So I was just watching a YouTube video and they were shilling the ridge wallet saying Fathers Day was soon leading to brief confusion from me until I remembered it’s on a different date in the US.
In the Southern Hemisphere Halloween in Spring doesn’t make sense nor does Christmas in Summer....but have different dates for Father’s Day somehow makes sense.
So if it was up to you what holidays would you change dates for (even if it’s just for your area) or just abolish all together?

I would love for Easter to have a set date every year because I always forget when it is.
Otherwise I like when our Mother’s Day/Father’s Day etc is. I don’t get why our Father’s Day is different to the US though.

When Is Father's Day 2020? Father's Day 2020 Different dates in different countries, some common ones are: Sun, 21 Jun 2020 – 40 countries Sun, 8 Nov 2020 – 4 countries Thu, 19 Mar 2020 – 2 countries Sun, 7 Jun 2020 – 2 countries Sun, 6 Sep 2020 – 2 countries
The most common choice worldwide is the third Sunday in June, a tradition deriving from the US and now followed in more than 70 countries. So why do Pacific countries choose a different date?
The broad tradition appears to date back to the mid-1930s, as a newspaper report from Newcastle in 1936 treats it as an entirely new event:
A new day for the Calendar is 'Fathers' Day,' September 6. Mothers' Day has become very popular, and maybe 'Fathers' Day' will.
The likely explanation? Having encountered news reports about Father's Day from the US, Australians decided to adopt it. However, rather than waiting a year to celebrate, it was placed later in the calendar, and in a similar season.

That explains some of it

I don’t get why our Father’s Day is different to the US though. Does that mean you guys actually celebrate it and it's a real thing?

But it’s not a big of deal as Mother’s Day when it comes to shopping centres advertising it and shit lol. Also Father’s Day is right after my birthday, so my Dad used to joke about my presents got lost for a week to see what I got him. (I always got my presents early tho hahaha). Although it’s annoying when my birthday falls on the Saturday, and then Father’s Day is the next day (as it’s always the first Sunday of September) and my birthday is 31st August, so I can’t plan a weekend away with friends

Fathers day I get breakfast in bed I also get a card my eldest daughter makes for me as well as some sort of School craft... and big hugs from both my girls. Pretty much the perfect holiday.
