PW NEWS EPISODE 79 (15:06) SMOOTH SAILING: Is Adam Cole a draw despite not being tall enough to ride most attractions? His thread is still being discussed. Weight classes and all that. Only issue I ever have with weight divisions and "moving up" like New Japan is it creates an obvious hierarchy because ain't nobody cutting fat in order to challenge for the Junior. Always the opposite. Looks like Kairi Sane may be going back to her home planet since she's packing up for a voyage on her Gummi Ship. But hey, at least she ain't Road Dogg!
DRAFTED OUT: Fan Fic Draft's third round is due by Monday. Whether they get posted or not by then is up for debate. Lost some steam a bit? I dunno, but if not Monday whenever time allows it. Kisses Asses vs. Gargano Geeks... it's the finals of a lifetime. Speaking of which, Animal Warfare has finally concluded. Baker has won, so I guess beating me somewhere in a Draft gets you the victory. I'll have to see if it was true for the Corona-chan Apocalypse or not.
NO CRYING IN MONKEY BALL: Another Woman Movie and it's A League of Their Own. Probably already discussed in the Tom Hanks countdown. It's about baseball, so I'm not sure what else to add. Also the next vidya entry is Monkey Island. We're getting more misses than hits here, but I guess it influenced games down the line. Perhaps the influence was simply creating a game that isn't dumb? No idea cuz I ain't ever played it bee. And I'm sure I'm not alone.

Buddy Murphy cutting weight to be able to compete on 205 Live was great and resulted in one of the best runs in WWE for ages - actually got me watching men's wrestling for a bit!
Road Dogg is a flog so I liked hearing that. He's pro-Trump and did a generally horrible job booking the women when he was head writer on Smackdown.
I agree that the forum probably needs to take a break from drafts and countdowns for a bit! Get creative with your content everyone!

Buddy Murphy cutting weight to be able to compete on 205 Live was great and resulted in one of the best runs in WWE for ages - actually got me watching men's wrestling for a bit! And let's not forget the best weight cut in history when Matt Hardy V1 dropped to capture the CW title in 2003. Furthers my point that weight classes could offer some easy built in stories that make things seem special!

The Tiger Mask gimmick was initially licensed in NJPW to bolster their Junior Heavyweight Division. Saturo Sayama, the first Tiger Mask, is most famous for his series against Dynamite Kid in NJPW. In 1984, AJPW bought the rights to the gimmick and it was given to Mitsuharu Misawa, who would become Tiger Mask II. Misawa voluntarily unmasked in 1990 and went on to rule the world. Somehow the gimmick went back to NJPW, but Koji Kanemoto's Tiger Mask III never saw success because Jushin Liger was THE MAN. Yoshihiro Yamazaki is the fourth Tiger Mask. He took the mask in 1995 and has remained Tiger Mask to this day. Don't know if he was with NJPW that whole time, but he is with the company now.

Then Kota Ibushi the hottest free agent in Pro Wrestling returned to NJPW but only under one condition, that he could be the new Tiger Mask. So they brought him into do that and he fought Kazuchika Okada in the gimmich. ACH aka Jordan Myles worked as the new Black Tiger Mask as well.
I'm considering this option for my guy in PW Wrestling, even though given his Mongolian heritage I don't think the annonymity would serve him well. It just depends on whether I want to cash in on Covid and get that mask money.

Now granted by time I took notice of the guy he was far removed from ever being relevant, just a random body in various 6/8 man tags... but fuck me I found him annoying. You cannot look cool/badass in that mask. MAYBE Brock could, but that's only because you can't hide that body. Seriously all animal mask people suck, even when Eddy was Black Tiger.
I like the idea of people inheriting a gimmick like this, but not this one.

The anime was probably cool. Never watched it, but marked out seeing screenshots of people like Charlotte.
