PDuh drafted a hell of a team honestly, took some guys I legit forgot like Silverback and he has one of the best secondaries in this. Julio Jones and Zeke are a hell of a pairing. I think CJ Mosely is an underrated pick and I would have taken him had I ran a 3-4 so credit to Phil for doing so because he got screwed last season with a nagging injury that wiped his promising 2019 year away after signing that mega deal.
I do wonder if the year off helps or hurts Trent Williams but he will be tested by TJ Watt and Chandler Jones attacking and Brees is underrated as an athlete but he won't make people miss especially at his age.
We have some nasty run stuffers that will make Elliot grounded on long runs and Stephon Gilmore vs Julio Jones can and will go either way but if we can get after Brees and bat balls due to his size and disrupt his pocket advantage goes to my secondary. Landon Collins is the dark horse of my defense, he was held back IMHO by one of the worst defensive coordinators last year who easily overran his welcome once Gruden got fired. Drafted Collins on the basis of his pro bowl years as a Giant where he was easily the best defensive player on that side before getting overpaid admittedly by DC. He did more chirping about David Gettleman than he did in making plays.
I like the camaraderie I have in guys. Brooks and Lane Johnson with their years of work together on the right side, Quinton Dunbar with Landon Collins, TJ Watt riding behind Cameron Heyward, Grady Jarrett up front for Deion Jones. We also sport some huge size in Waller, Sutton, AJ Green and Michael Thomas who all have great catch radius which will make Lamar's life easier. Michael Thomas showed in Brees' absence last year that Drew needed Thomas more than Thomas needed Drew as Michael Thomas did great with both Hill and Bridgewater.
Add the X Factor which is Lamar's feet and while sure he had 2 dud postseason games it wasn't all on him as his team got blown out and made them play catch up in the passing game which limited Greg Roman's offense mightily. I let Lamar Jackson run to the right and let the Eagles duo guide the way!
Crosby and Bailey had their 2018 woes but I believe both came on strong in 2019 and I like Andre Roberts as a back to back pro bowler as I saw with the Jets a real nasty player who can take one deep. Morstead doesn't punt much due to the NO offense always rolling but he is as good as they come.
Really happy with my squad but honestly PDuh drafted a heck of a team. Aaron Donald vs Brandon Brooks is an absolute treat, two of the elite at their positions going at it for 60. Worth the price of admission. Good job man with the drafting.

I vote Blindy. Hopefully remember tomorrow to write down my reasoning but it’s not even that close. Both defenses are weird but Blindy draftee perfectly to run a Lamar offense.

I think if you look at it like a straight matchup between the two teams Blindy's would win. pduh's team would really struggle to contain Blindy's rushing attack with two 4-3 DEs playing in a three man front. Lamar and Jacobs would feast running especially on that right side behind the Eagles duo of linemen.
I do like the variety pduh has with his receivers rather than Blindy whose guys are all huge producers but are basically X receivers. Deebo Samuel feels like a perfect guy for Drew Brees, and I think playing JuJu in the slot where he was really effective two seasons ago for the Steelers and exploit the middle of the field. I do fancy Deion Jones to wipe out OJ Howard though.

Sutton worked 3rd WR back when Sanders & Dey Thomas were there in his 1st year until Thomas was dealt midseason to HOU, he had to step up his role in year 2. He can rock inside. His role jumped out of necessity especially once Sanders demanded a trade. Hell of a blocker too, really underrated. His blocking made that Denver dynamic duo feast the past 2 years. broncoswire.usatoday.com/2020/01/06/denver-broncos-nfl-shares-video-of-courtland-sutton-blocking/I took him large part for the blocking but he is a big target and has solid hands and as a 3rd target in this offense yeah.

These are both pretty good teams. I barely put any thought into my roster and it shows. Oh well I knew that was going to happen. I don’t think about football when I’m not watching it, unlike other sports I follow.
I like Brees throwing to Jones way too much to vote against that. I think the veteran offence dominates and pduh’s defence not being able to contain Lamar ends up not mattering.
52-44 shootout.

Gilmore has gotten much better since leaving Buffalo, i know we laugh at how Parker spanked Gilmore in a week 17 game the Pats didn't take seriously but he has been among the best at his position and as freakish as Julio may be, if Brees isn't having a clean pocket what can he do? Teams for the most part stood away from throwing at Gilmore.
Patrick Peterson vs Michael Thomas will be a battle PP will need to find his A game to at all win that battle because Thomas had statistically a dominating 2019 in what had already been a great career thus far. Thomas got Peterson bad last year but the Saints designed slants that PP had zero shot in contesting.

The critical issue here is that pduh drafted the greatest player in football and put him in the wrong position. Not that Donald wouldn't be the best nose tackle in the game, he needs to be a DT in a 4-3 or at worst a 3-4 DE like he was last season, to truly influence the game.
Both teams have amazing offensive options, but Blindy is a little more dynamic for me. The combination of Jackson and Jacobs will keep the defensive line up at night.
Blindy in this one.

I don't understand some of the strategies of either team and it seems like they should almost swap defensive schemes. Todd was dead on when he said about drafting Donald.
Blindy has a 3-4 defense in personel through and through. I wish he would have punted on the Dunlap pick and drafted a different safety or something.
On offensive though I love what Blindy did. Yes he drafted a bunch of the same receivers but that height would be huge for Jackson. All receivers are like 6'4" and Waller is a gigantic target and AJ Green can still take the top off a defense sometimes. Especially one that has to play up to account for Lamar. I also love that he went straight power on the offensive line to take advantage of Lamars running and Jacobs ability to be a bruiser as well. No question that Blindy wouldn't have that vertical of an offense but playing chain to chain I think his offense would be pretty impossible to cover. The three lineman for pduh are awesome but I think Blindy could gameplan around them enough to score points.
pduh would put up some points as well. And Blindy's safeties would get eaten up by Brees but ultimately I don't think it'd be enough.
Blindy 41 pduh 30

I do like both teams here but this one seems like another easy match up for me to pick the winner. The better defense clearly belongs to pduh and I think he has the offensive weapons to win a game if it were close. My vote goes to pduh.

You under estimate my pass rush KING KID and interior play. Safeties i will give you though Ward had a great campaign last year but between two all pro pass rushers and an all pro cb i doubt my defense is shit. Grady Jarrett might not be Donald but hes among the elite DTs in the game today. The Falcons defense may suck but that isnt Jarrett or Lewis who is among the best coverage LBs in todays game fault. Their corner and pass rush play had failed them.

Oh it is really good, misread your post wrong I think it won't be so much a shootout if both teams can run the ball given the clock will be chewed. Don't see big time plays by either side maybe a deep Julio bomb or Lamar breaking one, my pace is meant to chew clock and get the other offense off the ball and wear the defenses down.
