VIVA LA SYSTEM: Favorite Wrestler Countdown is getting eerily close to finishing, but don't worry as I'm sure in a few years it'll be brought back. Maybe at that point 🤯 jr can submit a list of their own. Though hopefully the wrestling business won't even exist given the current speaking out stuff. Next up is Eddy Guerrero. His death may have elevated him to saint status but you cannot deny unlike Owen he was already up there. Surprisingly not too many PW were on board with Latino Heat judging by quite a few "he didn't connect with me" posts. Also System gives us some more stories about DIS BUSINESS where he discusses the professionalism of Bubbles, time limits and a possible return to the ring because he never keeps his word!

LOVIN' LAIFE: Cereal Countdown is centered around Life cereal this update with two entries in Life Classic and Cinnamon flavored. All thanks to Pi. Makes so much sense. Dude's always hyping things so he must really like life, so the cereal would naturally be part of that. Also Sugar Bear tops out the list by making an appearance. He's above the Digem Frog, but still only the middle of the pack of cereals. Stupid bear thinks he's cooler than Yogi.

PROPS TO FOOT FETISHES: Quentin Tarantino is PW's #3 director. Would've preferred #1, but doubt UT would have the stomach to post that. Considering how much people love some of his stuff it feels right. Plus without QT we probably wouldn't have any idea who Samuel L. Jackson even is. Does he look like a bitch? Also a strange rivalry in hockey between Canada and Russia. Who knew they played sports outside of the US that weren't soccer? So weird seeing teams from our rogue's gallery have rivalries that aren't with us.

PW News has reached a historic milestone with 50 episodes. In a row! Here's to 50 more. Or maybe I'll just pass the torch to someone else. Stay tuned to find out!

I mentioned it before but the lukewarm response to Eddie caught me off guard. 

I'm with Ness in being skeptical that he was close to getting the title back, but I do think he would have regained it at some point. 

What is everyone's favorite period of Eddie's career? Ness likes WM 20 and beyond. I was a fan of his Smackdown Six/Los Guerreros run in 02-03. How about the rest of you?

Yeah, the Judgment Day matches with Eddie & Cena are my top JBL matches as well.

There is no shame in not knowing about that rivalry. But come on! "Loves hockey" was like the first thing I ever knew about Canadians.

I'm not really hip to directors either. There are only like 5-10 where I can rattle off a bunch of their movies. Tarantino is one of them.

I only played Final Fantasy 1 because I'm old and pretty much stopped gaming in the last century. So I have questions. Who is the Link of FF? The Ganon? Does it have a Zelda? An Erdrick? Is there a first family a la the Belmonts? All of a sudden I want to look into Final Fantasy lore.

Also, controversial take BUT... I think Vickie Guerrero FAR surpassed her husband as far as legendary heels go. It's hard to imagine Eddie being such a beloved face, and Vickie (post Eddie death, no less) being SUCH an epic heel.

I need to catch up on System's HVW update. I always love those. Can't reconcile how much of a bonus the stories get though from being based in the Outback and featuring Australian characters. Bummed and jealous about PW's Podcast Kings pduh & System getting to play and stream together. Although, reading their latest posts, it sounds like they've paid for Modern Warfare. And I didn't realize I just had the free version, Warzone. So... if we ever do sort out timezones, we'd have to be doing some Warzone Rumbles or Battle Royals.

I’m 99% sure that there is a 3v3 gunfight mode in the Warzone mode that’s free, which is similar to the 2v2 mode we were playing.

The series doesn't actually have recurring heroes or villains - the only things that carry over are attacks, enemy types, chocobos, moogles, characters named Cid etc. It follows a similar formula as Dragon Quest, except DQ honours Erdrick in it's game.

If you asked most fans, they'd tell you Cloud Strife and Sephiroth is the most memorable hero-villain dynamic. Cloud is ex-military who's become a bad-ass mercenary and is helping this eco-terrorist organisation Avalanche stop a nuclear holocost from this evil empire Disney Shinra. Sephiroth was the deadliest member of Cloud's military troupe who went AWOL and disappeared off the face of the planet. Sephiroth ends up interrupting one of Avanlanche's missions where he massacres an entire floor inside Shinra while the gang is being held captive. The past has caught up with Cloud and Avalanche realise they need to focus on Sephiroth who is clearly a bigger threat than Shinra.

We find out through out the course of the game, Sephiroth is actually an experiment gone wrong. He was thought to be a member of this extinct race of human being that could communicate with the planet directly, instead he's from an evil alien race hell-bent on destroying planets. The rest of the game is spent tracking him down, watching him commit rampage after rampage before you finally find out a way to defeat him once and for all.

He also has one of the best villain themes in gaming. Shit is always going down when this starts playing:
