It's starting to get longer. Problem? Guess once I cracked 20:00 it just became the norm. Suppose it's my fault for starting off with analyzing "likes" at the beginning.

HOUSE THAT FF BUILT: Mini-discussion to be had in the Match Review thread on match lengths. How long is too long? Are we just compensating for being an inch shorter than average? Can we really justify sitting down for 45 minutes? Then again your boy is asking you to do that for PW News. How long before I start cracking that count? Will anyone besides 🤯 listen at that point? Does he even draw the line there? Fan Fic Draft is underway. Honestly you could argue the drafting is more fun than the actual write-ups and voting. At least it can be if you don't have a gameplan like me. I got Asuka and AJ (not Lee).

BATTLE LINES ARE DRAWN: Me and Baker are the first match in Animal Warfare. Head over there to submit a vote. Ever had a run-in with a pitbull? Then you know the deal. Cereal Countdown has 4 lists so far: 2 Aussies, 1 Mapleback and 1 Merican. Well 2 if you count my eventual list. Hoping for 3 more before posting.

After that Sports Countdowns are going on a break. Possibly forevah. In Pop Culture we saw Jack Sparrow's film debut pop up for the Decade. 4 spots left... Departed, LOTR 2, TDK... and the Notebook? I hope not, or I'm leaving PW and joining Jman on Twitter loving the women. DEDSRS. Get your director list in as it's the last call.

I'm with you. 45 minutes is almost always too long. Exceptions for Rumbles or big multi-man tags where wrestlers can cycle in and out to keep it fresh. Even the good 40 minute+ matches like Flair/Steamboat (Clash of Champions) or the Rock/HHH Ironman are not likely to ever be rewatched by me.

Austin/Bret at Wrestlemania 13 went about 22 minutes- an ideal time for a main event level match. 

Undertaker breaking kayfabe makes me sad.

I used to delete my PMs on the old PW when my mailbox was approaching full. If there is a PM limit on Nu PW I have yet to reach it.

lol Yep. PI put waaaay more thought into our Animal Warfare match than either of us. 

I'll break kayfabe on Animal Warfare once voting for our match is complete.

My cousin and especially his wife are pitbull fanatics. You wouldn't like them.

I haven't started on my 100 Favorite Movies list either. 

Fun Fact: My mom is a huge Pirates of the Caribbean fan. Not sure about the sequels, but I know she's seen the original PotC a whole bunch of times.

General Discussion threads absolutely stifle topic making. The Match Review Thread has long been the all purpose dumping ground for the History section. 

These 20+ minute News segments are much more tolerable than 20+ minute Orton matches.

- I remember thinking what a rip Pokemon Snap was when I played it at Harvey Norman as a kid.

- VG needs less sticky threads in my opinion, agree with the old sentiment about it discourages new threads. Agree with combining.

Fair point about Okada's epics unabashedly starting with 20 minutes of filler. Orton vs Edge was sort of the opposite. The first 20 minutes was the best part of the match. As I said in the review, every hold, gesture and expression had some meaning behind it. Masterful storytelling. I was hooked. It was only when they started going into the near fall bit that it felt like going through the motions, or forced epicness, just hitting moves for no reason. I lost interest. They kinda got me back for the finish.

I'm normally obsessive about keeping my inboxes tidy, even in the old PW, but I haven't bothered with any PM maintenance for the new PW. Maybe it's because I just don't have many messages. Most of my mailbox consists of the film lists I have sent to UT, and I'd like to keep those around.

I don't see the Match Review thread as a general discussion thread. Is it really a dumping ground? People post match reviews in there, that's about it.

You could argue that it was improper for me to dump a current match review (Edge vs Orton) in a HoW thread. But there's a good reason for that. I used to post my post-PPV reviews in the party threads, but nobody gave a fuck. It's as if the party thread ceases to exist two days after the PPV finishes. Nobody reads it after that. I figured my review would get some attention if I put it in the popular Match Review thread. And it did.

Another idea would have been for me to make a thread in WWE just to discuss that match. And that got me thinking about other general threads. "What Games are you Playing?" Is it better for each poster to make a thread chronicling their own experiences with the game they are playing. Doesn't have to be an epic story. Just some updates here and there. Should I do this for my Kingdom Hearts playthrough? In general, is that approach more desirable than having a single stickied thread for all the games everyone is playing? Thoughts?

45-minute match PERIOD. Edge and/or Orton but definitely both together AND 45 minutes!? Hard pass. Dr. Emperor was lucky not knowing it was 45 minutes going in. Ignorance is (Alexa) BLISS!!!

You nailed it with the "if you can skip a section" theory. I practice this with matches on occasion. Guess what? Virtually NO match needs to go over 20 minutes.

I don't recall UT ever messing up. Ever. Impressive. Other than him, Wife is the only person I've ever known to never be wrong. Then again, UT and Wife are practically the same soul.

@ness vs. Baker feels like the main event of the first round. Great way to kick things off! Good question about the battleground conditions... Why isn't the pit bull allowed to be flying around in the air with the eagle?

Generally speaking, I'm anti-people over animals. And I feel like pit bulls and their rep is probably due 99.99% to hard-R people. So I try to cut pit bills a break. But I'm not like those hard-R bleeding hearts that go overboard with their pit bull specific love.

Dr. Emperor, I'm with ya on being anti-GD threads if we're drawing lines and forced to go this or that. I'd rather a bunch of random threads even if little to no discussion in them. Makes for easier boards searching than trying to dig through a singular catch-all thread.
