Probably had my favorite airship for the longest time in FF games.

From RT’s list, I have played Goldeneye 007, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, NBA Jam, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag , Journey , Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out! ,Brutal Legend ,Pac-Man ,Super Mario Brothers 2.

I didn’t play the multiplier of Goldeneye until years later and it was only one match. The single player game was fine but didn’t see the hype. And I just thought of this maybe I am thinking of Mission Impossible instead of Golden Eye for its single player. I am confused but I still will count it.

MGS2: I remember not like Raiden as much and thought others felt the same way. Then for some reason I think people started to like him randomly. Maybe it was his solo game.
NBA Jam was my jam tons of hours of fun from that game.
I enjoyed the ship battles of AC4 but I never finished it. I doubt even know why . I didn’t get stuck and like it I just stopped.
Journey I played and beat in the time between you saying it and the next person picking.
Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out! I didn’t play until years later but it was a lot of fun still.
Brutal Legend was different then I was use to but still a very fun and funny game. It was only a light RTS so wasn’t as bad as I thought.
Pac-Man well everyone has played Pac-Man right.
SMB2 what was Mario even during since Peach didn’t need recusing.

I like that RT picked a lot of his personal favourites, but System's list top to bottom is incredibly strong and well thought out.

I originally went RT, but when I went through each game, I had to give System his due.

Also shout out to NHL 94, that pushed it over the edge before I really sat down and looked at both lists from an industry stand-point. That game is legendary in Canada and I can only imagine the kind of scrapes, late night gaming sessions and all sort of pen and paper record keeping that game inspired.

The only game that really comes close is Tecmo and even then, it's nowhere near as good as NHL '94, or '95 for that matter.

Originally I was super excited for it, then when it kept getting pushed back I honestly stopped caring until I realised Deacon was played by an actor I love/was a super good price. So ended up buying it, and putting so much effort and time into it. Platinum’d it and loved the different challenge modes

I've only played four games from RT's list and none of them are particularly special, all in the 5/10 range. System meanwhile has Tony Hawk (awesome), Doom (awesome), Final Fantasy 8 (awesome). Plus there's no game on RT's roster that I'm really interested in. Our tastes must not align at all.
