FINALLY getting around to watching some hockey tonight. I've been too busy with baseball, basketball and Aussie Rules lately.
This one's tough; the Leafs have always been my favorite Canadian team and were my favorite before Ohio finally got a team. At least it would be better than losing to the damn Penguins again. That being said...

I really hope the Maple Leafs win tonight. I love watching you guys celebrate and panic. It’s the best part about hockey for me for the last decade and a half.
What I want the most is Toronto to win the whole thing and everyone keep telling them that it doesn’t count because of COVID for the next decade and a half.

Geez, and I thought the 80s was the Leafs dark age. That's nothing compared to now. At least Toronto won a couple playoff series in that decade.

It's an absolute joke that Detroit had one of the worst seasons in NHL history and is picking 4th. Blindy these qualifying rounds weren't playoffs. They threw all the teams that were close to being in a playoff spot into a best of 5 series because they couldn't finish the season and call the standings fairly. Basically the teams that didn't win their qualifying rounds got knocked out of their playoff spot or didn't qualify, like they finished the regular season and lost out. The players union voted on this as the best way to resume play.

The first game of the actual playoffs, and we already got our first multi-OT game. Lightning/Blue Jackets about to head to a third overtime.
Make that four. The Jackets goalie is only a few saves away from Kelly Hrudey's all time record for saves in a playoff game.
