WRESTLING NEWZ: Backlash is underway, which means no more predictions. I do wonder if anyone has submitted anything after a show has completed and got credit. POP EMPIRE COUNTDOWNS: We saw a new Centers pick, a guy who didn't raise his son right since they're in the news for a stabbing incident. Unless he did it to a Pitbull because those things deserve a bullet in the brain! He may or may not meet the Ness mainstream non-sports criteria. Pop Culture sees Training Day, a beloved Denzel film. Seems to be the Katy Perry of films because it's making everyone roar like a tiger. Sorry it's playing in the background for some reason.

That completes the weekend here on PW. Not much to talk about and yet I do it as if there was a ton to discuss. I'm like a delusional homeless man. The current gif really sells it too.

Have definitely seen someone post predictions for a Takeover 24 hours after the event. They definitely didnt realise it had already happened as they got quite a bit wrong!

Would love the dead air prank! I always wanted to go to the theater and see a movie with the balls to end it like 5 minutes in and just roll black screen for the next 90 minutes. No movie has ever had the balls though...

Fan Fic Draft already feels same old, same old. Here's hoping the Rando Cardrissians really fuck shit up! Think I might pivot from my original plan, and instead go all Team Dick: i.e., only drafting Dicks, Rics, Ricks, Rickys, Richards, etc.

@ness raises a good point about the draft process. It really should go so much faster. 1RealSmartAlex came up with a really smart approach. If everyone adopted it, I think the drafting process could be done in a weekend.

We clearly need a weekly/monthly sandylea segment on PW News where she reviews the hot entertainment topics of PW. Hypothetical example, if Training Day topped the 2000s movies countdown as it should have done, then she could talk about Training Day for that weekly segment.

PW Entertainment Correspondent has a nice ring to it, right?

I created The Gamer's Pub not long after the new boards went up. My idea was to introduce a casual conversation topic every week or so, sort of like a conversation in a pub, a topic that's not big enough for its own thread.

The idea quickly fell on its face. As always happens with these things, I ran out of ideas after a few weeks, the ideas I had didn't really get off the ground, and the community adopted it as the catch-all general discussion thread. So concludes the story of The Gamer's Pub.

Looking back, it was kinda silly, but if you read the first few pages of that thread, you'll see my grand and short-sighted concept.

I'm up for rebranding it.

To The Gamer's Tavern.

Because tavern is a much cooler word/concept than "pub". Simultaneously cooler and nerdier.

I popped for @ness using Duck Duck Go. I've tried searching the Ness way but never stick with it for very long. Sad.

I adopted Duck Duck Go recently. It was very jarring at first (and still is), after using Google for my entire internet life, but it's interesting.
