War Games: The Match Beyond

This was the ultimate bookend to all the major feuds in the NWA, and later WCW.  It began on the 4th of July, 1987, at The Omni in Atlanta.  And ever since The Four Horsemen and The Super Powers squared off that night, it became clear that this was no ordinary cage match.  That indeed, it was a War.

And now, some 30 years after the War began, the Games returned.  Three teams (SAnitY, The Undisputed Era, and The Authors of Pain/Roderick Strong), two rings, one cage.  Who will win this deadly game?

But that's far from the only match taking place in Houston tonight.

Who will attempt to fill the shoes of NXT's greatest champion?  In a Fatal Four Way, either Kairi Sane, Ember Moon, Peyton Royce, or Nikki Cross will become the first NXT women's champion NOT named Asuka, since Bayley lost the title at TakeOver: Dallas, some 19 months ago.

Also, Drew McIntyre will defend the NXT title against a hungry Andrade "Cien" Almas.  And Shawn Michaels has been appointed the special guest referee.

And the night will kick off with a battle of pure power.  OH NO!!!  As in Kassius Ohno, goes one-on-one with Lars Sullivan.

Titles are on the line, Games are gonna be played, and everyone will be happy.  Yep, sounds like a TakeOver alright.

I want Andrade "Cien" Almas to win the belt. Drew should be on the main roster.

She's the mean girl of NXT. A cocky above it all heel. She's playing her character so well.
