So, during this time I have been spending a lot of time going around the same block. I've been observing the birds and trees a lot. I've gone home and researched more about some types of birds. And sometimes I feel I have thoughts that seem like something a stoner would think. Here is one of them.
How do bird feeders work? They don't look like anything a bird normally eats out of. Totally unnatural. Big old plastic cylinder full of seeds. And birds are known for their vision, not their scent. So how do birds even find a bird feeder in the first place? They must just be constantly exploring and trying shit to eat. I bet they screw up and eat all sorts of stupid shit by accident before they figure out a plastic tube is filled with seeds.
I also learned having a pet tiger is legal bet locking up most song birds and such is illegal. No pet crow for me I guess. Also, crows don't really go for the birdfeeder bit. Throw some stuff on the ground and crows or other animals may try them.
In my area we have a whiskey club that people drop off care baskets to one another of whiskey and other stuff. Recently I received one and it has bacon flavored sunflower seeds in it. I wonder if crows would dig them. Crows are cool. Ravens are cooler. None around my parts though.
We have these little black birds with red wing tips that are territorial dicks around here. They chase birds much bigger than them out of trees and such. Even chase my crow buddies. My crow buddies must just let them, because they could turn and kick those little dick birds asses I bet. There are some areas of town, like by the library where people and the library have put up signs about those little dicks.
Speaking of all that, as I ramble. We have lake flies here. They come twice a year. First boom is around Mother's day. They come in such numbers that they can be seen on radar. Ridiculously gross and totally swarm parts of town by the water.
