Holy shit, what a fucking game. Of all the teams to have to face this year it had to be Tampa Bay. I have a bad feeling the Lightning are out for revenge this year and this game all but proved it. If CBJ does win, it's not going to come as easily as it did last time that's for sure....

Had MJ been injured and out for either season, '92 or '93 would have been their year. Knicks-Suns would have made for an awesome finals. Ewing always being banged up never helped matters either.

Yeah, I saw that photo released by his agent, of Lehner being harpooned.

The internal tension is gonna catch up to Vegas.  Vancouver may take advantage of that.

Fleury made his agent delete the post and is planning on staying in Vegas. I think the agent acted alone and is creating drama where there isn't any.

I don’t think the Stars are going to win the series against the Avalanche to be honest but after that tight series against Calgary, that win was super important. Colorado was dominant against Phoenix and I think Colorado wins the West ESPECIALLY if the Canucks can get past Vegas.

The East is where the excitement is for me. Boston and Tampa is going to be an amazing series and I think the Islanders and Philly are going to be filled with some hardcore old school hockey.

I don’t follow the sport during the regular season and only do so come playoff time. The Capitals firing their HC was the right move. Talk about a team that forgot how to win a playoff game. 1-8 in the playoffs as favorites the past two seasons. That’s some wild shit.

Boston def. Philly

The Islanders/Philly series is going to be weird. Islanders are a defensive powerhouse and Carter Hart might be the best goalie in the playoffs right now. Before last night I would have said Markstrom is but his team had a bad game and he couldn't bail them out. Poor all around from Vancouver last night.

NYI/Philly could be multiple OT, low scoring games. Very tense stuff.

Varlamov can be shaky at times, but is really looking good in net. His movement side to side was never his strength, but it has definitely been improved after the pause. The Islanders are a well rounded, well coached team. They kill you with their system. Barzal is so much fun to watch.

Well Philly figured out Varlamov today. 3 goals on all pretty similar plays. Chased him early.

It was a good game though. Islanders forced OT when Philly couldn't put them away. Thankfully Philly still won. I hope this series goes 7, even though I'm pulling for Philly to win it all.

Well it's been an interesting playoffs to say the least and it keeps staying that way. The Dallas Stars are Stanley Cup finalists.

Kinda makes sense when you think about it. One of the best defensive teams in the league figured out how to score. They've looked dangerous ever since the restart and now here we are.

Vegas fans are going to be a little butt hurt that calls didn't go their way that led to Dallas' first goal, but hey. Playoff hockey is apparently make up the rules as you go time so what ya gonna do? You think this Leafs fan has any sympathy? Come on.

Tonight we see if Tampa can clinch or the Islanders stay alive.

In other news, Peter Laviolette is the new Capitals coach. Mike Babcock interviewed for the job and I was kinda hoping he would get it for maximum chaos. Oh well. Maybe Laviolette will finally win a cup.
