I’m just going to start axing teams entirely that haven’t followed the rules or put joke posts.

Pretty annoying I’ve participated in other drafts and followed the process only for mine to become a total pisstake.

It's only KING KID and arguably 🤯 who are messing about, right?

I'm quite intrigued by how everyone else is picking and would love to see how this plays out.

Maybe I’m not being clear and people are just misunderstanding.

The problem is 1/2 the people not specifying what animal type they are after, which doesn’t work when the other half did.

I can either just drop the species part of it so it’s just like:

Spider VS Frog

Which doesn’t really work as there’s spiders that can kill you and spiders that are completely harmless hence the need for further clarification.

Or
Unspecified snake VS inland Taipan

Seems to give the advantage to the person that was more specific.


It’s just meant to be a fun draft on a message board so I’m probably overthinking it and being a nazi about it but I had some ideas in mind that aren’t working at this stage.

I'm with you, I don't think this works unless specific species (or whatever the correct term is) are chosen.

I'm still not seeing that many unspecified types. Someone picked elephant and someone picked hippo. I guess there are a few different species of those? You don't see the same kind of variety in elephants and hippos as you do with spiders and snakes. You know what you're getting. So maybe those can be acceptable.

Then there's the whole argument with cat and dog breeds, but most of us have one animal that would fuck up any kind of domesticated cat or dog breed, so maybe you don't need to be so forceful in that case.

Fiiiine. I'll replace cat and dog with more specific dangerous animals. Alternatively I'm happy to defend my cat and dog choices.

I don't know what bug crawled up my butt with those two picks. I think maybe just the unexpected pressure of having the first pick. Then doubling down when everyone tried pushing breeds as a thing. (I'll still maintain breeds are a purely man-made and arbitrary thing!)

OT Thank you for your concern but I’m definitely not envious of KING KID ‘s position and thankful for his service during this pandemic (even if he does mess up my draft 😛).

My biggest annoyance with the club opening is, it’s the first day of winter today (+cold/flu season) it’s been colder than usual most of autumn (fall) and our patron base are mostly 60+ and scratching at the walls to come in without releasing just how authoritarian the new rules actually are.
I obviously can’t stay at home collecting a paycheck for months on end, but this seems like a recipe for disaster.


Anyway I’ll hopefully have the brackets posted and match ups ready by the end of the week if all goes to plan.

But at the same time, you can't deny there is huge difference in breeds, especially dogs. Some dog breeds are huge, others are tiny. Some are hyper aggressive, others are tranquil. Yet they are all dogs, apparently.

I don't really understand it myself. But makes sense to specify a breed if you commit to a dog or a cat.

Meh, since Generous Party Host System wasn't holding me to cats and dogs, I pivoted away from them.

Plus, judging by the reaction to Zoolander, I have a feeling the PW Majority hates cats.

The bat Kid is looking for is the Horseshoe Bat. That was the bat they believe carries the virus.
